That rubber banding explanation is eye opening. I'll be sure to keep it in mind in future rapid blaster games, even in pvp.
And now I finally understand what the difference is between regular and pro. Never knew what it was before.

Yeah, I mean for me it completely changed the way I played it. I can’t take credit for it, a few very good comp players helped me understand the weapon in more depth.

Fish sticks also paint a lot, so taking them out really helps with your mobility and escape options

Yeah I really do think they have to go ASAP because more than one of them alive around the basket is just a death sentence…

Even as a seasoned player I didn't know about rubber banding so thanks for the guide!

My pleasure! I can’t take credit, some very skilled comp players gave me advice about this weapon!

I don't know if I've ever actually noticed that they do different amounts of damage, I thought the range was the only difference. That's...definitely really good to know. Though sometimes I don't even realize which of the two I have, especially during a random rotation or something.
Also, another way you can 1-cycle Steelheads with the Rapid I've seen is by rolling a bomb at their feet (fin?) and directing their weakpoint twice. The 30 damage indirect from the bomb will be able to reach their head and give you just enough. Obviously this uses way more ink but I think the timing is more forgiving. Not something that'll be good for every situation but it's helped me out (at least, I think it has, maybe I actually had the Pro every time and didn't actually need to do it lol).

Yeah I debated showing the bomb trick but I thought it fell into the ‘niche’ category so cut it. It does help!
And yeah the damage differences is odd because in PvP they’re both the same but in SR there’s a difference? I mean in the grand scheme of things it’s barely noticeable except for steelhead cycling. It’s a strange choice.

Thank you for making these kinds of videos. I’ve been sharing them with the people in a discord server and I feel like we’ve all been playing better !

Hey, I don’t know if you know me, but about 10 months ago, I think I played in a 333x battle with you on team courage on flounder heights. I was looking through RUclips and saw your channel and thought that your channel name sounded familiar and I went through my photos on my switch and I found your name. I think that this is really cool. I found this very funny and also we ended up winning 50.9% to 44.6%

That’s awesome! I do remember that game because it’s the only 333x battle I’ve ever had and I remember panicking LOL a win is a win !!!!

I appreciate the reference to cross-compatibility of weapon usage between PvE and PvP. Back when Cephalorock would post his Salmon Run tips in the Splatoon 3 hub, I found them to also help me improve my performance while playing Anarchy. Similar to your video on using the Gal.52, applying your tips universally not only helps me better contribute to the team effort in Salmon Run, but improves my general performance across all the games in the series.

Thank you so much for the comment and support! I'm so glad it helps. And yeah, SR can really help PvP and vice versa. SR is the main reason I picked up E-Liter and now it's my 2nd most used weapon in PvP.

I watch your videos for corresponding weapons/maps the night before a rotation starts so that I can give it my best shot. Thank you especially for showing how to think about and play freelance so that achieving high scores and higher EVPs in freelance seems achievable if I keep working on my skills. I’ve been playing the Grounds rotation all day in freelance and have had much more success than before thanks to your advice. I’m currently at EVP 160, which I realize isn’t hugely impressive but it’s a big deal for me, especially in freelance (and I have all day to keep playing tomorrow!). More than anything, I am having fun as I feel myself improving. Thanks for helping me to find this sweet spot in my mindset. ❤

Congrats - that's hugely impressive if it's a PB! We've all got to start somewhere, right? I'm glad to hear the videos have helped and that you can notice improvement. Really appreciate the kind words and support

Amazing guide as always, these make it so that when i get assigned a weapon i can play it based of knowledge from watching these as opposed to how i have seen people play in pvp

Thanks for making these videos, I like watching them to either learn something new or just be reminded of what I knew once. 😀
One question on the differences between Pro and regular. Are the range and fire rate changed in Salmon Run? In PvP the Pro shoots slightly slower, but has slightly more range. I thought I'd noticed the Pro being better for range (like getting off-side Stingers on Smokehouse, for example), but I haven't stopped to do any actual comparisons. Since the damage is the same between them in PvP but not in SR, I'm open to admitting I don't know what I'm talking about and just never noticed the differences in SR.

      @rachelskiiiiiii  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey!
I’m not entirely sure why they changed the damage values for each weapon but it just makes things more confusing.
I’m assuming since the Pro has a longer range in PvP, that it also has a longer range in SR too. The Pro does have a slightly slower fire rate (Pro: 35 vs Regular: 40) and slightly higher ink usage (Pro: 5 vs Regular 4.5).
To be completely truthful with you, I’ve never personally noticed the difference in range between them, just like I barely notice the ink usage and fire rate. So I’m gonna say yes the Pro probably has slightly more range like it does in PvP but all things considered, I don’t think it’s much and I think in SR it doesn’t make that much of a difference, unless you’re min/maxing the mode. Or at the very least, I don’t feel like it does.

Thank you for this guide! I just got the silver badge on the recent spawning grounds rotation (my previous best was evp 210 or so) and this helped so much since I was terrible with the rapid blaster before. Definitely wouldn't have gotten that high if it wasn't for this, thank you once more!

Hopefully! My highest on any stage right now is 860, but 999 feels so tantalizingly close. I'll get my gold eventually :)

I guess eventually came sooner than I thought! Got my first 999 with the golden Smokeyard rotation!!! Might as well say thanks again because damn, I've learned so much from this channel.

You tried the rapid blaster in PvP? Poor thing...
