as a dynamo one trick in pvp, playing it in sr makes it feels fresh also cheesing king salmons by steamrolling their toes is the funniest thing u can do in sr
Its tricky but man I love Dynamo. Dynamo is the pegging king. Lessers just do not exist on Dynamo rotations. And there's rumors of a new Grizzco roller coming which is hard to imagine being even more powerful than this.
@@cloudy_xDD Grizzco weapons are generally not designed like that. These are not just weapons that are enhanced, they have some special features of their own
@@bowser3017 I can dream I suppose 😭 Dynamo to be fair is already a good weapon in SR, though I’m not sure what could be improved besides how fast it is and the ink consumption. Maybe how much area ink covers after swinging?
Fantastic video. I would love to see some shorts covering these “weird and wonderful things you can do with the dynamo.” The salmon must die Glory to the Dynamo Glory to the Bear
There's a lot of things I learned about Dynamo from this. I didn't know ink recovery was faster after rolling compared to after flicking, I should keep that in mind. Great video as always. As a sort of tip regarding Steelheads, I've had it happen where I try to attack one but end missing due to the insane windup time of the vertical flick allowing the Steelhead to toss its bomb. Not sure if it's a common problem, but a solution I have is to start the attack of the vertical flick as soon as I see the Steelhead flick its own head to start charging the drool bomb. It's like the vulnerability window got shifted backwards, you need to start attacking earlier in order to land a hit. Stuff like this can also apply to Drizzlers, as well as apply to other weapons. Just something I wanted to share.
Yeah, timing with the vflick is super important, so the visual cue you mentioned here is a good one. When you've played enough SR w/ Dynamo, it becomes instinctual and you don't have to think about it as much.
That’s a good visual cue! Thanks for sharing. I think I’ve gotten so used to using the Dynamo that I have got it timed well without the need to see it like that but I do wonder if I’m now doing something like that but it’s just a muscle memory thing for me.
Also yeah I had a whole section about the times of attacks, like the differences in doing vertical and horizontal flicks and which are quicker and why you want to use the quickest ones etc but I ended up cutting it to trim down the fat a bit. Once you get used to the wind up time of the vertical flicks, you’ll feel a lot more comfortable with this weapon when targeting bosses.
@@rachelskiiiiiii Glad to have been a service! For what it's worth, the comments section will always be a great place for people to share additional tips and tricks that just can't be told in the video's runtime.
This was an incredibly useful video! Thank you! 6:05 As far as I know (may have been patched), spinning around Stingers with a roller is A way to take them out, but it is not THE way. There's a method that involves rolling directly into them and moving your camera up and down. It still works for me (even with stick controls, though it's slower) so I'd encourage everybody to look it up! I found this out with the video "New Super Cool Roller Trick │Tutorial│ Rollers vs Stingers - Salmon Run Splatoon 3" by Hazmy. Good luck, folks!
@@rachelskiiiiiiiI figured there was a reason it wasn't showcased. Speaking of consistency, 4:57 IS THAT CONSISTENT, THAT'S SO COOL, I'M NEVER THROWING A BOMB AT A MAWS AGAIN!!!
Thank you for the video. I think all the stuff you covered here is more important than the crazy nuanced things you can do with Dynamo. I use another strat for the Maws as I was never a fan of the rolling over maws. If you see a maws coming what I do is get about one maws ring in distance from where it's coming up, get some momentum, do a jumping horizontal fling into a roll (pressing ZR slightly before you jump). It uses a bit of spearing technique with the roller along with just bumping into it multiple times. If done right, you will take out a maws at the cost of one flick and roll vs a bomb (though the bomb is definitely easier). At worst you miss a cycle and can two-cycle the maws. I've seen a JP player do this and liked it more due to it being a bit safer.
This was excellent and while I knew many of this things I had no idea you could stand still and recover ink slowly! I am very curious about the additional things you know that were not mentioned in this video...maybe we can get a part 2?
Finding places to use glow flies roller tech as a Dynamo will make the weapon feel so much easier to use. High tide on gone fission hydroplant is a favorite as the narrow shores there meaning taking care of lessers is a matter of setting up wherever the spawns cycle too
On a similar note, it also reduces knock back on every roller when hit as the knockback appears to be function of your speed when hitting something that gives knockback so for some bosses and especially goldies it's a lifesaver
@@rachelskiiiiiii I don't know if this is true or my imagination, but when I use KW, I face a boss, see the yellow target on them, tap ZR, quickly face another boss, yellow target, tap ZR, face a third boss same thing. I feel like it is three shots but maybe with better mechanical skill and speed someone could direct all six beams individually. In any case, I seem to hit most of the bosses I want to.
Reading the comments make me think I am the only one who hates dynamo in salmon run. I will take any other weapon before dynamo. Mobility is king. Especially in Freelancer when you have to babysit and collect eggs while the other squids are throwing a party at the shore (they dont understand the objective). The tutorial might come in usefull for EVP 400+ though. Well done video
I agree with you that mobility can produce better results cause you’re not limited by much. I love the Dynamo but there are times where I’d rather have other weapons just because in Freelance you need that freedom.
Great guide! I don't have anything to add about the dynamo, but in general, what are the weapons you would say you have the most fun with in Salmon Run? I'm still kind of trash with them, but using charger piercing shots is very satisfying in a way few other weapons are.
Thanks! I have a penchant for slower powerful weapons (it’s also what I tend to use in PvP too lol). So for me I love the Dynamo, but I also love things like the Tenta Brella, Hydra, Tri-Stringer, E-Liter, Range Blaster. The 96 Gal is probably my top weapon just cause I feel like it does so much with very few negatives.
Thank You for this DYNAMIC Dynamo advice, British Salmon Lady
Ahahaha thanks homie, appreciate the support 🫡

I didn't know you could recover Ink while still holding the roller down. That's gonna be a game changer for me :D
It's crazy how much better dynamo is in sr then in ranked
I love dynamo in salmon run! I didn't know they patched out the Drizzler thing, I thought I was just bad XD dammit, that's so annoying! great video!
Yeah it’s annoying they patched it out 😭

Dynamo with a faster roll speed/swing speed and higher ink recovery?

I love the Dynamo roller in SR, I’m so lazy with taking care of the lessers so having something that oneshots them is such a relaxing time 😄
It makes it fun, too! Cleaning up the place.
