To people that have rashes from this mixture: What I have realized is its from the baking soda. I found an amount that works for me pretty well though WITHOUT a rash and this is it:
1 tbsp - half coconut oil, half shea butter (you can use only coconut oil if you want) - smells nice, moisturizes, and is anti microbial.
1/2 tbsp - arrowroot powder - this keeps you dry
1/4 tsp - baking soda - this deodorizes the smell

My experience has showed me it is usually better to use less baking soda, as I find it irritating on my skin. I usually go for a mix of shea butter and coconut oil. Shea butter makes it creamier and more spreadable. I then add arrowroot and a little bentonite clay, enough so the mixture solidifies. Baking soda is typically be half a teaspoon at the very end.

Yes. Additional its better to have tea trea oil. I personally have a small bottle of water (u know those empty plastic drinking bottle?) i fill it with water, add 3 to 4 drops of tea tree oil. And dissolve. Then after shower first i apply some lemon juice, leave it for few mins, rinse. Then apply this water we made little bit in both underarms. After it's dried, apply this deodorant and tadaaa.

I used only coconut oil and baking soda. It worked perfectly and better than the market bought deodorant.
The only issue is that if you sweat a lot outside then you may take an extra t-shirt or shirt so that you can change your t-shirt after sweating a lot because there is no deodorant on the t-shirt and after a while the t-shirt starts to smell like sweat because of the bacteria on the t-shirt.

Thanks for sharing. This video is great!
I wanna try this out. But can I use corn starch in place of arrowroot?
Adding bentonite sounds great ( I read one comment in respect of bentonite).

You can probably find the arrowroot online or in some asian stores. I haven't tried using a different ingredient in place of the arrowroot, but cornstarch may also work.

its amazing how simple this is to do. many many thanks for sharing. question...does the arrowroot leave white marks on t-shirts etc for example the same way anti-perspirants do? i dont like those type of deodorants so i just use body spray and would love to make my own the same way...
    thank you again!

Can someone tell me the exact grams that are in each spoon used for the ingredients, i have the english measuring spoons but i have one more then her. And i have made this before but i had too much baking soda. I also have a problem when i used it before my tshirt always had spots that were hard to get out, maybe because i used too much? I don't want grease spots on my tshirt anymore because of the natural deodorant, what can i do about this? I also wondered is it normal that there's still baking soda left under my armpits when the deodorant is tried up, it looks a bit like sugar the baking soda under my arms

This recipe makes a small amount and if you use it everyday it will last for about 1 month. At room temperature or refrigerated it won't spoil for at least 1 to 2 years.

My family is from Egypt too! Do they have tapioca or manioc starch there? If not corn starch works as well.

In my South Asian experience, you can add Alum, vit E and Beewax.
    Some fragrance,
Alum also reduce the hair growth.

I love this. Can't believe how great it works. But I am having a rash under my arms. Should I just not put the baking soda?

    • @Livinghealthywithchocolate
      @Livinghealthywithchocolate  4 года назад

Try adding less baking soda. For me I started with about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and now I add 1 teasp to my batch. Your body will adjust.
