I hope you enjoy the video - if so, would be great if you could give it a thumbs up as it does help the channel. And comment below if you use Maize Plus and have tried WCS before as a replacement to harvesting. This video was prompted by a local farmer recently forage harvesting his Wheat about 10 days before it was fully ripe, which got me thinking about the reason they did that and if it was for improved income! We have a local Biogen Plant nearby, which is where they will take the WCS once fermented. Thanks for watching. 👍
2 small grass fields, 1 small bunker about half way makes me 52,000$ on normal and it was 345$ at the time of selling. Very good cash earner. Seeded once and still making good money after few harvest
I have a feeling the machinery used will also make a difference in yield. Whether it is the (forage) harvester or the header I do not know. But just like the modded animal pens produce different amounts of product (wool, eggs, milk, etc.), I believe yield also depends on the equipment you use. Anyways, a very important factor is the repair state, yield can be 30% lower with unrepaired gear. Nice change to put some comparison videos on your channel 😉
Hi BF, hope you're keeping well and good to hear from you. Interesting observation and I had not really thought of that in terms of different equipment, i.e. standard in-game vs modded. I agree that unrepaired equipment would not yield as well as it is not performing at it's full capability, but never tested an in-game vs a modded harvester (as an example) to see if they would yield differently. Animal pens, I can see how they might differ, but had not thought that much about machinery differing in terms of performance and yield. Perhaps another test is afoot!! Thanks as always for your feedback. 👍
@@FarmSimGamer E.g. the use of seed in a seeder, or manure in a manure spreader, differs from one mod to the other, so I would not know why the modders can not change the yield of harvesters or headers. It is something I have just been wondering though, never tested it myself either… BTW: all is fine. I have still some catching up to do on your let’s plays, but I will 😊
@@BrightFarmer I guess modders can state whatever they want in their coding so you could be right. I can understand them being able to amend what is used/distributed by a mod (such as a seeder), as they have control over that in terms of application rate etc, but I would have thought the yield of what is grown in the field (and therefore input into a machine) is dictated by the field itself, not by the machine harvesting the drop - but would perhaps be good to test that. I have not done that many videos recently. Got busy with work (first time in a long time!!) and have been working on a local farm during harvest as well. We should be cutting Winter Wheat tomorrow after a week long spell of wet weather. I'm hoping I can do a short video of the work I'm doing!! I'm mainly doing grain cart in a JD 6215R with a 14-tonne Richard Western Trailer on the back - similar to the orange one used in Wyther Farms 👍😃
@@BrightFarmer Hi BF - how are you? No, not given up just got very busy with work and not had much time. Pleased to be busy, but a bit of a shame I've not had much time for doing the videos! I have one in the making which I hope will be finished this weekend, but a bit of a slow process.

I only do silage. Got 12 cows now but silage is a great money maker. Good start up way to get cash.

Not done WCS before, but might give it a go after seeing this. Nice video again, well done👍
Certainly worth a go and nice to do something a bit different.
Great test. Good to see and if Biogas is not too expensive this is a good money earner
You got that right!
Interesting. Nicely done - great video👍
Thanks. Think I'll be doing more of this in the future!!
Very informative. Thank you!
Thank you. Glad it was helpful!
Good video and test. Even if the BGA is more expensive this looks worth doing.
Agreed!
Nice video
Thanks buddy 👍
