For the longest time I was in the "Give me another Meteora/Hybrid Theory camp. I thought Minutes to Midnight, Thousand Suns, Living Things, Hunting Party were all disappointing. But then I realized I was disappointed because I expected to get what I thought Linkin Park was. But got something completely different. And as I return to those albums, I realize how amazing the music is, how brilliant the production is. Yes it's different. But look at Breaking Benjamin... People change as artists. Tastes change. Influences change. Why would anyone want to write the same shit everytime. Linkin Park got it done the first time then moved on to the next thing. Respect.
Honestly people like you used to piss me off when they were disappointed with the new stuff LP was throwing out, using the "I like their old stuff way better" line everytime a new song came on
well true but i dont like mainstream or pop, normal rock anymore, music makes difference its not lyrics only, actually LP got me into metal because thats the type of music i liked most and made me feel songs lyrics even more and i always look for special songs and best i dont follow certain bands, LP was the only band i always listen to their new songs without hesitating or picking. up to Hunting Party was fine for me i never had issue, i know they wanted to completely change in one more light and try different things and follow new generation but im not into that type of music, i liked lyrics but the music wasnt working for me to feel them, its taste and the way we feel song so i cant force myself to like it. i was hoping they would do another version or demo for old fans who love metal and alternative even for fun no need for big clean record but sadly we lost Chester :(
Mare Hussam completely agree I can only have 3 songs from OML in my playlist. But I can rock out to 100% of HT, Reanimation, Meteora, MTM, Living Things. I’m still selective about ATS and Recharged
So he wasn't kidding when he said they could make another record like Hybrid Theory in like a month.

Mike is a creative genius. Hybrid Theory was the first CD I ever bought. Rising Tide is the only album I've ever listened to that brings me back to a very specific time in my life. Post Traumatic resonated in tough times. I'm ashamed to say the first and only time I saw him live was at the fillmore in Denver performing Post Traumatic. What a performance though. I'll never forget.
One of the most underrated artists of our time.
When your wife said she needs your help, you gotta go, quick, real quick!
I really like Hunting Party too
Breaking Benjamin is seriously Amazing with every album its put out and it's different everytime and still the same to its core ❤🖤
Something like it's going down that you did with Joe Hahn and the X-Ecutioners. Clear and distinct synth sounds with aggressive guitar riffs.
an album like this, no voice, just imagining the voice of Chester on it. Solid feels.
Mike Shinoda is my hero.
