    The exact same thing has just happened to me. I put a new slave cylinder and my transmission kept acting up until one day it locked me out completely.
    Slave cylinder stuck in fork, made a hole. It also leaked everywhere. I haven’t opened the transmission yet, do you think the pivot bushing was the cause? How would over extension cause a hole?
    Do you think the slave cylinder was leaking after the over extension or before? Hopefully my release bearing/clutch is OK as I had under 2000miles with them

      Also, do you recommend a plastic pivot bushing then?

      Plastic for sure brass is no good watch my bmw playlist the worn pivot causes slave to over extend essentially blowing the seals out of it

      @@BurninGas8.1 what else do you recommend replacing? was your pressure plate fine? So far I have
      - Slave Cylinder
      - Plastic pivot Bearing / Clip
      also did you apply any grease anywhere

      @@FreshieAlbanian no grease and put a new throw out bearing in if fork is damaged replace it as well

    Brass bushing are not worth a crap. Just another worthless piece they are selling us uet they dont offer the end user any benefit. I'd never put this thing in my car.

      Well I woulda thought brass would outlive plastic but it sure didnt

    Never use brass pivot pin they are rubbish fast wear

      Yes but I think the bad release bearing caused it to wear much faster
