- Ever wondered what Seth was really like when the camera's not rolling? Check out this fun episode where we watch Seth Alvo of Berm Peak and Berm Peak Express, formerly Seth's Bike Hacks, do what he does best.
We filmed this video while we were there filming our longer and informative mini-documentary interview with Seth and were stoked to be able to see the master of RUclips mountain bike videos at work.

Personally the appeal is Seth is the guy next door, could easily be a riding buddy. He's not a former Racer or someone retired from the business. Just a normal guy that loves bike, working on bikes and trails. Always look forward to new content never know what you're gonna get.
Exactly.
It's all in the catch phrase. What a hook! "Today we're gonna do something a little bit different... but kinda the same"
In addition, when I found him a few years ago, he was me 20 years ago on my bmx bike - building outlandish jumps and features to challenge myself.
I was an early subscriber to Seth’s channel. There were about a thousand subscribers. It was easy to tell that it was a channel that was going to blow up. He does everything so well. As a mechanic I could tell he was not blowing smoke. He knows his stuff without arrogance. His positive attitude is engaging and inspirational.
Great job on this video, it’s really well done!! Seth is the best at what he does and has earned every bit of his success through hard work. Also one of my favorite people to hang out and ride with, so much respect for him!
Thanks Porter! Really appreciate it. Hope we get to ride again soon!
I never knew how much Seth had to work still to maintain his channel, I thought at this point he had his channel established and could just work like 3 days a week. Much respect to both of u guys for doing what u guys do for us!
He is a hard workin man! Lots of respect and inspiration and we’re thankful he shared some with us!
I remember other youtubers mentionning Seth's work ethic, and honestly there's no surprises for me here, you can't grow a succesfull YT channel just working 3 days a week.
People generally have NO idea how much work it takes to put out so much content
So good hearing him talk about all the extra hassle when building. I have a building channel as well and filming an episode makes it take at least twice as long as if I were just out there building. But I love the end result of the feature and the video so it's worth it.
I remember that I was subscribed to Seth's channel when he started the Berm Creek series. It was the coolest idea I had seen on MTB yet, I knew it was going to blow up, so happy he has seen the success from that, and he still loves what he does!
I have been a long time subscriber. Since the Seth time. I don't know why it is so addictive to watch his channel. Every time the video ends, there is a feeling of not enough and will wait for the next coming video. His channel is a top of the waiting list every week.
Seth, you're the man! Drew, your creativity with these continues to push and amaze!
More to come!
I still go back to Seth’s video on cable tension when he was still living in Florida 😂! Thank you Seth !
That’s rad.
Haha. I did a few weeks ago.
Awesome!! I spent several weeks binging Seth's videos... he even got me into RC cars. But now I'm out of stuff to watch so I only get one video of his a week. Boo!!! :)
Haha. That’s awesome story thanks for sharing.
I think found Seth when I was thinking about getting the DNM dropper post. He did a review back in Florida, that was back in the days when it was impossible to find budget droppers. His review convinced me to get one and that was my introduction to droppers.
Really enjoy your videos. I did not realize how much work goes into being a RUclipsr.
Just wish this was longer. Great video!
Thank you very much.
This is really cool to watch the behind the scenes!
We love Seth. He is a MOT! Love his content and he is a Long Island boy!
Super interesting!
super solid!
Seth’s outstanding attributes are his work ethic, self reliance and the confidence to figure sh*t out. I feel sorry for anyone having to deliver work or a service to Seth, imagine the judgement when you take too long to do something not of his standard.
nice
Thanks for watching.
Where did you get that Death to Bike Thieves short?
Its one of ours, We have them in our webstore.
Nice shirt
Bill nye....lol...wouldn't trust that dude with anything.. nice video 📹 👍
Another hour would have been good...cool vid.
We agree!
I thought it was Harry Mac
Is this a reupload?
No the video we posted a couple months ago was a much longer interview with Seth where we learned about him personally, where he came from, transitions his career has had and Berm Park bike park.
This was more of a look at what goes on inside his studio.
Holy shit I thought that was Brenden Schaub in the thumbnail 🤣
Haha
Seth saying there are only 2 MTB wheel sizes on modern bikes. What? 26" for life! 2019 Cotic is plenty modern!
Lol goofy
