I bricked my Steam Deck and it behaved very similarly. It turned out the bios was bad and I had to reflash the BIOS chip with a CH341 programmer, might be worth a look. Wishing you all the best as well, Steve!
This is exactly what I was thinking, this is behaving like a corrupted BIOS, possibly a power failure during a critical update mid bios flash, or just user error.

"Completely power it off Connect the ac adapter (the LED should be solid white) Press the volume + and the "..." button in front of your deck for 10 seconds When the LED starts blinking 3 times disconnect the power brick while still pressing the buttons When the LED turns off after blinking connect it again to the ac adapter and it should boot normally"

@@Tronicsfix sadly my mom passed away in 2022 but not because the cancer, she had a gastroscopy and the doctor has injured her internally... She died from internal hemorrhage. But she had anyway a full recovery from the cancer and had a happy life.

First of all, I wish you all the best with your health. If I recall, the black screen is a known problem with the steam deck. You can try to refresh the bios via a programmer. Maybe that will fix it.

Hi from Brasil! Had Lymphoma 7 years ago, 6 chemo sessions and 30 radio therapy sessions. Since 2018 with no symptoms. You will be cured soon!! Don't forget to drink a lot of water, eat well (avoid raw fish, red meat and wash very well your vegetables and fruits), some vitamins suplements. Thanks for the videos and stay strong!!
Lost my dad two months ago to lung cancer. He got really ill in November gone on February 2nd. Doctors weren't even able to do a Biopsy on him cause by the time we could get him in for it he had deteriorated too quickly. Never seen something so quick in all my life. I'm happy that your diagnosis is way more promising and I am rooting for you to get well soon.

Speedy recovery Steve! I had the same issue and the internal display stopped working. Was able to recover it but using the external monitor and perform BIOS update / soft reset.
For some really weird reason this video was in spanish (not subtitles, but the audio) and it was freaking me out to hear you like that. Hello Steve. Greetings from Senegal. I first want to thank you for your videos, your channel helps me a lot in the past. For this particular issue, I suspect it to be related with the Analogix Slimport ANX7580 Chip that could be faulty. It already happens to me in my first Steam Deck (I've tried everything, replacing screen, ribbon ended buying a new motherboard the first time). Then I got it replaced with one I've bought on eBay and it fixes the problem for me. Hoping this is your issue and that this will help. Wishing you a great recovering and a great day
Steve, praying for your recovery. Regarding the problem with the steam Deck, sometimes it simply doesn`t read USB flash drives. Try a SSD card and it should work. Best regards!

Cancer sucks get well! This one is not related buuut My Dad has Colon Cancer but so far it has not lead to having to do drastic treatments as far as I can tell. Hope it can stay that way for good and it never comes back.

Give this a shot Steve.
1.Completely power it off
2.Connect the ac adapter (the LED should be solid white)
3. Press the volume + and the "..." button in front of your deck for 10 seconds
4. When the LED starts blinking 3 times disconnect the power brick while still pressing the buttons
5. When the LED turns off after blinking connect it again to the ac adapter and it should boot normally

I first want to thank you for your videos, your channel helps me a lot in the past.
For this particular issue, I suspect it to be related with the Analogix Slimport ANX7580 Chip that could be faulty.
It already happens to me in my first Steam Deck (I've tried everything, replacing screen, ribbon ended buying a new motherboard the first time). Then I got it replaced with one I've bought on eBay and it fixes the problem for me. Hoping this is your issue and that this will help.

Steve, praying for your recovery. Regarding the problem with the steam Deck, sometimes it simply doesn`t read USB flash drives.
Try a SSD card and it should work.
