    Does Studio One have an Octaver effect, so that I can play bass notes from my guitar?

    Hello. I have Artist. I'm guessing it doesn't have the bass amps in Ampire. (I've certainly never stumbled across them).

    you guys should probably update this. This is why I haven't been recording my tracks through the computer. Just on my cheap little amp that sounds like trash.

    Hi Dave,
    I am hearing a dual mix in my headset where it is a blend between the Ampire & clean together. How can i remove the dry unprocessed signal from the audio when using Ampire as my VST?

    • @IguanoTwix6942
      @IguanoTwix6942 4 года назад

      Your interface might have a software that has the raw signal unmuted. make sure you mute that input

      You could High Pass the Track with an EQ

      You won't get everything out without killing the Kick (unless it's veeery clicky), but maybe it's better than full bass :)

      Try using the app Moises on your phone. It won't isolate the actual bass track used in the mix, but it does strip bass frequencies out of a recording. From there you can export the bass-less mix into your DAW, then record your own bassline into it. Keep in mind that because it's only pulling out low frequencies, any bass guitar note played above like a D3 will not get stripped out, so for example bass solos played way up on the neck will still be there. Also it doesn't work that well for slapping and popping because that technique has a lot of percussive tones in it, and the app won't pull out some of those frequencies either.

    When I play along with a song with the monitor button pressed for the track I get lots of Latency? I have it set at 256, not sure how to rectify this cause would like to use plugins on a track while recording. 😎

    • @nelsonrezek4690
      @nelsonrezek4690 3 года назад

      Try lowering the buffer to 128 instead of 256 You shouldn’t have any noticeable latency (it’s around 5ms of latency) with that setting.

    Not trying to troll, because I think you do an excellent job explaining things, but why are you not addressing the clipping that is occurring? And in a time of digital recording, why try to encourage recording at such high input gain levels?

    • @chrisrauser6896
      @chrisrauser6896 5 лет назад +3

      Totally agree, great video, but just always clicking away the red numbers occurring, which signify the clipping?!, without sayin anything about them, was weird. Unless I misunderstood something. And probably we are just saying here what a lot of people were thinking ;)

    • @brandonbarnes4058
      @brandonbarnes4058 5 лет назад

      @@chrisrauser6896 i think he was clearing out the clipping indicator because he knew the bass track was causing the clipping so he'd clear it, adjust the bass level down, & see if it still clipped. I agree it would've been helpful if he'd addressed this though.

    • @paul74432
      @paul74432 5 лет назад

      @@brandonbarnes4058 Thing is, it's no good trying to get rid of the clipping once you've recorded the track 'cos you've already recorded the clipping!

      @@paul74432 The bass di track isn't what's clipping. The master bus is. If you watch the level on the bass track while he's recording it, you'll see it doesn't clip at all.

    • @fret2fret221
      @fret2fret221 4 года назад +1

      His faders are just too high. He’s just recording raw tracks at the moment. When it comes to mixing he should be turning down the faders and then the clipping will go away.
