you're wrong Jimmy never took a back seat to Towns at any point of the season, he did it but to Wiggins who to this day still leads the team in shots Attempts per game with 15.9, Thibodeau was wrongly relying on wiggins as first offensive option and we weren't going anywhere, Towns in fact was averaging only 12 shots attempts for most of the season and at some point was averaging 11, ultimately when Thibodeau started using Towns in the post he's taking more shots and now is averaging 13.8, Towns is the best shooter on the team and just a month or so a go is when Thibodeau is giving him more ofensive participation and still not enough, he needs to be #1 option for the team, he's efficiency is incredible.
P4P Best. Butler is the go to guy on that team since early. Number of shots dont mean wiggins the #1 option. Butler isnt a selfish player either.

Embiid is better than Towns, especially on defense. KAT is horrible in that department. A Center has to be somewhat good at defense or your team will get exposed

Don't you think that maybe this was the point? Thibs has raised the level of players before with conflicting usage. Think Butler v. Rose. I think it lit a fire in Wiggins right when he needed it as well as ensuring team success with the role of Jimmy Butler. His injury couldn't have come at a better time for Wiggins. If Wiggins can clean up his post work and be a bit more selfless a lineup without Jimmy can be even better offensively.
Defense is another conversation entirely.

He shouldn't worry about his post up or his numbers. He should focus on playing defense, rebounding and moving without the ball. Do things that help the team win.

Sparkplug 6th man, honestly the best role for him currently. Being on the second unit allows him to face weaker defenses and up his confidence on scoring. This also slides BellyPizza into the starting 3 spot to hit three pointers and make plays.

Some of these players have a massive ego that blinds them to common sense. What in earth makes him think hes anywhere near Butler rn? Dude has not progressed nearly as much as he should of by this point in his career, im not expecting some 28PPG shit but his D is still horrible he still doesnt grab nearly as many boards as he should be and his shooting is subpar. Hes a one dimensional player rn and if he wants to not be a third option then maybe he should try to get better than the 2 options in front of him before he talks lmao.
I seen this coming the day they signed Butler. If i was Minny i'd at least entertain the thought of trading Wiggins and filling out the rest of their team. Right now their bench isn't good and they have a lot of players that don't necessarily fit. They need more shooting on that team. Also, I don't like the fact that Towns only shoots about 13-14 times a game. He's too talented to be shooting that less and he's the guy who if Minny wants to become a legit contender is going to be on him.

Wiggins’ value is low atm, unless he suddenly shows efficiency and defense in the next twenty games the Wolves are going to get fleeced in whatever trade they manage to scrap for him. Remember he has a max contract that will tank the cap space of whatever team ends up with him. The only teams that will fit the cap space/hole at SF/enough touches criteria for him happens to be non-conteders like the Nets or the Bulls

I feel like this video title is click bait. I don't think the reason Wiggins is pissed with the Wolves was explained. The video did a breakdown on Wiggins game before and after Butler injury, and pointed that Wiggins may want to keep getting the touches is has been when Butler returns. However, the reason he is pissed with the Wolves in the present was not explained.

Coach has been doing this for a while now. Click baits. I can understand why, it gets him more views, but it's annoying because he doesn't provide the content people expect. At least it's very annoying for me.
The problem with the Wolves is Coach Thibs. He's the coach and the team president. You can't be both. As the coach you don't have any time to handle all the obligations of the president's job. Doc Rivers messed up the Clippers as the coach/teampresident. Thibs basically traded for half of his old Bulls roster which tells me he's close-minded and doesn't really put much thought into his front office- decisions. And now he's running (ruining) his starting 5 into the ground until they get injured. A great coach should focus on his job and not on all this front office stuff he clearly doesn't understand. The Wolves will never unleash their full potential until they fire him.

Wolves fan here I don’t think Wiggins will ask for a trade he’s a calm, reserved person. Honestly he just needs to work on his jumper over the summer and improve his defense and all three of them can average 20 a game

Neal Chauhan no one would offer for him, he's the most inefficient player from his position playing more than 25 minutes per game, he can't defend, can't hit 3's, cant hit free throws, doesn't have the character of a leader and will demand the treatment of a star player without being one, who would like to have such a bad and expensive player on his team? You're only listing Wiggin's negative qualities without acknowledging anything he does well.
He's not currently a good defender but he has both the athleticism and a 7'0" wingspan to potentially be a solid two way player.
He's not a horrible shooter and certainly not "can't hit threes", it's not like you can sag off him. He still spaces the floor and he can get better
He's an excellent cutter and finisher around the rim. On a team lead by thibbs and non-shooters, he's not going to have cutting/driving lanes. Those abilities can be valuble elsewhere

I know this is not a popular opinion but the wolves don’t use Wiggins effectively . He usually gets the ball when the shot clock is running down and they expect him to make a play constantly . We’ve seen what Wiggins can do the first time jimmy went down and it wasn’t a coincident . A lot of times they don’t run plays for him and just want him to stand in the corner . Alot of his shots are on plays that break down because they take too long to get into a set . I’m not saying Wiggins is better than butler by no means but they don’t effectively use all 3 of them at the same time . Wiggins is not a small forward he’s not big enough for them . He’s a 2 guard and that’s why his big games are when he plays at that position . Everybody was saying oladipo wasn’t very good and look at all the bandwagon fans he’s got now . All it takes is a different scenery for some players .

If this doesn't work out by midseason next season, they should trade him and Teague for a bunch of starter-worthy role players that don't need the ball and still help the team next season imo. Wiggins has had 2 seasons of being the first option, hell they even ran point Wiggins for awhile. He is improving but still leaves a lot to be desired in ball handling, bbiq, defense, and hustle. He settles for long 2s far too often for a guy with his athleticism because he can't get by his his defender with his handles, also Wolves spacing is atrocious. He can be mad all he wants Butler is a much better player

Thibs is always playing his starters way too many minutes in the regular season. Not only does it cause injuries but it wears his starters out by the time the playoffs come around. He should've already learned his lesson in Chicago.

Think the first and foremost problem is the approach of the coach himself, and the way how he overplays starter players to exhaustion (therefore overbenches the bench as well), I think
Tom is content with running his players into the ground. He broke D.Rose with all of those minutes and he is doing the same with another team.
While it might have aggravated things, it has more to do with landing mechanics. They're a crucial skill for slashers, especially elite ones that will drive and finish in traffic many times a game, Thibs or not. Westbrook and James are'nt just lucky to be healthy despite high usage, they're just exceptionnaly skilled at landing, hence their durability under duress (Any Means BBall did a few videos documenting this). So blame Rose and the Bull's coaching staff for not developing this skill enough
, but the "playing time" thing is not a sufficient explanation for this specific case (maybe more for Noah, Butler).

Why the Wolves are pissed at Wiggins: takes the most shots per game, yet 10th on the team in eFG%. Also takes the most 3s and is 2nd to last in 3pt%
Andrew Wiggins should not worry so much about being the 3rd option in the team offensively. He has great potential as a 1st pick superb defender back then and he should get back his rhythm. If he does, no wonder he can be the 1st option on defense even his scoring numbers drops. Just remember he came to the league as a great defender, not him what we are seeing now.
the problem with andrew has is his handle and shooting ability. as the result, the best solution is to let him doing tons of cuts and hand-off which let him attack basket as much as possible. However, setting screen for off-ball player is what t-wolves is lacking. Secondly, andrew plays way better when he plays as a shooting guard. The size advantage made him a decent defense player and provide him an advantage in offense.
other small things that wiggins needs to adjust is that he constant go to his right hand side, this made him very predictable. I remember the game vs GSW, team just force him go to his right hand side, and made him to shoot the long fadeaway shoots.
Wiggins doesn't care as long as he keeps collecting those checks. Isaiah Thomas is the really PISSED niggga.

Butler admited he will get on your nerves (wiggins specifically) he knows wiggins will be the future but for right now butler wants to show wiggins how to lead a team. I noticed when wiggins shot 4/4 in the lakers game in the first quater butler handed wiggins off the ball to let him shoot. Butler stopped what he was doing and let wiggins do him. Butler knows when wiggins is having his mamba moment and we'll just need to see next year how thing turn out. Because if timberwolves dont give wiggins with he wants he'll keep playing like this
With butler, they were competing for 3/4th seed. When he went down they slipped so far down that they almost didn't make playoffs. It's not just Wiggins, Thibbs gameplan and lack of end product from guards like Teague and KAT going missing in the playoffs also didn't help.
*At least Wiggins has an effective "GO-TO MOVE", unlike 80% of the league.*

If Wiggins was an elite spot up shooter instead of a Iso/post up player then I think Butler would fit in perfectly. Unfortunately that’s not the case
As a Minnesota native && obvious fan I'll say this. Wiggins needs to improve his all-around game. No one can question that he's a gifted scorer. I expect him to average somewhere between 25-30 points in his prime. But his rebounding && assists numbers are terrible for someone with his skill set && size. He also needs to show more effort on defense. Again with his size && athleticism he should at best be an average defender. I'm glad he's gotten a taste of being the man. Butler is 28. Wiggins just turned 23 a few weeks back. This is still his team if he wants it. He needs to assert himself && force the coaching staff to make him the go to option in any situation.
thefoxfan1 he's also a horrible scorer, he has average between 42 and 43 FG % for the most of the season he has had a few good games and now is still bad at 44% and he has never averaged more than 45% on a season and is a 44% career shooter.
The stats for Wiggins and the team look good so far but 7 games is way too small a sample size to draw conclusions about Wiggins can be the man on a winning team
Whenever I watch Wiggins it makes me think he's never played before. Chucks up horrible contested long 2-pointers, has no real basketball skills to go with his athleticism, and has no fire while he's on the floor. He's a waste of space. Wiggins is just a meh player. He's probably got more tools/talent than Jimmy Butler but Jimmy has a higher IQ and he's a much harder worker. He'll get his teammates involved, rebound, defend, set screens, move without the ball etc. Wiggins just becomes useless when the ball leaves his hands.

Wiggins should be traded, not for the Wolves' benefit but for his own. He'll probably be better off with a team with a dynamic offense. Of course Jimmy would play better under Thibs. Wiggins would fit more under the likes of Rick Carlisle.

The content is good, the titles are clickbaity. He's "PISSED" in ALL CAPS is a lot of hyperbole. Rather than something like, "Why Andrew Wiggins is the Third Option on the T'Wolves" or "How Wiggins could prove himself with Butler Injured". The exaggeration and caps reads like buzzfeed. "17 WAYS WIGGINS COULD BECOME THE GOAT!!!"

- None are above average passers/ facilitators
- None are good shooters (well maybe KAT for his position)
- 2 of them can't anticipate defensively
- Butler is their best penetrator, and he is not great at it for a #1 guy on a playoff team
This don't even include their terrible personnel signings: Dieng, Teague, Gibson, & Aldrich make a combined 55M. meanwhile the Raptors pay Ibaka, JV, and Miles 45M combined, and none of those guys are considered a bargain.
In other words, wiggins was the face until kat got drafted and his second scoring option role got stolen from him when they picked up jimmy butler. Can see him most likely being traded soon

I'm spurs fan and when I watch wolves play us a few days ago wiggins showed flair and did good stuff but felt very out of sorts with the team
Even when he made a score on us it felt like he was doing his own stuff
Thats the whole point of a super team stars have to scarfice minutes and stats for a better chance to win a NBA title with Butler as the primary ball handler Wolves were a 3rd seed, Wiggins should be grateful his team would probably be a 7 to 8th seed without Jimmy
Dude if Wiggins gets traded or leaves because of jimmy. I would be so fucking pissed. I love the Timberwolves and I understand that we haven’t been this good in 14 years but Thibodeau isn’t coaching and playing Wiggins and KAT like he should. Ed
Better player or more experienced player? Wiggins struggles are all around strength. curious to see if he made strides in his conditioning with lower body strength and just a bit of weight...not much so he won't have knee/ankle issues...
Wiggins is a very good player... he ain't a new Kobe like everyone been saying ... but he could be developed into a top 15 player ...he is still very young... I think he will be traded this off season.. maybe for two players to make the Wolves a bit deeper
