    Love to support helpful people! Before I order the filter removal kit, I want to confirm the link is the correct one. Amazon says it's NOT compatible with my 2023 Tundra????

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  9 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, the 2023 Tundra uses a new oil filter that is unique to it. However, the end of the filter that the filter removal tool fits onto is the same, so it will work for you.
      Thanks for the support!

      @Viktor_G_Automotive thanks for the response, however isn't that the cap wrench for 5.7L, 4.7L, and 4.0L tundras? That's what the amazon page shows. I was looking for the size of wrench for the 3.4L Twin Turbo 2022 to current engine tundras? Maybe I'm wrong, thanks for any further info!

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@sewaldo69 Toyota only uses 2 oil filter and/or cartridge cap sizes. The 3.4 L twin turbo engine spin on filter has the same size as the oil filter cartridge cap on the 5.7 L engine. Cheers!

    I have a hybrid like yourself. Is there a way to keep the engine on so the oil can circulate properly, the hybrid will obviously turn off after a little bit

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, there is a way to put the vehicle into a maintenance/inspection mode which will make the engine run all the time without shutting off. I can make a video one day.
      Alternatively, you can just give it a bit of throttle, which will make the engine run as well.
      You only need to run it for 15 seconds or so anyway to circulate the oil around the engine.

    This 0 weight oil is super thin which makes reading how full it is on the dipstick really hard when the oil is new and clean. Any tips on how to determine the actual fill level???

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  Месяц назад +1

      @@CobraChamp you could try shining a light on the dipstick to see the reflection or use a napkin and dab at the dipstick until you see the napkin wet from oil.
      But if you put the specified amount of oil in, it will be at a good level.

    ...you don't clean the mating surface on the motor for the filter to avoid grit etc from getting between them?...

      This is a very big topic and I am not an expert on all the differences between oil brands.
      I have personally used Mobil 1 for years and am happy with it.

    Viktor, i see there is about 3070 miles on that truck, is that the first oil change? I am trying to figure out when i am gonna do my first one on my new 2024, the book says 10,000 miles, i am not gonna do that. 3000 doesn't sound to extreme and of course, older motors were the first 1000 miles you do the "break in oil change". Just curious on your opinion on this particular truck/year. Thanks!

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  10 месяцев назад +4

      That is my friend’s truck, that was the first oil change, we are going to be doing them every 5K miles or so. That’s what I’d do on my personal vehicle.

    2:18 that 0w-20 literally sounds like water splashing in the drain pan. No wonder toyota is seeing seized engines. 20 weight is barely suitable for a naturally aspirated engine never mind the heat a dual turbo charged engine produces. I’m willing to bet moving to a 0w-30 to get rid of the failed engines toyota is seeing in this generation truck.

      Some new Toyota engines take 0w-8, I wonder how thin that is!
