  • Repair Shop Ripped Him Off - Let's Fix It! The seller of this Xbox Series X took it to a repair shop for HDMI port repair but after spending $400 it only worked for about a month before it went back to not showing an image on the screen. Let's take it apart and see if we can figure out what went wrong. And get it working again, of course.

100% it was someone who's literally never fixed anything, they got it open, found when they pushed on the socket it would kind of work, they taped it, claimed victory.
They had it torn all apart so they thought they were supposed to throw some more thermal paste in there, like regreasing a bearing sort of, so the more the better.

The repair shop needs to get a microscope like Steve's. You can just instantly spot the problem with these tricky hdmi repairs.

Seems like HDMI ports are an issue with either bad installs or just worn out. And what's up with that pound of thermal paste! Lol! Another broken console is back to life! Great job Steve! Hope your feeling better! Praying for your full recovery!

6:12 That q-tip is like a freaking jumpscare. You kind of forget exactly how tiny everything else is when you don't have something for scale!

Unfortunately for the guy who took it to that repair shop had he just taken it to your shop in the first place it might of saved him some money though idk how much you charge for repairs but it definitely would been done right and CLEAN the first time around instead of having you to fix other people mistakes and clean up the mess they made love your videos love your work keep it up
