. Welcome to our Alaska adventure, where we take to the skies with friends and capture the beauty of the Last Frontier from a unique perspective. We're flying in a Cessna 172 as the photo airplane, with the talented Deon Mitton behind the lens. Deon is a professional photographer with a keen eye for capturing the perfect shot, and has a wealth of experience in air to air photography and formation flying.
Our pilot, Jordan, is no stranger to the skies. As a member of the Coast Guard, he flies helicopters and is based in Kodiak. He's a true bush pilot and backcountry pilot, with a wealth of experience in bush flying and flying in Alaska. He's bringing his wife Heather, who works for Life Flight, and their beloved dog Griff along for the ride. Nick, a 747 pilot, is also joining us on this adventure. Together, we're exploring the stunning mountains of Alaska, with glaciers, clouds, and beautiful sunset colors as our backdrop.
We're flying around the majestic mountains of Alaska, with glaciers, clouds, and beautiful sunset colors as our backdrop. Each day is a new adventure as we search for the perfect shot and explore the incredible landscape. We're constantly in awe of the natural beauty that surround us and are always working to capture it in the best possible way using the angle of attack and other photography tips and ideas we've learned from our online ground school.
We'll take you on a journey through the skies, where you'll see the vast expanse of glaciers, the rugged terrain of the mountains, and the stunning colors of the sunset. We'll also introduce you to the people who make it all possible, including Jordan, Heather, Nick, and Deon. You'll get to see their passion for flying and photography, and how they work together to capture the perfect shot. This flying vlog is a look into the pilot life and airplanes, specifically the Cessna 172 Skyhawk and Cessna 180, which we'll be flying in this adventure.
We can't wait to share this incredible adventure with you and hope you'll join us on this once in a lifetime experience. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as we take you on a journey through the skies of Alaska. If you're a fan of Alaska aviation, flying in Alaska by private plane, or flying in Alaska tv show, this is the perfect vlog for you! Join us as we experience the thrill of bush flying in Alaska and explore the backcountry from the air.

subscribed and liked awesome bro I remember you from long ago, proud of what you have achieved, you are a flying legend
Selfishly I would’ve liked to see you guys land on a remote beach and spend the night in a cabin waiting for the fog to clear! Awesome video thanks!
Just found this! I used to listen to you years ago on a very old podcast that you did with the 100 dollar burgers (2008?!), used to listen to that every week when I lived abroad.. so good to see you so happy and well and enjoying flying in such a beautiful place! Man, how I would love to experience that once in this lifetime!
Love the South African!!! You’re guaranteed to be in good hands with them!! 👍
Ain’t that the truth.
We try to play as much as possible.
I was just about to ask if the left seat guy was South African 😂
@@skeletonfunfair the clueless dude 😄
Hello 👋 everyone , you mentioned at the introduction that one of you are a Coast Gard helicopter piolit and one a nurse that is a rescue ride along . I just want to say THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE AND LIFE OF SERVING. God bless you and keep you all safe. Yes the seanery is breathtaking, your skills as flyers is outstanding. Thank you for taking us along.

No fair you guys having all the fun, Most of us old guys will never get to do that, we will have to live it through you ! THANK YOU !!!👍👍👍
Well, that was different I have to say, is refreshing and cool too. I couldn't help to keep looking at the tires of the other airplane, they look so cool with the white lettering.
I liked the video, keep it up Chris. 😉👍 🇨🇦
Heavenly pictures! And literally lol’d like always KLEEEER!!!!!

Formation flying is one of the best forms of flight. Can’t imagine doing it in Alaska! 😍

Lovely formation flying. And such a beautiful Cessna 180 too
It really is!
This was an epic aerial photo shoot...Great friends, great flying...only in Alaska...bet the campfire was awesome...thx Chris...
Damn man, totally awesome shots! I love watching aviation videos but when I see yours they are always super professional. Light years ahead of everyone else. I also love to reminisce about my times spent in the Homer area. Breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for making my evening and thank you for all you do.
Thanks for sharing. Such awesome plan, such beautiful idea.
Beaaaautiful! Fun video ❤
CLEAR! LOL going to be stealing that
Chris, Great job you guys did on this one. Lots of talent happening here. Between the flying, photographing, and video all happening at once it really shows. You really do seem to be living the dream buddy. Good luck on things to come in 2023.
That's Nick! - from the good old FSBreak days where he talked about his adventure in becoming an airline pilot! Cool to see he has risen in the "ranks"! :)
Beautiful shots for sure! Glad you spotted the fog in time it rolled in quick!
Barely!
@@angleofattack Why doesn't ATC keep you informed regarding the fog?
Thanks Chris for telling this story... there are so many things going on behind the scenes, which I think not many people are aware of. Your bts footage does a great job, of putting it all together. The late summers in Alaska is simply awesome, and I don't think many pilots can imagine how epic it really is ... can't wait for the next time !
Fantastic!
Another great video
Sweet… Deon is one of my favorite people! What a beautiful flight, can’t wait for summer to return.
Awesome!
More and more inspiration and motivation to get my PPL, its difficult but not insurmountable.
Great pictures!🍻
Love the supercool air-to-air shots!
Amazing! The views are amazing! Thanks for sharing.
I started my flight training in Washington and finished in Alaska. My long solo cross country was from Anchorage to Homer. The DPE asked why I chose that route since it was so much further than required. I was leaving in less than 30 days and didn’t know when I would return. I miss Alaska so much and 11 years later, I’m thinking about looking for a flying job up there. My wife is supportive so now is the time!
Eu preciso conhecer o Alaska! Natureza exuberante.
Another great video! Can’t wait to do this one day!
This is incredible!! Can’t wait to get back to Alaska this year. Until then, I’ll see you at Osh!

3:40 WTH was that?? "ClEaRr!!" XD
haha spot the SAFFA. Howzit boet, veilig vlieg
I love 180's!
Who doesn’t?
What focal length was your mate using taking the aerial shots? Great photos BTW.
Absolutely breathtaking… awesome video!!
But your left flap is so badly out of rig it made me cringe!!
Beautiful views, but scary. I could not see myself flying a plane. I'd rather be walking the earth than flying above it.
What Model AOA system do you have ?
Is that 11:30pm?
Does Griff have a set of mutt muffs?
Ridonculous...yep.
Aren't you a cfi. You should be using 122.75 for air-to-air. 123.45 is not an authorized freq for that. I get you're in Alaska and it's the wild wild west but you should be portraying proper airmanship as you are selling flight instruction as a side biz.
Very nice, except I would have left the woman out of it. Not nice to look back on after she takes your kids and half your stuff. At least you would have had your own memory. Now she was there to ruin it.
