What’s your favorite feature about this bag? Let’s talk about it! 20" Expandable hard shell carry on: quince.sjv.io/q49Vjg Packing Cubes: quince.sjv.io/5gEKN1
I've been wondering about the Quince suitcases and didn't know you reviewed them already. The price on their bags is amazing, considering they're polycarbonate plus they have YKK and Hinomoto features. Thanks for another excellent video.
Thank you for reviewing this bag! I actually just bought the exact one (green too!) last week for an upcoming trip to Europe. The expandable feature (and the price without sacrificing quality) really sold me because now I can splurge and buy a few things in Belgium, France and Netherlands (probably lots of chocolate!) without worrying it won't fit in my bag. Also, its lighter than many other bags I researched so that will be helpful as I'll be traveling by train from town to town. I loved seeing how much it fit for you, and I can't wait to pack it with my new packing cubes :). Your review just upped my anticipation and excitement by double! Yay!!!!!!!!!
I just received this bag a couple of days ago! We are taking a Greek Islands cruise in May that included airfare. Unfortunately, the cruise line booked us on Air France and none of our carry on suitcases met their size requirements. Having watched your previous Quince review I decided to order from them and was delighted to see the expandable version since I have been known to bring home a purchase or two (or ten). I love that Quince is so affordable since I will probably continue to use my larger carryon for domestic travel and would hate to purchase an expensive bag (times 2 since my husband needs one as well) for just this trip. (We travel internationally but generally on American which allows us to use the same bags we use when we fly in the States.) I also love Quince’s 365 day return policy which allowed me to order with confidence knowing that if I found a better bag between now and our trip, I could return this one. I don’t think I will for the price and the features but you never know because the industry is always coming out with new or improved bags. Thanks for another great review! It made me feel even better about my purchase.
Haven't heard any reviews mention one of the best uses I've found for expandable luggage. You pack it completely full and zip it closed when expanded. No risk of ripping the zipper. Then you and your family members sit on it and zip it to the un-expanded size! I do it all the time. Works like a charm!
I freaked out when I saw this thumbnail. I am ordering this now! In all my travels I’ve learned an expandable carry on is the best. Some trips, I move hotels/cities and hate having to squeeze everything in just to unpack at the new place. This suitcase will let me dump everything mid-trip in with it expanded and then I can cram everything in and go through that Tetris when it’s not expanded for when I fly back home.
Based on your reviews I recently bought a Quince 20” expandable. I traveled for a week on American. Except for gate check on a tiny regional jet it fit both when used normally and when expanded. I had plenty of room for a weeks worth of clothes. The only criticism is that the outside hard case is a bit flimsy. The bottom bulged out some when fully packed. The only thing I missed is (compared to Away) is a handle on the bottom to grab when getting it down from the overhead. Wheels and zippers are great. I prefer that the tsa locks are on the top and easier to get to. Good compression. Love your channel!
Thank you! That type of polycarbonate is thinner than the others it seems, compared to monos or July, but feels exactly the same as my Away one, although 2.5 pounds lighter!
Sometimes you need a 3rd arm and hand to control those wild open cases. Nice case with good options at an affordable price. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
@@ItsTheKellys Did you say the 21inch is too big for international travel in your non-expandable review? your reviews are so helpful. I am just confused about the conflict in size compared to the airlines listed max dimensions for carry-ons-which list 22inch max, even though the 21 inch measures over 22 nches.
I love this! Just started following you and I’ve watched so many of your videos already. made me realize I could downsize so much of my trips now 😂 going on a weekend trip soon and I want the underseat pro backpack but it’s sold out 😭

Hi! Thanks for doing this review! Just curious, with them coming in at around 6.6lbs each would you choose the quince expandable or the july essentials carry on for international travel?
Either one. The July isn’t expandable though, so it depends on if you plan on shopping :) I did just bring this one and it did well! Not a scratch on it, and I checked it on the way home to test it out
I'm taking a month long trip through Italy. I really like the 20" Quince expandable, I'm just concerned with how the spinner wheels will hold up on the Italian "roads". Do you think a 2 wheeled carryon (like Travel Pro) would fare better?
On tough roads you will want to pull it as you would with 2 wheels, but I would personally never use luggage with only 2 wheels. With a spinner you have the option, and I like it at my side in a busy terminal. I traveled with my quince for the past 2 weeks and it was great!
Will the 21” expandable fit into the overhead bin wheels out or would it only fit horizontal taking up multiple suitcases of space? Will US airlines require a gate check for this size ? These questions assume suitcase is not expanded.
Hi! Thanks for this review. I'm interested in the 20" expandable, but I'm worried about the size. Quince has the non-expanded depth listed as 9.8" and the width as 14.4", which is too big for international flights. Your measurements of 9" and 14" are obviously better -- I'm looking at United and their limit is 22 x 14 x 9. Did you notice this discrepancy? I wonder why they have larger dims listed.
None of them are gray. Are you talking about maybe the champagne gold colored one? It’s the Monos Hybrid Carry on and it’s my favorite! ruclips.net/video/BdiWG6Wgxr0/видео.htmlsi=vG6uFGqtTZvlbAql
Just found It's The Kellys and saw your review of the Quince Expandable 20" hard side luggage. Great detailed reviews! Too bad. If I had seen this review earlier, I wouldn't have ordered the Samsonite Freeform 21". Going to California and thought I needed the 21", but at full measurement, it may be too big for a carry on. If you have already reviewed this Samsonite, would you return it and get the expandable Quince? They're close in price but I like the compression and layout of Quince. Have you traveled with it? Great to know you're in Michigan! We're close to A2.
To be honest, I’m not a Samsonite fan at all, especially because of their X strap. But that’s just me! Usually when a luggage has a number of inches in the same, it’s the size of the bag itself, not the wheels and the handles. So if yours is measuring over 22, id consider a smaller one :)
@@ItsTheKellysThanks so much for your thoughts! The x-strap on the Samsonite does feel flimsy. You showing that the 20-inch doesn't sacrifice much space from the 21-inch is a game changer. Of course, it helps to know how to pack and how to use packing cubes. Thanks again! Glad I found your site. Will report on the 20-inch Quince after our California trip.
Currently debating between the July carry on essential and Quince 20” expandable. I would like a carry on that I can pretty much take it anywhere. It’s hard because there are features I like on both. I like the outer shell, the aesthetic, and the warranty of the July carry on essential. On the Quince, I like that it’s lighter, smaller and can fit more than the July. Any thoughts? You can’t go wrong with either one, but for the price, Quince is incredible.
@@ItsTheKellys Thank you for responding! One thing I am concern about with July is the weight. It weighs about a pound more and also wider than the Quince.
