Gorgeous ‘59 Fury! All the right colors and options. She’s definitely a machine I would be proud to own.
Me too. Thanks for watching.
Gorgeous Fury. The interior is like a party 🎉
haha nicely put.
That interior is incredible. We are so much more conservative in our tastes nowadays. We've lost our sense of whimsy and fun. It's a shame.
@@somersetdc Today we follow the leader. Back then everyone wanted to be the leader. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. My uncle was a used car salesman at a Chrysler Plymouth dealership and one of these was his company car. Sure wish I had it today.
Lucky guy. Thanks for watching.
The reverse-slant fins are so cool. Caddy had them in '57.
Yep. Thanks for watching.
I have also looked at that Plymouth symbol Jet numerous times and never noticed the little Mayflower ship before😂
👍Thanks for watching.
AWESOME!!!!!
Thanks for watching.
Love it. My Dad bought one new when i was a little kid. It was a 4 door but had a lot of options including a crazy nice interior and the trunk toilet seat !!! To me at the time it was the coolest car ever made . The 4 door hardtops were nice looking cars !!
👍Thanks for watching Kip.
Very nice Cruse
Thanks for watching.
As an Air Force Lt, this was my first real car, bought new and driven 40K miles over 8 years. I still dream of it today. My name was engraved on that gold plate!
As for thisrestoration, my top was white as were all the others I ever saw back in the day. I don't believe those outside mirrors are authentic for that time and have doubts about the self dimming mirror on the dash. The AM radio antenna was a single one on the right front fender. The original color was somewhat unique and called "flame red" as opposed to what looks more like "fire engine red" in the clip.
The ignition was 6 volt w/generator and the cooling system was unpressurized and 4 wheel drum brakes. Also, the Torqueflite transmission didn't have a Park position until later years but the (unmentioned) torsion bar suspension was a dream to handle.
Thanks for the memories.
Cool. Thanks for watching.
My Grandmother's 1959 Sport Fury Hardtop in Bronze with a White Top, Power Windows/Seat, autronic Eye (hi-beam dimmer), air conditioning and it has the same rearview mirrors and Mirror-o-matic self-dimming mirror. The reason I know this is after she passed away my Dad inherited the car which was garaged at my parent's home until he passed two years ago. My brother sold it for $60,000.00, original miles, 27,000, and in original condition.

My dad owned a 58 Belvedere Plymouth convertible one of the first cars of his drove on the street was a couple years before I got my drivers license😂 i’m not sure how many Chrysler products offered the record player in their car but my father had a friend with a 59 custom Royal Lancer Dodge and it had one and I heard it was offered in some DeSoto
Thanks for watching James.
Nice! Very nice Plymouth! Curious minds would like to know where parts for this model are acquired?
You gotta know a guy who knows a guy I guess.
There aren’t any New Old Stock parts for these 50’s mopars, like there are for very common GM cars. People have saved up parts for a lifetime to do their restorations.
You forgot too mention the motor. model. 318. or 383. mopar or440 , beautiful. car. and lots of chrome too polish Virgil Exner. did’ t cheap out. on that one when. it was. designed in. 1958 for the year of 1959 / enjoy many more years. and. miles with this. car . / Bill S. Canada
Thanks for watching Catherine.
Golden Commando was a 350ci polyspheric V8, 305 HP and 350lb ft. of torque, dual Carter AFB 4-barrel carburetors.
The ship is named Mayflower and its the one who took the first imigrants from england to usa, The journey started from Plymouth in England.

Nice quality videos, however you should be asking about the engines (cubic in, HP etc) and be doing your research first before going to film these exceptionally important and beautiful historic vehicles. Thanks
Some times they're done on the fly or when I come across them. I never know what I'll see that day or when I'll see it again but I do my best from memory. Thanks for watching Big_Red.
