My favorite drummer is Haruna of Lovebites. Her foot work on the double bass drums and her stamina is mind boggling to me.

Here in Southern California, we are fortunate to have Yoyoka Soma and her family living in Los Angeles. Although much younger than the other sensational talents witnessed here, her future seems unlimited as she has the talent to move seamlessly from genre to genre while quickly absorbing their intricacies. I saw her perform a couple of weeks ago at a local festival. She has remarkable talent and I hope her star will continue to burn brighter as she grows into adulthood. 🌠

She is by far the most musical drummer today. Internet medias seem to confuse strokes per second with musical quality...

Many, many drummers of enormous quality, very difficult to choose a favorite, but I would choose Senri Kawaguchi.

Junna actually never played in Trident. When she played there, the band was called Girls Rock Band Kakumei (ガールズロックバンド革命). When she left, the name was changed to Trident. Now she plays in Hagane
Kanade played in Ear Candy Jazz Factory. Now she plays in Muses and KOIAI.
Yoyoka has released almost everything under the name: Kaneaiyoyoka (かねあいよよか). Besides Yoyoka, the band consisted of her parents and sometimes her younger brother.) Currently, Yoyoka lives in the USA (Los Angeles, CA) with her parents.

okkk, trying to play catch up here..I actually missed this video cuz I'm still not totally accustomed to your new logo, Venus!😁 So, anyway, when it comes to drummers and musicians overall, I usually have A FAVOURITE..and FAVOURITES...so, my favourite drummer is of course the one and only AKANE HIROSE!!! Band-Maidddddd!!! but, in this video, you featured 3 of my favourites also: 1. Senri Kawaguchi 2. Kanade Sato and 3. Yoyoka! I have a special love for Yoyoka cuz I actually started following her career since she was about 4 years old! She has literally grown (and still growing) into a first-class and world-class drummer/musician , (thanks to the internet) before my very eyes (Yoyoka also plays guitar by the way..), so yes , love these drummers and loved this video!!

All amazing. The depth of talent among young Japanese musicians is just insane. You should have picked Senri's performance of "Wupatki" to show her at her best. I'm increasingly fascinated with Sato-san--she is so musical in her playing, and so zen in her style.

I have seen Junna play for Fate Gear in Europe, but I also like Haruka, who I always think is underrated. And I also saw Kanade play in London, when she was 16, with the band now called Muses. I was so impressed by Kanade, she has to be my favourite in the video, with Junna a close 2nd.

I have seen most of these drummers and am amazed by all, but i am taken by Junna. Her overall flair and always present smile wins it for me.

Junna was my entry point to J-rock (thanks to a YT video). There may be (slightly) better drummers out there but NOBODY is such a delight to watch! I’m glad that she’s found a place with Hagane-and that Trident was lucky enough to find the great Nagisa.

Yoyoka is the only musician from Japan that at young age has been able to absorbe the essence of afroamerican music.
That makes her a genius with no limits. She is a part of the music while others try to perform
