    NOTES ON THIS VIDEO:
    1. Please spit in your bin as coconut oil can clog your drains.
    2. Baking soda is softer on the hardness scale than tooth enamel so will not damage your enamel. However, if you have cavities or enamel decay already the baking soda may be too abrasive as your protective layer of enamel is no longer present.
    3. The essential oils are completely optional so if you don't want to use them orally just skip that step.

I boiled fresh mint (I didn't have essential oils) and used the water. Tasted great!

WARNING: Proceed with CAUTION; the deodorant was fine at first (I loved the smell and protection) for the first couple of weeks; then I begin to notice dark circles under my arms before the skin irritation started (I have sensitive skin); something like a chemical burn, before my skin started to peel; I followed the directions (opted out of the peppermint essential oil to keep it simple) but her ratios may be off because the recipe was way too strong for my skin; I think it was the baking soda that was way too harsh since it is an abrasive; didn't like the toothpaste either, way too salty for regular use; only the mouthwash worked out; DISCLAIMER NEEDED for folks with sensitive skin; I appreciate the host effort and what she was trying to do is help people live clean but results will vary; would NOT recommend the deodorant P.S. I wish I could add photos so you can see what it did to my skin

I had tried using just baking soda... I got used to it, but a dental assistant told me to be careful because it could be too abrasive. this seems much gentler and much more creamy and pleasant! I just started using baking soda rinses for canker sores this year and it's amazing! Thanks for sharing these with us, I might be looking for a cool bottle in my kitchen for something today....

I just want to say that it is amazing there is no music, the background is clean, the girl doesn't wear make up (I guess), everything in this video is so simple, calm, clean... There isn't much of such a good minimalist content on RUclips. Thank you so much!

I tried both of these recipes and now have been using them for months! I keep them in cute little jars by my sink, and I use a tiny plastic spoon that I got from a little single-serving chicken salad box to scoop out the toothpaste. A little taster spoon from the ice cream shop would be great too! Works great, and leaves my mouth feeling minty and baking-soda fresh! Took a few days to get used to the baking soda taste but now I love it and associate it with clean!

Here’s my deodorant recipe to share, right consistency and effective. Equal parts of room temp coconut oil, (semi-solid) baking soda and corn starch. Makes a great paste and does not stain clothes, YAY! If sensitive to corn starch, you can use arrowroot powder. Add essential oils, a few drops. I like a few of peppermint, a few drops of lavender.
