That looks great. I do woodworking and using different finishes is still kind of difficult for me, this was pretty well explained and I might get by even when finding similar products in my country might be a challenge. One thing about fixing that wobbly leg - it might come to bite you later, using screws or nails for this kind of repair usually wont hold up longs term because the desing relied on traditional joinery and since that original joint is compromised, the nail will fail relatively quickly. My guess is that leg was attached either by a dovel or a tennoned into the frame, then glued. If it wobbled this much, you might be able to wiggle that leg out, clean all the contact surfaces, put in a new dovel and reglue the leg back, that will give another few decades of life.

Thank you so much for this video. I have the exact piece like this one that I just picked up couple days ago at a thrift store. I’m thinking about turning it into a powder room vanity.

Thank you for watching! I just recently turned two pieces of antique furniture into bathroom vanities. I did a full video on how we achieve this. You should go check it out. It’s a more recent video.

Just an FYI, for anyone that paints furniture, its advised by professional furniture Repair websites, that you shoukd always spray 2 coats of shellac on bare wood. That way if someone wants to strip it, the paint is not inbedded in the wood grain. It makes it much easier to strip. And you wont need dental picks to try & get the paint out of the wood grain.

Good advice. I hope no one needs to strip the pieces I'm painting. Most notably the wood underneath isn't in the best condition. That's why I'm painting it.

Hi from Massachusetts! I love what you did with this table. Please clarify fir me: was the top coat in gloss or satin? Thanks

Do you use wood conditioner on ALL wood types, or just the ones that tend to be more porous?
