Awesome review! So happy you featured this. I’m a frequent traveler and have tried many suitcases. I got the larger carry-on a few months ago and am beyond impressed. Here are a few more pros for this piece from someone who has used it on several trips (from one week to one month in duration): 1. This bag is SO lightweight. It’s what sold me honestly. I bought the Away and tried it out, and by the time I packed everything I usually take it was so heavy. This one is a breeze to handle by comparison. 2. You can fit so much in here!!! I was a little sad at first that it wasn’t expandable, but since using it I haven’t even needed that function. I’ve used it for month-long trips. The outside is durable yet pliable and you can really stuff a lot in there if you want to and manage to squeeze it shut 😅😅. 3. Speaking of durability, the outside is so pretty and almost shimmers, yet hardly gets scratched up. I’ve checked it, dragged it, lugged it on and off shelves and it still doesn’t have any permanent scratches. It does get some black smudges every now and then, but they come right off with a wet rag and if it’s real bad I use the included magic eraser. Usually I give it a wipe down after each trip and it looks almost new! 4. Another point for durability is the wheels. I’ve sprinted across the airport, dragged it across gravel and cobblestones, and just leisurely glided with it anywhere I go. Smooth as butter no matter the terrain! 5. Just to reiterate, it’s so pretty and classy. I love looking at it ❤ Hope this helps anyone else considering this bag! Just buy it 😉
I just ordered mine. Coming this week in time for a trip. With all your and It’s the Kellys’ positive comments I can’t wait to use it. I was also feeling like maybe I should have gotten the expandable, but I opted for the 20” to be certain it would fit on international as well as domestic planes. Thanks for your detailed review..
Yes, I would love to see a comparison video of the Quince and Monos luggage! I am especially interested to see if the Quince exterior is as durable and scuff resistant. I have purchased a cashmere sweater from Quince in the past, and I love the quality and fit, so I have high hopes for this brand!
They moreso compare to away, they are exact. I’ll consider adding Monos in there too. They are more scratch and scuff resistant than Away, I’ve already tested it
I have both... bought the cheaper quince piece for my son... the monos has numerous miles on it and its a great bag. the quince is obviously a cheaper plastic shell, but the interior (quince is about an inch larger interior) is almost the same. Wheels look the same and roll as well... the handle for the quince and monos are equally flimsy. I usually don't check bags... the quince may get an eye roll on international flights... and when the occasional checked bag... the monos comes out fine... time will tell for the quince...
+1 for a comparison to the Monos carryon. Would love to see you do a review btw them, @ItsTheKellys. Especially with respect to the scuffing and wear and tear resistance.
I just came back from a 10 day New Zealand/Australia trip with the 21’ expandable carry on (the bigger one) and it performed amazing. I traveled with my elderly parents and they had same Quince bag and underseat pro and it made traveling so much more efficient. Delta was fine but had to check the bag on Qantas for my Auckland to Sydney Flight(I didn’t plan weight so I was ok cause it was free). The bag was amazing…smooth silent wheels, lightweight, lots of extra zipper compartments and holds a lot even before expanding. Even with checking bag it came out great, sturdy bag. Top notch Customer service also!! The interior started to come apart a little (over packed and stuffed to limit on way home) and they sent a new luggage immediately and didn’t require me to send old one back. Love Quince
Thank you Lauren for sharing this awesome and in depth review on this beautiful luggage. I have been researching for awhile as I needed a new carryon for my upcoming trip and Because of your awesome review, I purchased the Carryon in tan. I am so happy with my purchase. The only thing I did notice that was a tad annoying was I had to fidget a little with the lock latches as they kept turning if that makes sense. Not a big deal but wanted to mention that. Other than that minor detail, it’s a beautiful luggage and aesthetically pleasing and I’m so excited and can’t wait to pack it and take it on my trip. Thanks so much and I love your channel. Keep up the great work!!
I’m so happy that you got it and like it! I just got the expandable one to review and I’m going to travel with it soon :) I’m a bit confused about the latch locks- do you mean the zipper pulls to go into the tsa lock?
Hi Lauren- I was wondering how long have you had your quince carryon luggage and was curious how durable are the zippers? I have purchased mine recently and already started packing for my trip. I’m constantly reorganizing my stuff in my luggage as I’m a perfectionist and I’m afraid I might be abusing the zippers too much. lol. Also I’m trying not to overload it and wasn’t sure how durable the compression panel straps are. I am making sure I don’t pack more than the depths of each compartment. Your expert advice is always so helpful. Thank you ☺️
I just found your channel and have been watching all your videos, I love them. Do you know if the ‘bigger’ carryons will fit in the new domestic book style overheads? I ask because my tried and true carryon was too long to fit bookstyle only the traditional flat way.
I am excited about these! I have international travel coming up and my Beis roller is sometimes a little big for domestic travel. The quince site is pretty darn amazing and I would LOOOOVE to see a travel clothes haul. Silk and linen are my go-to for carry-on only packing since they are so light and take up no room and can be dressed up or down. The cost is an issue though so I spend a lot of time combing Thred Up. Would you ever consider a Thred Up travel clothes haul? It's a risky venture. I have gotten amazing finds and been punked too. i guess it's my form of gambling lol. thanks for your videos as always!
I’m not sure I’m ready to dive into fashion for reviews, since I focus on travel essentials. I’ve thought about it as a “what to pack” with showing clothes, but as a plus sized woman, a lot of companies are sadly not inclusive yet, even Quince. I am doing packing videos every Wednesday from now on with what clothes I would bring for trips, but it’s all my own wardrobe and what I already own, and some of it may be old.
Looks awesome Lauren. I have an Away bigger carryon that I love but would love a smaller one...don't want to pay the price. This smaller one would be a great solution. Just wish it came in colors other than beige and black like the bigger one does. As always, thanks for being my go-to for great reviews and tips!
I know, it’s hard for companies I can imagine. I know everytime I poll you guys, people prefer the dark and the neutrals over brights and pastels, so that’s usually why they come out with limited editions.
Thank you for comparing these two sizes! Exactly what I was looking for. The 21" is much more popular. Super helpful seeing how the same amount of clothing can fit in the 20", although with some creative compression and packing. A++
I bought the expandable carryon and the bigger expandable carryon. I love that the added two pockets on the mesh zipper compartment. I’m going on a five week trip to the uk and Ireland, so I’ll let you know how it does. 👍😁
Just subscribed, awesome review! I love Quince and have also been eyeing both bags for my trip to Japan. I'm flying Air Canada and will purchase the smaller one to be on the safe side.
Hi! Thanks for this. Do they have any chemical smell? I just bought a hard shell from Marshals and the toxic smell is overwhelming. It’s going back. Hoping these are better!
Hi Lauren, thanks for a great review again! I watched your videos last year and almost went for Monos, then I found Quince. 😂There was no review on RUclips, and I was skeptical. I still gave it a try because of the good price and good reviews on their website. Just want to share my personal experience here and hope it helps. Except for the first bag I got from them having a little issue (which they took it back and gave me a replacement. Very responsive and good customer service BTW), so far it has been working very well. I have the 24" check-in suitcase in tan, so it gets a lot more rough treatments than a carry-on. I used it many times already (more than 12 trips this year I think). I like the color a lot as I am a pink lover, but don't want something too loud. This tan is more like a soft nude to me which is close to pink yet not pink. 😂The light color does show scuffs very easily, but I always use a magic eraser to clean the bag when I get home and it works really great. I especially love how smoothly it rolls (I had my old Samsonite for many years, so the difference is huge 😂)! I am so happy to see that they finally released a 27" check-in bag, so I bought one. And then they released an expandable 27", so I an getting it for my boyfriend and ready for our Europe trip later this month. 😊
@@kimjordan8151 No problem at all! 😊 Here is my review of the non-expandable 27" and expandable 27”: My 27" worked perfectly for our three-week winter trip to Europe (4 countries, 5 flights). It’s bigger, so my big winter coats, boots and stuff fitted in no problem and I kept the weight under 50 lbs. No scratches at all, just some scuffs as usual, and I cleaned the suitcase with a magic eraser easily. Then my bf’s 27" expandable. I don’t think my bf expanded the bag at all, and it could fit a lot already. The only concern is, when we rolled the suitcase, the bottom hung down (like the bottom was soft and got weighted down), and it probably got too close to the ground. There’s a piece of stuff (fabric probably? Not sure how to describe it correctly) in the bottom, and it got worn pretty badly already. lol Our bags are the same weight, so I was surprised to see that. Mine didn't seem to have this problem. I am so glad I keep the non-expandable version. Airlines usually have a 50 lbs limit for a standard checked bag, so the 27" non-expandable works great for me.
I am flying American Airlines to Rome. What are your thoughts on which size to choose? I'd really love the extra space in the 21 inch but don't want to have to check it.
Always the 20”. I just did the 20” expandable version to India and Nepal. It was great, and it gives you more space when you need it on the way home :)
Love this review of brand I never heard of. Thank you for always bringing us relatable videos that are so helpful. I also appreciate the consistency of your reviews across product lines so that we can get a clear understanding of how they compare even when in separate videos! I would really love to see reviews of travel clothing brands, especially merino wool lines vs bamboo or linen, etc. I tend to wear cotton and linen, and never imagined wool until your videos. Thank you!
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you, Lauren! Do you still recommend their products for travel wardrobe? Even in the summer?! It really boggles my mind; the idea of wearing WOOL in warm weather!
It all depends on the airline and quite honestly the gate agent you get for that flight. I never advise the larger carry on’s for international travel, as it states in their rules it has to be 45 linear inches or less. If you get away with it, it’s just luck.
Hi Lauren - how many lbs will the 20” hold and how durable are the YKK zippers. I packed my Quince carryon pretty darn good , weighing 24-25 lbs.It zipped/closed with a little help on my part but it zipped up fine. I just worry and wonder how the YKK zippers will hold up without busting open during travel. 😬
There isn’t really a way for me to contact them for a review being an Amazon company. The inside seems nice and it looks like it may be a decent size, but there is barely any information online, which is usually a red flag for me
I would love to see the video of these against Monos! 🤗 I have my eye on the Monos Carry on plus but would love something more cost efficient if possible.
I purchased the 20" expandable because of international travel and the desire to hopefully not have to check luggage. (I chose the expandable 20" for souvenirs)😄 My daughter is using it first on an upcoming trip to the Galápagos Islands with her professor to do some conservation research. Hopefully it will hold her hiking boots, snorkel set, work gloves, plus clothes for the 10 day trip. Her personal item is a smaller backpack per the airlines extreme size restrictions. I really appreciate your reviews and packing tips. The transfer from the larger bag to the smaller bag was an ingenious visual. This was fantastic! I really appreciate what you do and offer on your channel very much. Thank you!😘👏👏👏
Love your channel!!!, Im looking for the perfect carry on bag for my trip to Greece this year, so far this bag is the winner for me in terms of dimensions and most important for my budget. Still debating on the pieces of clothing I'm bringing, already bought the compression packing cubes😊😊, thanks again for all the tips
Thank you for this review. I have been curious if their luggage. I absolutely love their linen clothing as well as their Cotten clothing, next I want to try their household bedding!!
Hi Lauren. Great review. However it seems every review has me wanting that carry on. I’m personally looking for one carry on that can be used for international travel. You have so many good options but I can’t remember one from the others, senior moments. I would like a video focusing solely on comparing all the different carry ons (with wheels) that are international friendly. Thanks for all you do!
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you Lauren. I’ll just might have to wait until end of 2023 for my international carry on purchase; which is OK cuz as of today my next international adventure isn’t til 2024. However, who knows for sure, lol 🤷🏻♀️
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you! I want you to know that I enjoy your videos because they are so informative. I binged quite a few of your videos and learn something new on each one (no need to respond 😉)
What type of compression cubes are those? I really like this smaller bag but I did get the carry on expandable bag by July so I’m excited either way. You have inspired me with wanting to travel much more. Was so skeptical about traveling alone
For the telescopic handles, are the silver pins exposed on the carryon but not on the checked bag? Curious if one seems sturdier than the other? Thanks!
Thank you for reviewing! I don’t check bags often but if I find I need a check-in size, I think I’ll go with Quince to save money. For the carry-ons, I still think monos’ compression straps are second to none!
Oh my lanta that tan color is calling my name! Dumb question, but does expanding a carryon usually knock it off the allowance list for sizing in the overhead storage bins, thus requiring it to be checked last min? I’ve been scared to get an expandable one for that reason
This bag is an exact dupe for away. Monos compression is different/better. I did film the scratch test for it, and it passed, I just don’t know when/if I am posting that video, as I have too many others coming out soon.
Many airlines restrict carry on height to 21". This quince you say is just under 22"....iyo, will airlines quibble about 3/4 of an inch? Air canada, for example says 21"....
@@ItsTheKellys I bought the 21 quince. After measuring it and comparing it to my others I’m very happy with it. I’ll update you after I use it for travel.
My next trip is a long weekend in Vegas later this month! 🥳🍾🎰 I have some leggings from Quince that I like. I didn’t get the sizing right on the tshirts I ordered, so I returned those. I’d love to see you compare some of their merino wool products to products you have already! I’m very interested in the quality of the sweaters
Depends on what you pack. I don’t often weigh during my videos because my clothes are a lot heavier and I have camera gear and weights can differ based on the person. My hard bags are usually 20 pounds
We are thinking about traveling to Denmark next year which will be our first trip to Europe. Two questions: have you traveled to Copenhagen and do you have a primary recommendation for carryon luggage for Europe?
I have been to Copenhagen! I went solo in 2021! And any luggage that I review on here is good for European travel, as long as it’s under 22x14x9. This one, Monos, Heys, and Level8 are all great!
Technically Jet Blue says 22 x 14 x 9, which would be the smaller size, but I’ve taken some similar sized to the sizers and it fit. Whether or not you risk it is up to you. Personally I don’t buy big carry ons, as half of the airlines in the world don’t allow them.
Pro bags take up valuable internal packing space along with what will you do if they make you gate check the bag? Your laptop is now under the plane or you have to carry it with you. I make sure I always have a personal item that can carry my laptop to avoid this. @@DewTime
@DewTime the front pocket on the outside usually takes away from the depth inside. And if you put your laptop in it, and are forced to gate check it, you have to take everything out of the pocket. I always keep my laptop in my personal item, so a carry on with a front pocket is not needed, in my opinion.
I have been shopping Quince for several years now. The amount of clothing I have purchased for myself, husband, father & brother is A LOT. The are an amazing company. Not only are their products high quality they have very affordable prices, 365 returns AND some of the best customer service I've ever had. I have purchased pants, shorts, wool sweaters, cashmere sweaters, socks, underwear and even a purse. The only downside is lack of extended sizes both petite and plus. I'm short and as a result their dresses didn't work as the waist hit my hips and it wasn't flattering. It was me not the dress it was very nice and good quality and I was super bummed it didn't work. If you do fall within their size range I highly recommend their products.
Great comparison video Lauren. Although not currently in the market I love any product that has similar if not equal hardware and materials that goes up against the trendy push for away, béis et cetera.
So happy for this review! Regarding the other bags, I saw a reviewer recommend their leather bags made in Italy. I’m excited to challenge myself with the smaller bag as it is more manageable. Question - I have some personal feedback from my 3 week trip in Turkey and France and would love to share; I did my best to pack carryon only using Away and a Lo & Sons weekender. Happy to email so you can include this in your already excellent advice!
Sure go ahead and email me! Thanks :) and I ordered one of their leather bags for myself! I’m not reviewing it, but I can post about the quality when I receive it :)
I think they upsized the luggages. On the websites the 20” and 21” are wider and thicker than your measurement and the 21” have 2 pockets on the left side
This is the one I reviewed: www.quince.com/unisex/small-carry-on-hard-shell-suitcase?color=tan&tracker=collection_page__home%2Ftravel%2Fsuitcases__Suitcases__3

Thank you for letting us know! I do find the compression on monos to be a little bit better, but I’m just happy that a bag this inexpensive has a compression pad at all!
I couldn’t find anything on warranty for Quince. I did see the 365 days for returns. But again, no mention of warranty terms. Monos is very clear and explains their lifetime warranty. Away also explains their limited lifetime warranty.
It's freaky how similar the compression packing cubes from Quince are to Monos compression cubes. Would love to see a comparison between those two please & thank you :)
Great video! I wish I would’ve known about this brand back in February when I bought my Beis carryon which I absolutely love (and probably wouldn’t have bought had it not been for your video the Beis vs. Away Bigger Carry On) but again those bags look great for the price!
Looks good but for those looking for 22x14x9 and not made in China-here are the details from their website: External dimensions including wheels: 22" H x 14.4" W x 9.1" D Internal dimensions excluding wheels: 20.1” x 13.5" Capacity 40L Weight: 6.2lbs Origin: Quanzhou, China
Most luggage is made or manufactured in China or Asia. Including the higher end brands, and most that have been reviewed on this channel. Even my iPhone I’m typing on, the camera I used to film, or the computer I used to edit this video.
I have an entire packing playlist of how to pack a capsule wardrobe for many outfits, complete with a fashion show of the items. For luggage reviews, I simply fill up the cubes, and don’t really count.
That’s ok! I just want to look on my own :) to make sure. Sometimes I think it’s the way that the zipper is “in” more than aligned with the shell. Away tends to have the same problem and these 2 are identical.
I think Monos is a little better with durability, and has more hardcore compression, but the price difference is huge, so it all depends on what you are willing to spend. Quince is still an extremely amazing bag, especially compared to Away.
@@ItsTheKellys You are amazing! Thank you for all your videos and insights! I love seeing a person that is genuinie and happens to wear my size!!! Keep traveling, seeking and passing all the knowledge along, you are great at it!!!!
I have not yet, but it's something I might do soon. If I had to buy one, I would buy Monos. I did rank them in this video ruclips.net/video/CSmtMGD2Mcg/видео.html@@DewTime

Thank you for your review!
@@kimjordan8151 No problem at all! 😊
Here is my review of the non-expandable 27" and expandable 27”:
My 27" worked perfectly for our three-week winter trip to Europe (4 countries, 5 flights).
These are nice ans so affordable. Thanks for reviewing them
Can you do a comparison between smaller Quince luggage and the new smaller Beis luggage?
Thank you!
I have a few videos from wool&, showing their dresses and shirts and pants.
@@ItsTheKellys
Thank you, Lauren! Do you still recommend their products for travel wardrobe? Even in the summer?! It really boggles my mind; the idea of wearing WOOL in warm weather!
going to UK & Italy and flying to Italy on easy jet - I want to buy the 21-inch but not sure if they will allow this carry-on.
please advise
you advise the 20 in your comments! but i would love the larger 21-inch! how strict are airlines?
It all depends on the airline and quite honestly the gate agent you get for that flight. I never advise the larger carry on’s for international travel, as it states in their rules it has to be 45 linear inches or less. If you get away with it, it’s just luck.
Thank you !
Hello Quince! Thanks for reviewing. Will definitely check them out
There is an expandable one now too! Top 3 luggage for me for sure!
Ykk zippers are the best you can get. I wouldn’t worry. You can get the expandable one if you’re worried :)
Thank you and I do plan on getting the expandable for my hubby 😉
Could you review the Xiaomi Luggage Classic 20. My girlfriend in Thailand is using one and seems like a lot of quality went into it for sub-$100 price
There isn’t really a way for me to contact them for a review being an Amazon company. The inside seems nice and it looks like it may be a decent size, but there is barely any information online, which is usually a red flag for me
Will those hold up to your test of scratching and scuffing that you do?
I actually did test it when I was filming an away comparison and they did hold up much better than away!
I would love to see the video of these against Monos! 🤗 I have my eye on the Monos Carry on plus but would love something more cost efficient if possible.
I Will compare this to away and Monos. It’s almost exact to Away, but a little different from Monos.
So would I since Monos has a sale
Thank you!😘👏👏👏
I just got the same bag for a review and likely to use on my next trip! I hope you guys like it! (And hope I do too!)
Can you review the travel bags. There clothes are amazing too
I unfortunately don’t fit in their clothes, so I can’t try them. I have a few bags coming :)
Very nice and a great size. What was the weight?
Love your channel!!!, Im looking for the perfect carry on bag for my trip to Greece this year, so far this bag is the winner for me in terms of dimensions and most important for my budget. Still debating on the pieces of clothing I'm bringing, already bought the compression packing cubes😊😊, thanks again for all the tips
Greece! How exciting! Quince does make an expandable one too now :)
Thanks... I just bought the expandable one!!! 🛫🛫 let's travel
can you make an update vid on the monos and july? i can’t decide between the two😢
I’ll be doing a comparison between the two soon. They have both been great
Thank you for this review!! I love my regular monos carry on but if I ever want to get a larger one I’m totally going to try the Quince…
Thank you for this review. I have been curious if their luggage. I absolutely love their linen clothing as well as their Cotten clothing, next I want to try their household bedding!!
Ooh me too! I have some in my cart!
Hi , how are the handles? Are thy solid or wobbly?
They are solid. Same as most other bags- not better or worse :)
Going to Scotland later this year for a family wedding. Just got a Quince carry on and I’m so excited!
Awesome! Have fun! I traveled with my Quince expandable on my last trip and it was wonderful
I can’t wait to see this comparison video. 😊
I did one at the end of 2022 and plan on doing another one at the end of 2023. I might start doing shorts, comparing all handles and wheels etc.
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you Lauren. I’ll just might have to wait until end of 2023 for my international carry on purchase; which is OK cuz as of today my next international adventure isn’t til 2024. However, who knows for sure, lol 🤷🏻♀️
You honestly can’t go wrong with any of them. I don’t review things I don’t like :)
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you! I want you to know that I enjoy your videos because they are so informative. I binged quite a few of your videos and learn something new on each one (no need to respond 😉)
Great info, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
This is awesome! Would love to hear how you feel about it after a trip.
Which compression cubes do you have?
What type of compression cubes are those? I really like this smaller bag but I did get the carry on expandable bag by July so I’m excited either way. You have inspired me with wanting to travel much more. Was so skeptical about traveling alone
They are from Aerotrunk! amzn.to/3rQRwSn 💕
For the telescopic handles, are the silver pins exposed on the carryon but not on the checked bag? Curious if one seems sturdier than the other? Thanks!
I don’t have the checked bags so I’m not sure.
@@ItsTheKellysOh, my mistake! Was thinking you did :)
It can, but if I had to check, I’d rather do it on the way home, so expand it on the way home if you need to.
How is this different from monos? And can you do the test where you drag it all over your sidewalk? I was looking for it in this video. Thank you!❤
This bag is an exact dupe for away. Monos compression is different/better.
I did film the scratch test for it, and it passed, I just don’t know when/if I am posting that video, as I have too many others coming out soon.
@@ItsTheKellysthank you! I'll probably be buying one of these unless monos has a really good sale.
@@ItsTheKellysalso, thank you for always pumping out new content. I know it takes a lot of time and work. I'm looking forward to them 😊
I was wondering about this company. Thanks for the review.
You’re welcome :)
Many airlines restrict carry on height to 21". This quince you say is just under 22"....iyo, will airlines quibble about 3/4 of an inch? Air canada, for example says 21"....
It fits in the air Canada bin!
Because of the affordability I am serious about the standard size. How does it compare to the monos carry on? Which you highly recommend
They are nearly the same, just different compression. (Monos has stronger compression)
@@ItsTheKellys I bought the 21 quince. After measuring it and comparing it to my others I’m very happy with it. I’ll update you after I use it for travel.
My next trip is a long weekend in Vegas later this month! 🥳🍾🎰
I have some leggings from Quince that I like. I didn’t get the sizing right on the tshirts I ordered, so I returned those. I’d love to see you compare some of their merino wool products to products you have already! I’m very interested in the quality of the sweaters
I dont fit in their clothes :-/ I’m plus size and they only go to an xl. Otherwise I’d love to.
Hi Lauren right now Quince is offering $20.00 off if you sign up for email updates.
Perfect!
You have to spend $200, I think
I’d love to know how much the 20” weighs once packed.
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you so much! Any travel tips for Denmark or perhaps videos?
I made this!

ruclips.net/video/tknA2J-n9Og/видео.html
Denmark is lovely as are the Danish. ❤
Do you think the larger would be safe for JetBlue international?
Technically Jet Blue says 22 x 14 x 9, which would be the smaller size, but I’ve taken some similar sized to the sizers and it fit. Whether or not you risk it is up to you.
Personally I don’t buy big carry ons, as half of the airlines in the world don’t allow them.
Thank you for replying. Is the Heys airlite still your favorite?
I have a lot of favorites. It really depends more on where I’m going, if the airline weighs bags, and what I need to bring.
Can you do a review of the newer version with the laptop compartment on the outside?
Potentially. I do review pro bags, but I don’t ever suggest them for people for various reasons.
@@ItsTheKellyswhat’s the downside of a pro bag?
Pro bags take up valuable internal packing space along with what will you do if they make you gate check the bag? Your laptop is now under the plane or you have to carry it with you. I make sure I always have a personal item that can carry my laptop to avoid this. @@DewTime
@DewTime the front pocket on the outside usually takes away from the depth inside. And if you put your laptop in it, and are forced to gate check it, you have to take everything out of the pocket. I always keep my laptop in my personal item, so a carry on with a front pocket is not needed, in my opinion.
I find a lot of their things run on the small side. I’m a xs or small typically but tend to get mediums in their sweaters.
Good to know!
I’d love to try their clothes eventually :) they have a few extended sizes in the sweaters so far, but I’d love a lot more
Great comparison video Lauren. Although not currently in the market I love any product that has similar if not equal hardware and materials that goes up against the trendy push for away, béis et cetera.
Yes please I would love to see that video
This is the one I reviewed:
www.quince.com/unisex/small-carry-on-hard-shell-suitcase?color=tan&tracker=collection_page__home%2Ftravel%2Fsuitcases__Suitcases__3
I don’t know if I’m correct, but I think the 20” and 21” might be the measurements for inside the suitcase, not outside.
20 and 21 is just the name, not the actual measurement. The real measurements include the wheels and handles. Are you looking at the expandable one?
Our next trips are Las Vegas and an Alaskan cruise.
Thank you for letting us know! I do find the compression on monos to be a little bit better, but I’m just happy that a bag this inexpensive has a compression pad at all!
I love this so much
Which compression tubes are these?
They are from Aerotrunk, and Quince now has some just like them too.
I Will eventually! I just got them. Aerotrunk is similar too!
If an airline says 20” does this include the wheels as well?
It would normally say this, but usually yes
@@ItsTheKellysThank you…are you able to recommend a reputable brand (available in Canada) that meets the 20 inch requirement. Many thx!

Even though it’s technically over, it should fit in the sizer. All 22x14x9 does when I test them

Looks great! I hope they restock the other colors soon.
Looks good but for those looking for 22x14x9 and not made in China-here are the details from their website:

Internal dimensions excluding wheels: 20.1” x 13.5"
Capacity 40L
Weight: 6.2lbs

@@ItsTheKellysI see the measurements for the 20 inch is more than when you measured them. The outside measurements. Thanks
How many outfits did you get in the luggage?
I have an entire packing playlist of how to pack a capsule wardrobe for many outfits, complete with a fashion show of the items.
For luggage reviews, I simply fill up the cubes, and don’t really count.
Yes, the zipper pulls for the lock. I apologize I wasn’t clear
That’s ok! I just want to look on my own :) to make sure. Sometimes I think it’s the way that the zipper is “in” more than aligned with the shell. Away tends to have the same problem and these 2 are identical.
This bag would be absolutely perfect if it the zipper side had pockets on them. I need those, especially when taking a carry on
I find that having pockets on hard shelled luggage often takes away depth of actual packing space. I usually leave my pockets for my personal item. :)
I was speaking of the zipper pouches on inside of the luggage. Like how Beis, target and aero luggage has
The expandable ones do. I have the two different sized expandable carryons, and both have the two pockets on the zipper side.
@@jessicavanburen666yes I purchased the expandable one and it’s a great bag!!

If you were going to buy only 1 forever carry-on, would you purchase the Quince? Or the Monos?
I think Monos is a little better with durability, and has more hardcore compression, but the price difference is huge, so it all depends on what you are willing to spend. Quince is still an extremely amazing bag, especially compared to Away.
