- This PS5 Was MELTED In A House Fire - Can I Fix It?! You've seen me try to fix game consoles before that were in house fires but I think this one is next level. Not really any liquid damage this time but lots of melted pieces inside and out. It's time to fix another PS5 "Smoke Edition" - if I can!

Making that console work again is sorcery.
😂
😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
everything is mostly fixable
Man I wish you the best, I thought you went bald because I haven’t seen your videos in over 2 years and when I read on the comments about what you’re going through man that was the last thing I expected, we’re rooting for you🙏. I’m going bald on my 20s😆
Wait, so what happened?
@@theelitegrinder4338He's on treatment for cancer. He has more information on a few other videos
@@theelitegrinder4338 cancer happened but no surprise since the west is exposed to lots of toxic stuff, from food, water, air to the media itself, stress levels etc no matter what everything is giving you sickness one way or another
He's got a good head shape and shouldn't worry about it at all. The more you worry, the faster it comes out!
@@Day100 I agree
What a legend still smashing out the great videos. Always love seeing your videos. Much love and respect.
Thanks for the comment! And for watching my videos.
@@Tronicsfix Made my day you replying. Try and keep eating brother xx
@@Tronicsfix God bless you 🙏🏼❤️ Love from the UK
Glad you're feeling good enough to release another video! Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. Take care of yourself and each other 😷
I've been lucky that I've felt good enough to keep filming mostly normally. Thanks for the comment!
Greetings from Peoria Az.
Steve you got this. I just got to my year 5 of cancer free. Be positive that's best thing. Lots of happy thoughts for you.
He beat it go read his recent post
@@ryans413 remission isn't *quite* beating it but it's certainly a very positive step. Let's hope it stays in remission and stays gone once it is.
My Mother was Diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I’m definitely Rooting & Praying for you!! 😊🙏🤲💙💚
May god bless your mother
You are braver than I. A switch on a power strip can be turned off easily, rather than plugging or unplugging the power supply.
That thing is still cleaner than some your previous tear downs.
Yeah, that would have been a better idea! And, yes, it is cleaner than some that hadn't been through a fire.
@@Tronicsfix, there's even single outlet adapters with an on/off switch (instead if the typical 4 or 6 outlet strips). The ones I got also have surge protection. 💖🌞🌵😷
Awesome fix. I loved the use of the burnt face plates. Best of luck on your recovery man
I hate that. If that was a look. Then others would do it.
thank you for these awesome videos hope you get well soon!
Thank you!
@@TronicsfixI usally don't comment often but I'm rooting for you. My mom is in remission from skin cancer currently so your current situation hits home.
Hope you too will be better soon
And honestly you Rock the bald look ❤❤
@@KingJohnMichael It does look cool doesn't it??
@@Tronicsfix wait what happened.
Omg those ports on the back looked extra ✨crispy✨ 😂😭
Looks more like extwa kwispy. :D
CRISPY NUGGS!
Dude! Your skills now from where you were even two years ago have really improved!! The reconnecting the pads was a baller move! Keep fighting!
Hey Steve! I just read your May 3 post in your blog. WONDERFUL news! I have been praying for you and your family. Stay strong and I will keep praying. God Bless!
I never miss one of your teardowns... I don't know why but i just enjoy the way you explain everything even for people (like me) that usually doesn't open devices up. Love the content, man ❤
true
My respect for still posting regardless of what your going through. Praying for a speedy recovery
I joined your channel just about the time you announced you were going to be going through treatment, I don't know exactly how it's going but you sure look good and seam to be doing good. Your positive attitude and look of happiness is contagious keep up the great work brother.
He has beaten it he still has some treatments to do but he’s cancer free now. Go to the community tab click on his recent link and read about his updates.
Mate, the calm, patience and devotion on that connector is absolutely remarkable. You are not only a master at repairing stuff but also an inspiration as a human being 👍🏻
i would definitely buy it just for the aesthetic. Great job and i hope everything is going well with the treatments.
Yeah, it ended up looking pretty cool. Treatments are going good overall. Not fun but manageable.
What a legend. Going through chemo one part of the day, making excellent videos the other part of the day. Cheers.
Thank you tronics Steve for your continued work for our enjoyment and education. wishing you best of luck through your current journey. This one was one of the most craziest just to even attempt to fix something in that rough of shape.
This custom house-fire edition PS5 looks pretty awesome. This seemed like a pretty simple repair for how badly it looked initially.
Thank you, Steve. You're awesome! I've been watching your videos for a while now, and you have given me the confidence to do my own repairs. It started with my PS4 and PS4 Pro full teardown to clean and replace almost the perfect amount of thermal paste (I will need more practice, lol). Up until this year, I worked up the nerve to tear down the PS5 and replace the liquid metal. Pulling apart the sandwich was the most nerve-wracking part of it all. But I couldn't have done it without you. So many necessary screws! Thank you for the help!
You fixed my ps4 back at your tronicsfix shop in Oregon. Thank you for that, it meant a lot 🙂 worked great for years afterwards. God bless you and your knowledge sir!
Hello Steve, god bless and best of luck. We’re pulling for you my dude
I cant lie i dont watch your videos anymore but i used to a lot and i cant not stop by to leave a comment with some love for you man you taught me a lot about fixing things i thank you from my heart hope you get over cancer man lost my idol to it too
What a wonderful job on fixing that PlayStation five you did a really good job and I’m very happy that unit is now working again. Keep up the good work. I love watching your videos 🎉
Can't believe it still works, awesome fix. Love how ya kept the burnt parts for it, it looks awesome.
I love that you used the melted plate! That thing looks awesome!
Oh Man what a video! really cool to watch someone like you try to fix this Frankenstein console and make it entertaining. GJ and keep the good vibes, best of luck with the quimo and get well soon steve!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Steve, hope u have a best recovery possible and keep the excellent content going always enjoy the repairs 👌
Hey man hope you’re doing good. Keep pushing and I hope you get better.
You have inspired me so much Steve. I really felt comfortble to try more complicated repairs and have got some pretty cool memories and items because of it. The only bad thing is friends and family always ask me to repair their stuff all th time now 😅 Ive always loved your videos and wish you nothing but the best man!
You should document stress testing this PS5. It would be a great selling point if the PS5 survived a house fire and prevent any internal component damage as well
Your skills are second to none! It's wild to see how many electronics you've brought back from the brink of death (fire in the home, in a flood, etc.), but this has to be one of the craziest. Thanks for another great repair and I wish you a speedy recovery!
Glad youre still making videos regularly, i wish you and tronics family the best and hope you are happy and healthy
Oh my... Where do you find this kind of consoles?
Be strong Steve, we're with you. 😊
Bought this one from a viewer
Reddit posts are full of these type of consoles basically the users are questionable people who idk how but somehow magically have a job, money, house etc while their items burn down or break and they never learn on their mistakes too ... At 1st I thought these are bots or joke posts but no, some people have no brain ...
Things like a person complained how a PS4 burned their sofa, like there is a black stain all over it, next thing comes up it wasn't the PS4 but they left their candle lit up next to the sofa ... When I asked wtf was a PS4 or a candle doing on the sofa or even near it anyway the answer was "I like to play it portable on a sofa and I lit a scent candle" ... they left home with things lit and running on ... no wonder why things burn down or break ... That PS4 not overheating is a miracle also it's a miracle that sofa actually didn't burn down completely and lit the house on fire ...
And things like can't pay the bills and have money for food but dumb enough to buy collectible junk, video games and let their electricity run day and night ... I mean how do these people even have a life let alone things in life with such attitude ?!
@@minmogrovingstrongandhealthy dude what history about the PS4 and the candle, but yes, there is a lot of these people in the world
Fantastic repair! I would love to buy it. It looks amazing! 👏🏻
I'm so glad every time I see you upload Steve. That means you still rocking your treatment! Keep it up Steve, you got this!
Keep pushing forward Steve, I hope you are making progress with your treatment, we are rooting for you.
I've watched damn near every video of yours man... I'd donate if I could, but unfortunately I'm financially declined at the moment. What I'm trying so say is STAY STRONG BROHER. WE LOVE YOU
Continued prayers for you my friend, thanks for the continued entertainment of watching you repair electronics!!
I know we only see what's in front of the camera, but you're looking great and full of energy here. I hope making videos isn't taking too much out of you. Keep up the good fight!
Leggo solo ora della tua malattia..non mollare! grazie per i tuoi contenuti, grazie a te ho iniziato a riparare qualche piccolo dispositivo! Un abbraccio dall' Italia!
I love the look of the burnt PS5. Brilliant fix! Hope you smash thru the cancer mate. All the best from the UK! ❤
I usually don't comment here, but just wanted to tell you that I honestly like to see the breakdowns you do to the consoles, it's interesting to see the insides and the assembling to put it back together.
I also hope you get better soon dude.
Oh man, you were stupid for this one! BUT YOU GOT IT TO WORK! You, Sir... are a GENIUS!
Please....sent it over to robert. I just want to watch his reaction. 😂 although, it isn't as bad as robert's rust bucket video.
I haven’t seen you do a tear down like this is awhile. So, this is a fun video to watch. Good to see you are feeling better enough to do your wonderful videos.
00:47 "So obviously this thing is broken." It is, but not too bad we hope. you can fix it. That "can do" attitude will get you through your bad times. And we as your viewers (and fans) will be by your side.
You really did magic to rescue that PS5!
Keep up the good work and I wish you a speedy recovery!
One of the only channels I'm subscribed to on yt. Dude is super cool. As someone who occasionally has to do some solder on small pins like this, the level of patience he has is unmatched. Wishing you the best and hope all goes well with your battle.
Hello from a Brazilian fan, I hope you are recovering and soon you will be 100%. a big hug.
Get well soon brother, you will get through this. My prayers are always with you.

Bravo, Steve! I certainly wouldn't have even attempted to try to mess with that tiny connector in that way with my shaky hands.
How?! I am completely speechless. Just lost for words. That’s brilliant 👍!
Hey man just read your recent update and that’s great news pretty much cancer free that’s great to hear. Keep up the treatments finish it and move on. I’ve had a few family members die from cancer. I've been there and am ok now and am totally healed stay strong ❤
You are bonkers. Loved this one, especially with you keeping the original panel. It’s a positive and fun way to tackle e-waste. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The final result looks rad, nice work. I haven't seen conformal coating that doesn't require UV light before.
Happy to see you feel confident about the outcome. I wish you well.
Dude, love your channel. Been watching for years. You’re the Bob Ross of gaming repair. Nothing but prayers for you, Brotha. 🙏Tremendous fun watching you repair this. 👊

As long as you’re posting videos, I’m here watching them. I cant do half the stuff you do, still try occasionally 😂. Doing god’s work for sure. It’s great to see people show off the skills they know. 💜
You ar the Gandalf of console repairs!! This is alchemy! This is madness!! Congratulations man!! All the best to you!!
Got to hand it to Sony those PS can take a fair bit of abuse.. except for the HDMI ports.. Amazing you got it up and running, fair play.
So happy to hear that you are in remission! Chuffed for you get well soon Steve
What’s funny is I have no idea on what Steve is doing lol 🤣 but I love watching his videos & how he brings these consoles back to life ❤
Outstanding job! to keep the burned plates makes it a statement piece. I bet many would love to have this one at home. 👏👏👏
Fingers crossed 🤞 here for your recovery soon mate from Brazil 🇧🇷 🇬🇧
The final look does look rather amazing in its own way. Steve again with the magic hands.
You handled your disease in such a good fashion, congrats on the results. Staying strong really can make a difference.
The fact that you got this working again was nothing short of absolute wizardry, Steve! I was excited right along with you when you put the burnt side panels on! It's kind of poetic. Keep up the good work and I hope you feel well! ❤
Edit: Just read your recent blog post and I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU. That is such good news. 5 down, 1 to go, my friend.
You the God of refurbishment! Other guys wish they had half the talent and expertise you do! That was awesome!
God bless you sir, get better. Sending my admiration, my respect and my prayers from this corner of South America (COL)
Jesus... That was some heavy wizardy and frankenstein work right there! I'm highly amazed ypu managed to make it work. Hopefully it doesn't have any overheating issues in the near future. Great work, great video.
This may be your best repair/fix yet! Awesome job with this one!
Dude!! I can not believe that thing actually turned on. Great video!!!
Man I can't believe Steve stay's upbeat and look on postive side of what looks like another totally unfixable console.... All tne best mate I've been reading through the comments of what you are going through I to have been balding since my 20 something's
Definitely my favorite fix it guy! You’re like the Bob Ross of electronics
Steve you saved it! OMG you are such a good fixer! I love listening to you while you fix things. Such a nice steady voice
you went all out really saving the parts, nice to see we can re-use pretty much anything!
I do think it's inspiring to see you doing well and so happy with everything you've been through.
The board level connector repair was the best I have ever seen!
By looking at the major damage, this console definetlely wanted to be a digital version 😂
Great job. It is amazing that those elctronics can survive a fire, but when there is a tiny scratch somewhere on the MB, it is broken.
I'm also sending much health wishes as I can. 🥰
I've discovered your channel recently and I love it, you are doing an awesome job saving all these consoles, I've learned a lot already from your videos. At the same time I'm really sad to see you going through all of this, wish you the best of luck and hope you'll get well asap❤

Love your videos. ive been watching for a few years now. Im fascinated by people who understand technology like you do. Your videos are also very calming to watch before bed :)
A little more waves and that disc drive would be full of surfers lmao, I'm really impressed a lot of parts survived the fire and as always the magic to bring it back to life is impeccable!
