HAL-CA had attended Yamaha Music School since childhood and learned to play the drums, but switched to guitar after seeing Loudness perform live. She sometimes wore her hair in an imitation of that guitarist. When the members of Asterism entered a Yamaha music contest, the judges brought them together because they lived close to each other. There they all hit it off that they all liked Ozzy Osbourne.
Sakura, Hal-ca and Narumi are three more excellent guitarists. Some more guitarists that I think are excellent: - Chiaki (Suichu Spica) - Chizuru Segawa (The Jazz Avengers) - Rie aka Suzaku (Muses) - Erika (Whiskey Dust) - Mayto (Mana Diagram) - Ayumi and Moe (Bridear) - Toki and Yoshi (Aldious) - Meguri (Paranoid Void) - Illumina (ArkRoyal) - Shoka Okubo - Sally (LipStick) - Mitsuru (Madaseka) - Yui (Cyntia) - Miki Igarashi (Show-Ya) - Mina (Fate Gear) - Ayari and Reoto (Paleneo) - Wata (Boris) - Mizuki (Toranoko Rammy) - Yoyoyoshie (Otoboke Beaver) - Tomo-zo (Gacharic Spin) And many more...
Hal-Ca is my number one, just a stunning talent. So excited for this weekend’s gig with Metalverse. Love all this great footage you feature in your videos.
Narumi also played with Aldious for a while, filling in for Toki due to her maternity leave. On RUclips you can see videos of her and Aldious, playing together at the NAMM show, Los Angeles 2020, Also, R!N was the singer at the time.😆 ruclips.net/video/rqJT_qdKj5E/видео.htmlsi=ihqIv05jH2SWbN6i
I was there, it was a fun show with good energy. The stage was in a corner of a hotel ballroom and there was a lot of other distractions but still a good show.
Narumi played for Aldious on the "Evoke" tour June - December 2019, and NAMM in January 2020. At the final "Evoke" stop, Dec. 20 in Tokyo, Toki (who Narumi was subbing for) joined them for a few songs. I was there.
All 3 of these guitarists are very very good. Hal-ca does shine the most in my opinion, just that pure metal shredding talent is just amazing to behold. Hoping that Hagane can level up big time with their new line-up.
@venusgaijin One can only wonder how Sakura managed to persuade Junna to join Hagane when she seemed dead set on ever joining another band full time since her departure from Girl's Rock Band Kakumei (now Trident).✌️❤️🤘
Now if you investigated and listened a little more about other guitarists who are great, you still have a world to know, I hope you don't get stuck with the same old ones since there are many RUclipsrs who talk about the same thing, this gives it a touch cool to your channel.👏👏👍👍
Why talk about other guitarists when you should only talk about the best? Let the others hone their skills, and eventually they can join the elite cohort. We are not talking about old guitarists (Jimmy Page, Blackmore, Brian May), we are talking about the young and bold, and most importantly, the ones who can play killer cool. A small observation, most of the young guitarists who are losers are such thanks to wrongly chosen reference points (listed above:Jimmy Page, Blackmore, Brian May). Miyako had Blackmore as his idol, and we all know what that led to. In contrast, Hal Ca was inspired by Nuno Bettencourt, Victor Smolski and Akira Takasaki (the latter is also Saki's inspiration) and for this reason she sits proudly alone on the top step of the guitar Olympus.
@7StringSweepGoddessAboveAll The killer is ready. He's young, short, but with a big heart, a talent that has no beginning, so there's no end. Sweet, likes to smile and is damn good at his craft.😎😎😎
@7StringSweepGoddessAboveAll You tell me. Personally, I'm not expecting anything. I'm observing, analyzing. And I say what I think, whether anyone likes it or not. I'm not looking for approval, I have my own truth.
Hal-Caaaa!!! ❤ but of course, such an abundance of talent featured here 😊 ...I suggest a slight shift to female bass guitarists I the next vid... ?? 🤔...there's one japanese female bassist i would love to see featured...I'm sure u know who 😁 - great stuff!! 💯
Asterism is affiliated with the Amuse talent agency. This means that the METALVERSE project will not be able to attract the attention of young guitarists all over Japan.
On the subject of Hal-Ca, her band Asterism released a new EP today, Planet of Metal, and it's amazing! Mostly instrumental, with some vibes of their masterpiece Guernica+a, but also some completely new sounds.
I guess your only including this type of genre. The truly best female Japanese guitarists aren't playing this. So maybe you should just say "metal" guitarists. Of course it's only my opinion as a guitarist.🎸
Hal-ca shouldn’t be singing. If Asterism truly wants a singer, they should just add a professional one to the band, and save Hal-ca for guitar only. After they do that, they can then add Saki as a second lead guitarist. To me, that is a good way to both improve on popularity (like by getting a really good female singer), while still keeping a focus on the technicality (Saki as 2nd lead, and as another songwriter). Saki would also help with popularity as well.
All due respect to Saki and her technical skills, but she will be too much of a contrast to Hal Ca's clean and accented game. Saki is a veteran in this game, and she was born to shine on her own, to be first fiddle under the spotlight. They could make an interesting collaboration, record a couple tracks together, but no more. Two tigers won't get along on the same mountain, and besides, Asterism's music is conceptually different from anything Saki is used to doing. But what they have in common is incredible passion and fire! Offstage they may seem quite phlegmatic (especially Saki), but on stage they turn into Furies. This is what the M&M duo lacks, they look like Easter Island statues for most of the intro. Also, in my opinion only, Hal Ca combines the role of lead guitarist and vocalist quite well, I think her voice is authentic to their material.
@@HarveyAnk Who said that? You must know Saki well and understand her mindset? A bunch of as you put it "snooty kids" can easily embarrass most celebrities. Yeah, they may not be popular, but since when is talent measured in terms of views, followers, and hypocritical reactors who lick anyone they get recommended? Talent is something you can't buy. Not everyone is born with it, but people who have a core, perseverance and long years of practice, achieve certain heights. Hal Ca has a gift from birth and she hasn't unleashed it yet. She has everything ahead of her, her best songs are yet to be written. That's when we'll see who will be taking a bow to whom. I'm writing this with absolutely no negativity, or you might think I've been hit with a wave of resentment.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's philosophical s*it, bro😂😂😂
@@Swamp_Duck_Song “Saki is a veteran in this game, and she was born to shine on her own” Nothing wrong with sharing the spotlight, as both of them would also have to do so with Asterism’s incredible bassist Miyu. That would include sharing the spotlight. “Hal Ca combines the role of lead guitarist and vocalist quite well” You really can’t complain about Lovebites fans, if you want to make ridiculous comments like this.
@@SomethingToDo360 You mean a dream band? There have been so many similar examples. There was constant squabbling within the team and an internal struggle for the title of top scorer of the season.
@@Swamp_Duck_Song Just because two members can be good (like Hal-ca and Miyu for example), doesn’t necessitate a need to fight each other. Let me ask you one question: do you think what I suggested here, could potentially make Asterism much more popular, while also retaining their technical-focus that many Japanese bands prefer to have? Because my post was looking at it from the business-side of things, while also thinking about how they could still be enjoyable for me to listen to.
I completely agree. Even Midori and Miyako would wipe her out. Unlike her, they have at least a weak level, Dany has no level at all. She can only compete with Shakira in the art of guitar playing.😂🤣😂
