Insightful review, I wonder what your real world tests will show.
Interesting that they include the readout sheet with the starter as well.

It will be very interesting to see how the longevity will be compared to the other gear reduction starter

Ltd is a British way of telling you that they are a LIMITED COMPANY and therefore registered with companies house in London , that also means that you are tax and vat registered as a UK COMPANY.

I wouldnt be so quick to put the old starter in the trash can, because I bet my left nut that new chinese starter is not rebuidable... You can rebuild a Lucas until the end of time if need be. I'm no purist by any means.😉

Thanks for the comment don’t worry I throw nothing away.is The Chinese starter an item that can be rebuilt I do not know that would be a question for someone that is in the business of rebuilding starters and alternators and generators this is a cheaper option compared to some of the others on the market I have no idea what the longevity will be but I guess we will find out but then again I would not use Lucas electrics the prince of darkness as a benchmark of reliability

@@octagongarage3504 If it is rebuildable and that's a big IF, I bet it would still be cheaper to chuck it and buy new again. The few guys left doing this stuff these days won't work for 9cents an hr and no bathroom breaks. I never thought I'd see things get this screwed up. :-( I'm kind of a fan of dim, flicker and off. Or smoke, smolder and burn if you prefer! ;-)
