Mike, after all these years, is still a humble man.
Real talk...Do you think Chester’s Death played a part in that? I ask because when OML came out. They did have this F THE FANS attitude. Now I’m not saying the fans were innocent during that time. But taking that into account, plus the band saying they hated Nu Metal, they were never returning to that style, and then Chester taking his own life. Do you think that humbled the band?
@@TheConcertCruizer Actually it was Chester that riled up the fans. Fans were assholes to him in all fairness. Mike was left to do damage control. Dude has always been humble.
@@gk8257 Well....Yes and No. Fans were being harsh and I am not against Artists Defending their work against detractors. However, you still have to be Diplomatic about it and not go around throwing death threats. As the artist. You have to be the bigger man. As far as fans go. You have to see why they are frustrated. They dropped their famous sound after 2 albums and didn't return. Then they gave us The Hunting Party. And while not the return to Nu Metal people wanted. It was still a FANTASTIC Hard Alternative Rock Album. It was something that they could at least Rock Out too. Fans were excited about the Future of Linkin Park again. Then they release one more light and it was such a deviation from their sound that it was more of a -180. And that's why I think fans were frustrated with LP. They changed their sound so many times and so fast that they said "Enough is Enough. We're Done". Their old school fans that got them to that level Felt Abandoned.
@@TheConcertCruizer Honestly, I find that fans like that are really just entitled assholes. They think the band owes them something when in reality, they dont. They dont owe anyone anything. They can do what they want. They never needed to go back to what sells, unless they wanted to sellout. Old fans are still pretty much around. Theres tons that has come foward during Mike's streams to let him know they stuck around.
Rose Gold Couldn’t have said it better myself, thank you.
Dude still looks like he just turned 27.

@@RaisedxFist Mike is a very humble person, he doesn't like to show off and he still holds on to Chester's death
When he opened up the book and saw Chester's pics... oh man, you can tell by the look in his eyes and the way his voice changes that he still misses Chester a lot.
I noticed the emotional change I mike too
Logic no you are right, he will never heal from the lost.
He is fighting tears...not surprised
I love Mike's face while unboxing, he looks like a curious little child at its birthday ;D
True he is always with his smile on face that makes him more childish and cute
Every time I see Mike, I just instinctively smile. He's one of those people that can just brighten up a whole room. Love you, Mike!
I get that he's trying to keep a happy face for the camera, but you can definitely see the pain in his eyes when he looks at the old photos of the band, especially the Chester ones. We miss him too, Mike, trust me.
Yeah, I saw that too. Love that guys, he's so damn strong.
4:58 For a moment he couldn't even speak. Man we all hurt and miss Chester so much but imagine how Mike does. 💔🙏♥
You know he was thinking about how he would have shared this with Chester
At 3:38 you can tell he gets choked up for a brief moment.

Mike still looks like he is in his 20s.
He does. Wonder if he knows about the fountain of youth
He's asian, they age slow.

All of the Linkin Park members are still relatively young. They're like in their late 30s or early 40s.
It's been 20 years? The clock ticks life away.
Its so unreal.....

The way Mike is saying Chester's name with so much tenderness, so much love, so much memories..... We love you Chester, we love you Linkin Park, thank you so much for all this and more
Mankind is not worthy of Michael Kenji Shinoda. He's just too pure of a human being. Thank you, Mike. For everything
He is a precious cinnamon roll, too good for this world
i think it’s the coolest thing how my mom was a fan when she was a teen (she’s still a fan) and i’m a fan too (i have been since i was a kid, i’m a teen now). it goes to show how a band can be loved by two different generations. rip chester
Where do you think you were conceived at? ;)
In my case, I was the fan and later, after listening to them 24/7 for years, my mom became a fan too. My dream was to take her to one of their concerts (I went to 2 in different countries far away from mine), so since they never came to Colombia and I couldn't take her with me to one of their concert, she's now never gonna see them live (at least with Chester)
Awesome!!! I'm a fan, I'm 35, of course I was a fan as a teen. My sister was born when i was 17 (of course I was a big LP fan already) I used to put her to sleep playing the Hybrid Theory cd, specially "in the end song". Now she is 18, she still loves LP, she was really sad just like me when we lost Chester 😔 and she sometimes goes to sleep listening to "in the end" 😂 LP is just so awesome it stays with you forever
For me it was the opposite! I discovered Linkin Park when I was 9, and now my mum loves them too.
My mum never told me she was really into them until Chester's passing, we spent a whole day reminiscing on stuff like the concert I had her pick me up from (which was during the second Minutes to Midnight European Tour) XD I think it was that concert where it really clicked for her, because she arrived well before the end and could hear the songs booming out of the Sheffield Arena. I guess she kinda kept quiet about her interest in order to let me have something that was purely mine, but tbh, I'd have loved to have had the chance to see a concert again...
I... I think I still have the tour t-shirt... but it's really worn down, I'm not sure it's wearable anymore >.>
It doesn't matter how many times you hear Linkin park's songs you will never stop getting goosebumps...😭
Definitely
IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER. I HAVE TO FALL, TO LOSE IT ALL
That's me, every damn time i listen to any LP song.
So true! Never ever get tired of any songs, no matter for long I've been listening to. It's never ever happening with other band,or musician. Coz Linkin park it's so unique and it's simply the best Family ❤ Love them, and miss so so much
I agree 100%!!!
I will never forget the first time I ever heard Papercut on the radio, so ling ago. Hybrid Theory and Meteora carried me through my formative years.

Mike's happy face just got emotional while unboxing this box as it contains the unforgettable memories of LINKIN PARK..
RIP Chester Bennington...☹️😔
You can tell Mike was getting emotional looking through the book. Can’t wait to have it in hand!
To All of Linkin Park:
Linkin Park was the soundtrack to my life during my military career. No matter how lonely I felt, no matter how destroyed I was inside, I had my Linkin Park cd's. I've struggled with deep depression because of military career, and on more than one occasion, I've tried to end my own life. Without fail, when I got home from the hospital, I'd hop in my car, turn up the subs, load all 6 CD slots with Linkin Park Albums, and I'd belt out every word and every note. It's a form a therapy for me that has saved me time and time again.
When I got the news that Chester was no longer with us, it hit me harder than I thought it would. I mean, it's just a band, right? It's just another celebrity, right? These things happen and while sad, is of no consequence to me..... Right? WRONG. Your music helped me become the stronger person I am today and because of that, a part of my history died.
When I read how he died, so many things became so clear to me about the music. I could understand the music even more. I listened to one of my CDs and I could not only hear the pain, I could empathize and feel it as well. How could I have been so blind to it? I finally understood that we shared the same pain. Belting out the vocals helped me realize that I'm not alone and regardless of how I may feel, I'm not the only one.
I will forever be a fan of all of your music and probably everyday for the rest of my life Crawling will be just as epic of a one person concert in my car as Bohemian Rhapsody.
Thank you Linkin Park for sharing your talents, being the soundtrack to so many memorable days, and for continuing to share a bit of your lives with your fans. You have helped save my life more than once, and I will forever be grateful.
I'm so sorry. I identified almost completely and I was moved by your text
I pretty much Identified with you except the military part. That would be replaced with abuse by one of my parents for about 4 years and it ended last year. Linkin Park is awesome and I'm so glad that they remastered hybrid theory for the 20th. RIP Chester Bennington
It truly is the best album by far
I experienced physical and mental violence in my childhood from my parents and also i was bullied at school.
When i was 15, i heard music from Linkin Park for the first time (it was the album reanimation) and i was instantly a fan.
Besides the fact, that this music is so unique in it´s style, it´s also the lyrics, that catch me.
It was like Chester gave all my emotions and feelings, which have been locked in me for so long, a voice.
He transformed them in words and screamed them out and for the first time in my life i felt, that there is someone out there, who is really able to understand me.
Even though they´re on the other side of this earth ball and even if i never met them, i feel connected to them in such a deep way, that no other person has ever achieved it in my life.
I´m sad, that i never had a chance to visit a concert from them, but at least i have their music, which accompanies me in my life.
Felt the same towards LP. Easier To Run was the song that saved me from harming myself when I was younger. There was something about Chester's voice that comforted me and made me feel that I wasn't alone. When I heard the news of Chester's passing, it literally broke me, but it also encouraged me to do better in order to feel better and to be open about your mental health. Thanks for sharing your story, I was really moved by it and thought maybe I'd share mine as well.
Watching Mike go numb for a moment looking at Chester's enlarged photo is heartbreaking 💔
Stay strong Mike❤️✨
yes at 3:36
Some may say that he...became so numb (he can't feel him there), became so tired, so much more aware.

Dear Chester,
The sound of your voice painted on my memories, even if you’re not with me I’M WITH YOU!
Rest on Brother
For chester too: Even if you are close to me, you are still so distant and I can't bring you back
His voice so memorable
I love the Linkin Park community. Everyone is so chill, understanding, and we look out for each other.
I miss Chester, so so much. Linkin Park, Chester's singing, got me through so much as a teen. From my dad leaving to my mum being diagnosed with a terminal cancer. He left us the same year my mum lost her battle with cancer. It hit so hard, knowing that person who got you through so much was gone.
LP's songs, especially Chester's singing, got me through a lot during my 40s, 50s and still during my 60s. I will always be a fan forever. Miss Chester so much. 😭💗😭
Even after all these years, he still looks the same. Mike never ages.
I don't think I'll ever get over Chester’s passing. I grew up with Linkin Park being my favorite band for several years and my main introduction to music.
It still hurts a little to watch this and think about those 20 years, can’t imagine how Mike, the rest of the band, and his family feel.
Love you guys and will forever cherish LP ❤️
Same bro!! I feel you.
Same, my mom raised me on bands like Linkin Park, and we both sobbed for like a solid hour together when we found out
few months ago, i was figure out that my 5-years-old-cousin are playing a youtube video, showing highlight sceens from Transformers series with "New Divide" in the background
Hybrid Theory was first album i ever went into a shop with my parents as a 9 year old and said i wanted to buy it with my birthday money. So LP has always been ridiculously important to me. Also seeing LP in Amsterdam only a couple of weeks before Chester's passing is still one of most surreal moments and one i will never forget...
Same here bro 😢
"There are things we can have but can't keep"
These lines have a significant role in my life 🥺
" We are given things for the purpose of giving to someone else in their time of need."
like we can't take this music with us when we die but I'm sure there's better music in the afterlife
Chester's departure makes everything sad. Mike's facial expression cannot hide it.
I hope they do the 20th anniversary special for meteora. As much as I love hybrid theory, meteora has a special in my heart. Is also the first album i heard from them.
I’d love it if they did that

With things like these (anniversary editions, remixes, compilations etc...) it's often some people in the publishing company who make everything. The artist may, or may not, have direct contact with the product.
That wasn't easy to watch. Hiding my tears here don't want anyone to see me balling my eyes out. I love you guys. Even though Chester is in the light. As a fan was so proud to have some awesome albums to listen to and cherish the memories of all the concerts I attend. This box set is a piece of a legend history.
I'm still sad. I cried at work when I found out it was a Monday 😔
My thoughts exactly.
I’ve been listening to LP since I was 6 years old. My mom never really wanted me to listen to them because of the kind of music (she just assumed they were like Slipknot and other heavy metal bands). But my love for LP was so very apparent, eventually she saw how much they mean to me. And so when Chester died, I was held up in my room speechless, confused, and depressed for days. She knew this was something I couldn’t shake off. So, she bought me an entire Linkin Park box set on Vinyl along with their posters. Although I had all their songs on my phone, a physical collection meant so much more to me. I will always love you LP ❤️ you guys have gotten me and millions of other people through their insecurities and depression. You will forever be the greatest band of all time ❤️
This is not just a normal unboxing
It was a heroic past of a legend called Linkin Park
Are u a Vietnamese , me too
I loved how he wasn't fully ready to do the intro, shows that he really wanted to show us this as fast as possible.
Without question, the most influential band in my life, and hybrid theory being the most influential album. Love Linkin Park forever. Chester, you're missed.
The moment I realize Krwlng was playing in the background when Mike was going through the memories from the book.. my god it hits so hard
It's so nice that they still do all that stuff like premium editions or in general being active on RUclips and Instagram, even though they probably aren't going to release new music soon. They really still care about their fans and you can see that.
Don’t know if you knew, but Mike is even live on Twitch for three hours a day, five days a week. He’s been particularly wonderful about staying connected with us fans.
as sad, pessimistic and negative as this may sound, i hope they never release new stuff :(... its one of those things where if its not Chester then there is no Linkin Park. for me anyways. they did a live show without him and i loved it but it didn't feel the same. :(
I miss Chester

Throughout the video, you can really see Mike get more emotional, his energetic and excited attitude gets replaced by a more saddened and emotional tone as he reflects on how far him and his bandmates have come, and especially revisiting memories of his best friend Chester.
I love how he's all smiles the whole time he opens all this and talks about it. You can tell how genuine he feels about that time.
