Referring to them as Japanese female makes as much sense as referring to them as guitarists because they ARE Japanese female guitarists, and it's obvious this video is about them. What you're saying is equivalent to saying "Don't put the word 'frog' in the title!" when the video is literally about frogs.

I’ll bet these girls wish they could play ‘modern guitar’ like ‘ichika’(from japan). Tim Henson American.
Also everyone, and every guitarist on earth, all drop their jaws when they see ‘Marcin patrzalek’. Every guitarist wishes they could play like ‘Marcin patrzalek’
These guys are modern guitarist. Play anything on spot.
Only problem is elite guitarist fro 80s like Paul Gilbert struggle coping from these guys.

I wish I agreed with this! I find the two Lovebites guitarists to actually be a bit bland except in isolated cases. I would like to hear more interesting uses of harmonic tensions/resolutions, among other things. As it is, their playing has more of a “paint by numbers” feel to me, and I never feel emotionally engaged.
Sorry for my negative-sounding comments, that’s not my intention. I just wish I found this obviously popular band to appeal more to me, I guess.
The one who really surprised me is Yuki from D_Drive. I like her ideas and phrasing quite a lot.

The most impressing parts to me, about Midori & Miyako are:
a). that both started playing guitar relatively late, which is very unusual for pro rock/metal guitarists.
    and
b). that both are so ''in tune'' live, when they play all these ''twin guitar'' harmony parts, that takes lots of practice.

Japan has no shortage of amazing musicians of either gender in any genre. Their female musicians however are definitely the best in the world in sheer quantities of abundance of talent.
I was even able to discover, properly document, meet, and get to know on a personal level one humble genius female musician from Japan by the name of Riyoko Takagi, who's a jazz pianist, and amazing composer, improviser, and performer.
I was personally able to witness first-hand and document some of her true genius feats during her recent visit to New York:
Instantly and fluently playing audience requests by ear, even if she doesn't know the songs: ruclips.net/user/shortsgK8ob4yVm5E
Instantly and fluently improvising on random inputs (pattern & rhythm): ruclips.net/user/shortsp4BkcAs976A
Doesn't get any more genius than this. In the second clip, other musicians who are mind-blown at the end, already saw her entire show and I also tried to tell them that she's a genius. Yet it took a feat of her improvising on random inputs for them to truly understand her level of talent. Just shows incomprehensible levels there are to this craft.

All of them are highly skilled guitarists, and in terms of accuracy and clarity, Kanami might be at the bottom of the group.
However, Kanami is the only one who can make me cry or give me goosebumps.

at this level of talent, it's 100% a matter of personal preference, and appreciation of their attitude and personality. because, objectively, no one could declare that one of them is not a virtuoso of this instrument. It's just a matter of the heart. Mine goes to Kanami, because with every song she gives me goosebumps, which is a great indicator of whether an artist thrills us or not.

If I had to choose between all of the extremely talented female guitarists coming from Japan I would choose Kanami above the rest. She not only is technically proficient with her instrument she is imaginatively creative. As impressive as it is to see many of these ladies flexing up and down the fretboard in an incredible display of fretboard gymnastics, and it is no doubt impressive as hell but after all is said and done it is just gymnastics, scale exercises performed with precision at records speeds.
It is one thing to have the physical prowess to command your instrument and another to use that tool in distinct and creative ways. Technique is one thing but how that technique is applied and composed is another. I feel kanami has an extensive pallet of techniques to draw from in order to create a distinct sound of her own. Like a painter who has access to a wide array of colors to draw from she is not limited by anything which allows her the freedom to express herself and her art in interesting and imaginative ways all the others have not.
Kanami may not be the flashiest or the most technical but she is the most imaginative and creative. Im sure if she wanted to she could but it does not serve the purpose of what music is in the first place. It is supposed to express and communicate something that words or pictures cannot. Music is to be experienced and felt at a direct and meaningful way and Kanami with her writing and playing is in tune with that form of expression.
If anything many of us would like to see her extended her guitar soloing. She ultimately leaves you wanting more because of how good of a taste she provides. She ultimately serves what is needed to create what best serves the song and not serving herself and her ego. She is an unselfish creative artist that sees the importance of the composition over shininess of the composition. She definitely needs to be considered in the conversation of the all-time greats male or female.

I'm surprised you decided to make such an ignorant comment that guitarists like Miyako and Midori, Saki and Hazuki, Lisa-X are just doing fretboard gymnastics and scales. Kanami and Band Maid play an entirely different genre of rock music. Band Maid a more traditional rock while Nemophila and Lovebites are Metal. Kanami is good, an excellent guitarist who fits into Band Maids style. Is she on Miyako or Midori's level when it comes to shredding? Not even close. Kanami has to work for it. Can Kanami come in and shred along with Midori or Saki in a guitar dual? She was not that great soloing against Misa in Hate. On the other hand could Miyako come in and play for Kanami in Band Maid? With ease. Here is Saki as a soloist playing melodically and with texture and shredding like a boss, tempo and key changes throughout the song. Empress: ruclips.net/video/t9mwlHKkLE0/видео.htmlsi=RbkXFH9vOhtLlIoT . Could Kanami put out a solo like this? That's a no.

Kanami may not be the best or most technical guitarist (how do you define best anyway), but she is (in my mind) the most impressive musician given her chops and most importantly, her song-writing skills. In the melodic hard rock world - she sits alone at the top of the heap.

Immense talents, each and every one , but if I had to pick one it would be Kanami because BAND-MAID was the first Japanese all female band I ever heard; and her writing, composing and playing skills are absolutely breathtaking 🙏🕊&❤

Not to nitpick, but Lovebites wasn't announced until May 24, 2016 (at that point it was only Miho Rosana and Haruna Ishikawa) and they did not, yet, have a name.
Miyako (as support) and Midori joined in early summer. They picked Asami from auditions in the summer, and performed a "secret" show on August 4, 2016 as the "POWERSLAVES".
They didn't debut as "Lovebites" until they had their first concert on November 18, 2016, at Tsutaya O-West as part of the Girls Band Next Generation event. For the show, they were supported by third guitarist Sena.

@@grapevine0719 You misunderstand her comment. She was already a live support member. And while this may have affected her decision to become a permanent member, she was a support member well before Asami was auditioned, and took part in the decision as a full member, per Miho Rosana

    Toki - Aldious
    Ayumi & Moe - Bridear
    Mina - Fate Gear
    Otsuka Sae - Rondo

Toki. Don’t be forgetting Toki. Being a guitarist in a band isn’t only about being the best or the fastest, it’s also about chunpa!
You need another category of guitarist / vocalist too - Asaka and Matsuri are two to start and maybe Mayu will be in that company one day…

The Japanese never got the memo that guitar solos were out of fashion (grunge and later metalcore made that decision for their fans) with very few exceptions - Slash and Dream Theater mainly. The Japanese obsession with perfecting a skill shows in their musicianship.
