We were driving thru a small town in Arkansas a few days ago and there was a sign that said "Delight Arkansas, Home of Glen Campbell". Remembering that he was buried there we found our way to his gravesite at his family cemetery. When you walk up to his grave there is a motion sensor that activates a speaker on a big tree that plays this exact version of this song. It is a beautiful experience. I recommend anybody in the area to go by and visit.
Thank you for this info.Glen was said to have a perfect pitch in his natural voice. He was from humble truly blessed with good parents and family. RIP Glen.
My mother died in 1990,a simple woman LAID TO REST!!! She would sing this hymn to me as a kid. When the chore came to Have a hymn song when the family walked in,I could think of 1 hymn Amazing grace!! Im balling as I listen to this by Glenn. Mom I know u love jesus U are singin this song in heaven for me daily!!!
Every time I hear this played on bagpipes it takes me back to my Brothers funeral! I saddens me and also lifts me up at the same time! God Rest Your Soul, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper, Sgt. Nicholas G. Sottile. Murdered in The Line Of Duty 01/12/07... Our Broken Hearts Will Never Heal.....
@@easyenetwork2023obviously a Merle Haggard fan and the man was a talented musical artist, no doubt. But, people like Glen Campbell and, for that matter McCartney, as another person mentioned, are on a completely different level.
I visited his grave recently and this song was playing through a speaker up in a tree close to his grave. It was awesome. I want this played at my funeral.
I listened to some of his music but I never realized how talented Glen Campbell was. It’s amazing how his music, his voice can touched one’s soul. Speaking for myself.
I was about 11 years old when I saw him on the Tommy Smothers Brothers show and then he had his own show and I thought someday I could play guitar like him. But I was wrong. I'm 66 now I can only do a few things that he did
What an amazingly graceful man he was. To be that talented, and yet unassuming and modest, that's a very rare combination. And, as a bagpipe player myself, I can tell you that's no easy thing he's doing up there and he pulls it off beautifully. Kind of got in my soul kitchen as "Amazing Grace" was the first tune I learned to play on the pipes.... oh, so many years ago...
Glen is awesome,so multi talented! But when he played the bagpipes & sang "Amazing Grace", he touched my Scottish heart the most!!!! As many would say,"He blew my mind away".
I thank my Mom and Dad for introducing me to his talent right from birth. May the Heavens hear the talents of this Man forever. God Bless You Glen Campbell.
R.I.P. Glen. Your talents will remain for all of us still dwelling here on this life of flesh, but you are now singing your praises to the Lord up in heaven with all the saints!
This is soo emotional. Coming from a Caribbean family. The older generation loves country and western and homes. He hits it always. Love him. Rest in peace Sir
Glen was a master at whatever he turned to.. I've never in my life heard anyone play the pipes like he could.. Just GLORIOUS.. What a man he was, never will be anyone to compare to him. Mind you, with a name like CAMPBELL.. Good Scottish blood in there. Rest Easy Dear Glen. xxx
Terrific! I'm Scottish, and I have NEVER seena singer accompanying himself on the bagpipes! I wouldn't have grudged him an assistant to keep the bag full!
My mother was from Scotland. She used to.tell stories of her dad who never missed a day of work and would go out drinking after work on Friday nights and Come home to their apt in the bronx) drunk and serenade the neighbors in the middle of the night with his bagpipes. Not sure if he could play well sober. Lol. But Glen could play music by ear and sing well. I admit I have never seen anyone play and sing the same song at same time. Impressive. But that was Glen. And his music beginnings was as a sessions man in recording g studio. Check out utube on it.
I was so mesmerized with those bagpipes....he made them talk to the inner core of my heart and soul....so absolutely beautiful 🎼📯🎤🎶Amazing Grace never sounded so good...ty🎶
This song Along with the breath that the Lord grants me to my lungs Has got me through a number of bad situations, Am still alive and in one piece Thanks to the Grace of God. There are disabled and ill folk all over the world and people in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine, Arab world, China, North Korea. They are getting hammered by their enemies or by their own government and people, So my life is a holiday. Thank you Mother, And that 'God' character too. 🇬🇧✝️
WOW ! WOW ! WOW ! One of the Best I've heard AMAZING Grace sang .. So Very Beautiful .. Love my Bagpipes .. AMAZING Grace .. How sweet the sound .. Heaven is going to be Amazing !!!!!
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, who called me here below, Will be forever mine. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.
Really sad, he left us. As a brazilian i follow his career since i heard him for first time in Year 1970. God bless him, where he should be. At this times war difficul to got his records in Brazil , so i beg each one , who travelled to USA to bring me his records.
Certainly one of if the most talented musicians in all of history! So accomplished with voice and numerous instruments. I miss him, but God Bless what is recorded of what he has done. Thank you God for Glen Campbell

May God bless him with peace in his journey through the land of darkness, and his load be gentle as he departs to eternal Life.

johnathan smith ..God gave him a wondrous gift and he shared it with us.
the song is great but the singer and playing of the pipes intensifies the dramatic effect Glen was a master of his craft..
He's in heaven now, with a perfect; healthy body & that perfect voice! And my mom is singing with him!
