I have been using Fumoto on my vehicles for the past 20 years, Benz, Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, Chevy, Lexus, Honda, and they work great. Fumoto recently came out with the new 133 for Toyota/Lexus that have a larger drain hole to make the drain faster. I just purchased the new 133 to replace the old 103 for Toyota/Lexus in my family. It costs around $40, but it is well worth every penny if you had it on your car for 5-10 years. Always buy from Fumoto directly to avoid counterfeit from elsewhere.
@HamnerTime That's for the NEXT times you change oil. It's completely drained before you initially install the Fumoto. Just flip the lever next oil change. No need to reinstall Fumoto.
I've watched many of your Tundra videos, and they are always enjoyable, and informative. You helped me with my stage 2 stillen intake on my 2021 platinum, and I wanted to get a nice, clear, concise video showing what I would expect and need for my new 2024 Tundra oil change (I don't like anyone else touching my truck either). Thanks! Exactly what I needed. And I love the fumoto for oil changes too. They should be freakin' standard on any vehicle, its a nobrainer. Had one on my 2021, and will be putting one on my 2024 first change she needs.
@@NitroZ18Fishing Thanks, But your walk through are PERFECT, love the precise directions. Got the kit and the all of the supply, just need to clean garage and make room to get truck on ramps.

Excellent video! I have a 2023 tundra off road with the same skid plate. I just completed my first oil change on the tundra. I am a fumoto fan as well and installed the same valve. Have you noticed how much clearance the fumoto has after the skid plate is reinstalled? I couldn’t tell if it came in contact with it or not. Thanks again for sharing the video.
Actually if it's a brand new truck your 1st oil change should be at 1000 miles. Which is right after your break in period. A good RUclips channel to watch on this thecarcarenut. He is a former Toyota mechanic who has years of expierience and started his own business and pretty much knows about all there is on Toyota/Lexus maintenance.
Having to remove the skid plate is news to me, that is kinda a bummer but not the end of the world. Have you used that oil in your older gen Tundra? In my 17 TRD Pro I once tried an 0W20 with a green energy saving label on it, because my local dealer was out of stock on OEM Toyota oil that I always used in all my Tundras. And it did not like it, on cold start up it would have a knocking/rattle sound, sounded like the timing chain was loose. I swapped it out the next day for OEM Toyota oil from another dealer location and it went away.
Hey Johnny!…yes sir, this is actually the only oil I’ve ever used on all 4 of my Tundras…never had any problems, that’s weird…but who knows!…and ya, I wish there was a way around removing the TRD plate, but thankfully it’s not hard at all to get out of the way…thanks for watching!
Great how to! Maybe I missed it but is was there a gasket between the valve and pan? Good call on the hose for the filter catch. I do all of my own maintenance but I'm gonna get my 2 free ones from the dealer first. I do have a good dealer that I trust.
Thanks Paul, I appreciate it!!…no gasket with the SX series, it’s an O-ring in its place…I should have shown that a little closer but you can see it when I show how to put the Fumoto together…standard Fumoto still uses gasket but the SX is the O-ring…hope that helps, thanks again!
@@NitroZ18Fishing Gotcha. I figured I missed something. I think I'm going with the short nipple standard one. One less connection that can leak and with the hose the direction doesn't matter so much. Thanks again.
Maybe a dumb question but when a truck is up on ramps versus on a lift and level does all of the old oil drain from the oil pan or do you think a fair amount can't drain because truck is not level on the ramps? Thanks
love the idea installing the fumoto valve; however would it be an issue with the toyota dealer to do an oil change since it comes free maintenance in two years or 25, 000 miles which ever come first.

Didn't know we have to take off skid plate to do oil change. I inserted a catalyst shield in between skid plate, which making this oil change even harder now.
Just did some searching. The skid plate before 2021 all have an opening for oil change. Why 2022 version does not have it anymore? taking skid plate off each time for oil change is time consuming.
Yea it’s an extra step, but honestly it’s pretty easy to take off…I think it’s because they went back to can style and it would be harder to get at them through that little window
Pro tip: its a lot easier to remove the crush washer / oil drain plug gasket when there is still oil coming out. Basically when its hot. Once it cools down because the lack of oil being in the pan it'll shrink and cause it to stick
