I found my self cheering out loud at these landings. I was stubborn as a mule learning to land but Sienna really seems to be making great progress. GOOD JOB!
Pretty cool, Sienna! You're building a loyal fanbase out here in the cyberspace. I'm sure all of us are looking forward to seeing you progress in your flying career in future years.
Great job, it’s going to take some time, effort, practice and patience. Have fun and enjoy that beautiful time in your life learning :) Keep it up and continue flying :) Huge support from US, Oregon!
Thanks! I love this. Learning a lot watching you teach another new flyer. I just started my flight training. Have had 1 flight so far and was just glued to the gauges trying to keep level flight. Next flight is in a few days. Love watching what is coming and how it’s done so when I get there I’ll already have some familiarity on the process! Thanks for letting us ride along!
Sienna. wishing you much success and enjoyment in your journey to becoming a pilot - and thanks for sharing your training with everyone! You're doing great and btw you have an excellent instructor! Andy
Doing great Sienna. I'm currently doing my Ultralight training here in Spain, just had my 3rd lesson today, takeoffs and landings, so we are at about the same stage. Love to see you progressing at the same pace as I am and studying your lessons is a great help to me - keep it up!
I just did this flight along with on Microsoft flight sim, following your instructions, and I buttered the landing. Finding a flight school in Texas this month. I've been debating for years, and this series of videos has allowed me to convince myself to do it. Thank you for that
Great job in giving just enough help for her to be successful! It seems like I banged down on a lot more of my early landings and all of hers looked really good! She must have a good instructor!!
Thanks to you both! Chris your channel is by far my favorite to watch and Sienna you’re doing amazing! I can’t wait to continue my own training once the FAA clears my medical (long story). I’ve thought about moving to Homer as it looks like an amazing place to train!
Absolutely loving these videos, as a student pilot these videos with Sienna are such a valuable resource and have helped me so much😊. Thank you to you as well as to her 😊
Very informative, packed with common sense and has some parallels with driving a land vehicle. One thing that stands out in your instructional video is a focus on ensuring the pilot is constantly aware of their landing options in the event of a power loss. That’s often not addressed in aviation footage and part of it is due to some pilots (from discussing it with them) concerns about losing followers. In reality, the opposite occurs. It’s reassuring that it’s included as that’s a source of consternation to lots of would be pilots.
Great job Sienna, and great job Chris. You are a great teacher. I am currently working on my landings and pattern work. Keep up the excellent work as always. Safe skies 🇺🇸🛩️
I love this new program you are doing for students like Sienna for us to help support them in their new flying careers. Now I'm looking for how we actually donate into this. I'm sorry if I am a lousy student myself in not paying enough attention but I must have missed something.
Very nice job, Sienna, landings are hard to get down and your doing an awesome job at building the muscle memory and visual ques needed to butter those landings. Keep it up, your control of the plane is very natural :D I believe that if you choose to go further once you get your ppl you will do great.
You seem like a really amazing instructor and Sienna has talent, she's learning fast. Great video as always, though I miss you yelling "PROP CLEAAAAR" Cheers from the other end of the Earth.
I really enjoy this series! ^^ I wasn't that invested in aviation before but when I found your videos and this series I was catched immediately! My best friend also trains for her ppl right now (at EDVE in Germany) and did her first solo a few weeks ago. When she talked to me about her flights and stuff it sounded interesting. But now that I have dived in on the topic I can't stop talking with her about aviation and all the procedures like traffic pattern, ATC...I can't wait to fly with her one day. I'm making my first steps in Microsoft Flightsim for now but a discovery flight is definitely on my bucketlist! And my friend is happy to have someone to talk about all this interesting stuff! ^^ PS: taking notes here for my (virtual) traffic patterns haha
Working on my CFI Initial currently and enjoy getting to watch you work with a student/learner. Like getting to do an "observation flight" from the comfort of my couch.
I've been using the Microsoft flight sim with the Yoke system and rudder pedals. I plan on starting my PPL training in the next couple months. I found you're airport on there its kinda fun flying around the same area that we are watching you train people.
I’m starting my journey to get my private pilot license in a couple weeks! These videos are certainly making me feel excited to start. Is there anything you think someone should learn/know before their first day in flight school? Thanks for the content!
you're already doing a lot by watching youtube vids! you can always start learning the ground information, learn the phonetic alphabet, learn how to talk on the radios, all of that will give you a head start for sure
Another awesome video! One question: is it not standard in the FAA world to announce in your radio call in uncontrolled aerodromes what you are doing? In Canada, we add if we’re doing a full stop/stop&go/touch&go/etc at the end 🤔
Pretty sure he said "strut", referring to the strut that supports the wing. On downwind you want to keep the runway so that it "intersects" the strut visually right in the middle. Helps you keep the proper horizontal distance from the runway relative to your altitude in the teaffic pattern.
Why are you having her begin configuration for landing with the first notch of flaps on cross wind? I feel like that is not realistically practicing while in the pattern because when you are joining the pattern to land somewhere with a 45 into the down wind you begin configuration on down wind. I feel like you would want to establish the same muscle memory in the pattern weather you’re doing laps or coming into a new airport for a full stop.

Maybe don't knock that? I actually used chewing gum to help me with air sickness early in training. Just normal gum. Couldn’t tell you why it helped but it did, and without having to take anything that would make me not fit for flight.

Got a question what audio adapter are you using with your GoPro to be able to record your head sets I’m going to start my private lessons
NFlightCam. Use code AOA for 10% off.
Why do you introduce flaps almost immediately after leveling off?
Chris - what is the object that shows up in the right side of the picture, when you’re using the tail camera? Is that some sort of antenna, or what?
It’s the VOR antenna
I live in anchorage I’ve wanted my pilots license since I was young would like to inquire about starting
Keep it going Sienna, Don't stop until you get that private ticket. :-)
Thanks so much for the support! *Her First Solo!* ---> ruclips.net/video/Zhmqyx_fujE/видео.html
@01:40 what makes the plane "stand up" ?
How old do you need to be to start taking lessons?
You just said something about any altitude, any distance, keep it in the middle of the strip, what strip? I don’t understand.
Pretty sure he said "strut", referring to the strut that supports the wing. On downwind you want to keep the runway so that it "intersects" the strut visually right in the middle. Helps you keep the proper horizontal distance from the runway relative to your altitude in the teaffic pattern.
Thank you, that makes much more sense.
Sweet pink glasses!!
Why are you having her begin configuration for landing with the first notch of flaps on cross wind? I feel like you would want to establish the same muscle memory in the pattern weather you’re doing laps or coming into a new airport for a full stop.

Honestly you should pay for her training being that you’re getting paid from showing her in your channel for profit / personal gain 😢
Apparently you don’t know how much aviation RUclipsrs make on views (nothing)
I only watch his videos to hear him yell "cleeEEAArrr"
And seven or eight other reasons, but mostly the yell

Great as usual, pity about the student chewing gum!
Maybe don't knock that? I actually used chewing gum to help me with air sickness early in training. Just normal gum. Couldn’t tell you why it helped but it did, and without having to take anything that would make me not fit for flight.
You should do the world a favor and stay off the internet.
It can aid concentration. Why are you opposed to chewing?
What’s wrong with that
