watched a few days ago and what i cannot get out of my head is (30:29) where they realize they're not done with Chester's vocals, pick up the phone to ask him to come back in, and a few minutes later, there he is, beaming smile, and belts it out like no one else could. what an absolute luxury, just complete magic to have that moment. absolutely heartbreaking in hindsight.
I can concur with this statement. But also, I feel like it speaks a lot to him and his personality. He was probably really pissed, frustrated at the least and he's still smiling for the cameras and putting on his best face. Hiding that side of yourself you don't want people to see, especially when people look to you to feel good.
27:44 Nobody can prove him wrong. There are so many good vocalists out there that can sing perfectly, but there was something about Chester's voice that just worked.

No offense to them featured artists, for sure they are all outstanding on their own respective ventures but they just can't match the quality of Chester's voice and how it mixes well with Linkin Park's music.
@FiliPassos If you listen carefully this tribute band 1. the singer cant use his voice the way Chester did, he misses a lot of disturtion parts in phrases while his scream is really good 2. he doesnt have those touching tones in his clean voice which Chester had 3. The emotions are missing Chester felt every word he sang 4. He doesnt run and jump on stage the way Chaz did and after that crazy running and jumping he could still sing as God, but this guy wouldn't be able to handle it while what I personally think they should have started writing own music instead of being a copy, because that guy is a good singer.

Looking back after Meteora 20 came out, Mike wasn't kidding. They could have made more versions of meteora and hybrid theory, which you can see in Meteora 20 that they could easily do that with ease and successfully. For those who are interested: No More Sorrow was called Ebow because of the droning guitar at the beginning. They used a device called an Ebow, which has an electromagnet that vibrates a string it is held over. It's like a violin bow, but with magnets
Hybrid Theory and Meteora are incredible works. But Linkin Park had the courage to change. They didn't went commercial, they did the opposite. Instead of keep doing what would sell more, they started being completely creative and gain personality. That's how Linkin Park became Linkin Park
Looking back on this era of Linkin Park and revisiting this documentary to see how hard they worked to come up with something fresh really gives you perspective on how damn amazing it is what they managed to accomplish with this record. "No Roads Left" is one of the standout tracks to me, and I'm surprised it ended up as a b-side.
Its heartwarming to hear about Mike's struggle to take over some of the singing. I saw you guys in Oklahoma City in 2008 I believe it was. Anyway, Chester tore his larynx or something cray during the show. But you guys still did an encore! I remember screaming out for some of the Minutes to Midnight songs. I would have lost it if you all played "In Between".
When Chester wrote Leave out all the rest wrote his farewell letter 😞😭 Rob you will miss so much too. I am excited for new era but I would have love to see Rob be part of it 😭
I remember being bummed out when the record came out, because it sounded like nothing I was expecting. But I kept on listening and fell in love with the record after all. Now looking back at this record, these guys were sooo ahead of their time. MTM is still in my top 10 favorite albums of all time!
LP was my bridge from rap to rock when I was young, since I grew up in an area where mainly rap was the music preference. And that made me find out who I was, how music can affect you and how it can perfectly describe how you feel. LP took the two music genres I loved and combined them, and combined lyrics that covered how I felt and what I had been through. Ive never gotten to see them live, and thats probably a regret I`ll carry with me to the grave, but I know that without their music I probably wouldnt be who I am today, or maybe even be here at all. Theres probably many LP fans that feel the same way, and I hope every single band member knows this. I wish them all the best moving forward, and I hope they have the best life they can. They sure as hell deserve it!
Unbelievably underrated album. What I've Done, The Little Things Give You Away, In Pieces, Leave Out All The Rest, Valentine's Day, Bleed It Out, Given Up and Shadow Of The Day are all masterpieces

Minutes To Midnight is my favorite Linkin Park album, specialy Given up. I think that song is one of the most dificult songs to perform, specially in the vocal parts. It really shows all the potential that Chester had, he was an inspiration to me and so many people, we'll never forget him.
I remember driving to work listening to "Given Up" on my CD player for the 1st time, when I heard that scream I had to pull over to the side of the road, and then go back and listen to it again and again. Whoa that was powerful!

12:49-12:50
29:46 the inspiration for 'the messenger' bridge. So cool
For those who are interested: No More Sorrow was called Ebow because of the droning guitar at the beginning. They used a device called an Ebow, which has an electromagnet that vibrates a string it is held over. It's like a violin bow, but with magnets
Minutes To Midnight is such a great album.
Hybrid Theory and Meteora are incredible works.
But Linkin Park had the courage to change. They didn't went commercial, they did the opposite. Instead of keep doing what would sell more, they started being completely creative and gain personality. That's how Linkin Park became Linkin Park
You Are Fucking Right!!!!!!!!
Well, they kinda went commercial with One More Light, but it's fine, it's pop at it's best
@@KeanoMUFC1 it's not commercial just cause it's pop. If they did generic nu metal instead, they would have sold 5 times more albums
@@igornaimoli7321 i don't think so, but we will never know
@@KeanoMUFC1 we would have never known anyway. The good thing is Linkin Park kept doing different things, and ALL of them are masterpieces
@fukka source?
@fukka thanks. Yeah I didn't realize they were out there though
So good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🎧🔥
Yeeeeessss... One of the most underrated album of Linkin park discography
Everytime you watch a Linkin Park video you have a constant smile on your face throughout the video and you don't even realize it.
Thanks for that comment ❤️
This is true!
This Album is one of my favourites and I'll never forget Chester Bennington since he deserves to be remembered for his work in Linkin Park
Thank you for being Linkin Park!!! Thank U Mike, Rob, Han, Dave, Brad and the one and only Chester ❤️❤️❤️
I am excited for new era but I would have love to see Rob be part of it 😭
Chester is so missed - he was a true inspiration and the world just isnt the same. Thank you Linkin Park
Cherish the memories. That's all I have to say, I'm glad someone wonderful touched our lives. Love LP❤🤘🤘
👍🏻👍🏻
I remember being bummed out when the record came out, because it sounded like nothing I was expecting. But I kept on listening and fell in love with the record after all. Now looking back at this record, these guys were sooo ahead of their time. MTM is still in my top 10 favorite albums of all time!
"Man. This chick Donna. She must be something because every song is written about her" 🖤
😂😂
5:54-5:59
Most Underrated album of LP. Still remember those days of 2007 when this album was released.
Nostalgia
Thank you Linkin Park for giving such a masterpiece album
150 songs?! You have to release all of them for the MTM anniversary!
I had no idea that Rob could play the piano too! That piece he was playing was beautiful.
actually Rob, Mike and Joe can play the piano.
@@Hale-Bopp Mike is TALENTED
So good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🎧🔥
Much love from INDIA, we miss you
LP was my bridge from rap to rock when I was young, since I grew up in an area where mainly rap was the music preference.
Obrigado, Linkin Park. Obrigado, Chester! Nós sentimos muito a sua falta 🖤
sim 😔
Mtas saudades dele msm, será eternamente minha voz 😭❤️
Sim muito 😔💔😭
Unbelievably underrated album. What I've Done, The Little Things Give You Away, In Pieces, Leave Out All The Rest, Valentine's Day, Bleed It Out, Given Up and Shadow Of The Day are all masterpieces
True
Hands Held High!
In Between :)
Given Up = my #1
Wake is a very cool intro
I miss LP and Chester, nothing has come close to what you all did and sounded like
M
i feel that. Linkin Park is the greatest band of all.
So good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🎧🔥
@@beezybeez7231 thank you for the recommendation never heard of them but sounds good, definitely getting a bit of old lp sound, but still nothing beats lp for me, i wish lp could make one more album of unreleased songs or something
I think in the future maybe even the near future they will start doing stuff again.
I feel like they are up to something.
Besides the meteora 20 anaversary
Linkin Park моя любимая группа,Честер навсегда в моем сердце!😢💗💔🎧🎸🎼

"We didn't want to make a trilogy" thats Linkin Park, much love guys and Chester for ever you are a legend.
Today is Chester fourth death anniversary , miss you Chester💔
Today is a hard day....
I miss Chester soooooo much
Years from now Linkin Park will be remembered the same way music lovers remember the Beatles, Queen or Nirvana. Rightfully as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
See you again paul i mean chester
Not sure I want to celebrate his death... I really want to keep appreciating what he brought to music, and to me, especially because he fucking saved my life more than I can count. RIP my brother !
"Linkin Park" you did a good job on all the albums! Well done! Brad, Dave, Rob, Joe, Mike and Chester. These guys would like to see again on the same stage, in the same room, in the same studio. Thank you so much for the unforgettable moments in life! Since childhood with you! There wouldn't be a childhood without you. And let all the critics lie low and hide! You are special to me and to others. Fools blindly believed that you were looking for popularity. But we knew we wanted to surprise us with a new sound. That's what you did! You surprised us. And that's in all the good sense for me. Thank you so much! I can't help you any more than the likes, likes, the birth of new fans, etc.
We can only wish. Can somebody turn back time???
Minutes To Midnight is my favorite Linkin Park album, specialy Given up.
I think that song is one of the most dificult songs to perform, specially in the vocal parts.
It really shows all the potential that Chester had, he was an inspiration to me and so many people, we'll never forget him.
Same here. It has that blend of anger, sorrow and forgiveness.
Given up is a scary song for me because he screamed a note for 17 seconds, and I was wondering like is the audio broken or something? 😳😳😳
So good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🎧🔥
I remember driving to work listening to "Given Up" on my CD player for the 1st time, when I heard that scream I had to pull over to the side of the road, and then go back and listen to it again and again. Whoa that was powerful!
They are group of friends created music with passion many hits single proved it, they are hard working and focus and become very successes. They are LINKIN PARK. and of course We miss you Chester you are the missing pieces of LINKIN PARK.
The little thins give you away is my favourite linkin park song, and I think that is criminally underrated
Linkin Park will be always the best band ever. Thanks for everything guys.
Back when this Album came out. We had CDs still and it came with lyrics. We would learn all these songs inside and out. I know this album well because i listened to the entire thing 100x. Now people never do that. Only the hit singles. Its a very good album.
I’m so glad they decided to release this, it’s so cool seeing all the work that goes into their music

Happy birthday to minutes to midnight! Most people started hating LP after it, but I think they did the right thing by making it. It’s become one of my favorites! Chester’s beautiful voice on “the little things give you away” makes me cry
My first favourite Rockstar. My favourite band. It's so hard to think that I cannot listen to his voice again.
The little things give you away is a mixing/mastering masterpiece to me
You all killed it with this one. This album makes me smile, cry, and party all in one! Your dedication and discipline to transforming LP's sound is an inspiration

I hope Linkin Park is back. The world needs some good music during these desperate times. Chester, missing you each and every day. Those were golden days, now fading into oblivion. 😢
Sorry to say, but they’re no longer putting out new songs ;-;
@@Manderinz well…
There's simply no replacing Chester. They'd have to start fresh so expectations would be manageable.

God I love LINKIN PARK 😫😭🥺
With no joke, I have been listening to MTM since 2007 every single day and it saved me in many battles. That is something sacred and very meaningful for me, such a warm, private and beloved little thing which occupies big part in my heart. One of the best albums in entire human history.
Thank you, Linkin Park...
Still my favorite album from you guys. So many great songs. So many feelings & emotions. We'll never thank you guys enough for what you've done.
From my perspective linkin park is a micro cosmos of how the world should look like! six different people (religion, personality ) which cooperate with great harmony and that explain their huge success all over the globe 🌎
Thanks Linkin Park
Seems as if Chester here was at his happiest. I mean it’s difficult to say how he was feeling, but he seems to be really enjoying making the album and being surrounded by his band mates. RIP Chester
Chester lives in our heart through his voice and this documentary shows how much fun he was and so loved by the fellow members. ❤
All of their albums are unique and a perfect masterpiece.

I was shocked when I heard how different everyone sounded on this album. Talk about phoenix rising fr the ashes (pun intended). But ya'll didn't even have to rise up- you were already so good. Everyone loved you but you came back boss! Thank you for everything you do!
Watched it just now... Just 6 super talented guys working on unforgettable masterpieces. Thank you Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Mr. Hahn and Rob Bourdon for making my life better. ❤ I love you guys!
“Given up”
If that doesn’t get you amped up, nothing will!!

"Linkin Park" has created a new sound in the world of music, surpassing the time by several trillion and even more years
Whenever I see Linkin park upload I drop everything and immediately watch it.
"I don't wanna make anybody uncomfortable" - Chester in his pants xD Love this guy
The voice is close and fresh, so it makes me think that Chester is probably alive somewhere.
I am also mentally bound by my mother and live,Sometimes I get damaged and I feel like I'm going to take my mind and body.
I always remember you at that time,Chester.
I'm holding up somehow...from Japan.
I hope you'll be fine. Stay strong
