I love hard sided luggage but hate that most open like a book so you have to put it on the floor as it's hard to open on a luggage rack. Years ago, I got the Samsonite 80/20 hardsided luggage and absolutely love love love it. Sadly they don't make it anymore so I hope mine lasts a long time. Other brands make 80/20 but I haven't tried them. It's so so much easier to use. I wish away for the knock off would make an 80/20 for when mine wears out.

True, but also (I’m prob too paranoid) I’d want it to be meh so someone trying to steal stuff won’t touch a boring suitcase. I didn’t get beige either tho lol

Just in time planning a trip to Europe and will have a flight from Barcelona to Florence and the dimensions of the carry on is ridiculous. I will check into these brands. Thanks.
Hi, the Away bigger carry on is sold out except the green however, they still have the bigger carry on flex. I like the fact that the flex you can increase the size however, my concern is the 11 inch flex width would be too big to carry on. I don't need it to flex neccessary but it would be nice to have the option. Thoughts? Also, do you have a personal item bag that you love?
Hi! I see there are now 3 colors available in the Away bigger carry on. I have the Flex also, and you are correct in that if you expand it, it will not fit in the overhead compartment and you will need to check it. Also, I use The Everywhere Bag. I adore it! It fits perfectly riding on top of my bigger carry on throughout the airport and it fits perfectly under the seat in front of me on the plane. I have it in black.
Hi, I'm curious to know if you have had any problems with using the larger carry on as a carry on for Delta? I see the dimensions are a tad larger then their requirements? Thank you, great review!
It should be fine with Delta. They never check the exact luggage measurements. As long it a carry on. I fly with Delta every month. Actually I just got off a Delta as I’m typing
Are both casings equally sturdy/thick? I’ve never used a hard shelled suitcase, but recently ordered the quince. I was surprised it had some flex to it. I expected it to be very rigid
If the quality of the luggage is anything like the quality of their clothes, you have nothing to worry about. Their clothing is well made with quality fabrics. I will be getting the 21 inch carry one from them.
As a Soldier who has flown all over the world and knows how to get on/off plane, I wish to God airlines would ONLY allow backpacks, people cannot seem to get their baggage stored or retrieved efficiently, and every flight runs out of room so many have to check their bags anyway because EVERYONE has a dang suitcase to store overhead which causes more delays, I have missed several connections because somehow people just cannot efficiently get off the plane with all their luggage:(

I flew international ( France) with my USA size carry-on which is slightly higher, And no one chucked the carry-on sizes
