wow, never thought of/or knew how to take off the assembly, when I got my car, that's the first thing I had to do, and since I was replacing the front bumper anyway, I changed the motors out while the bumper was off, not as much room as the way you did it, but it definitely helped. Now that I see it done your way, I'll keep that in mind next time I change motors. Thanks

FYI:. The motor only uses 1/2 of the gear. You can rotate plastic gear past the broken teeth, and put it back in place. That will let the headlight work until your brass gear shipment comes in. The hard part is, lining up the motor to turn, away from the broken gear teeth. Hand crank the motor, with the cover off, on a workbench so you can easily see the gear and teeth at work. After that just tape closed. That will hold until your brass gear gets shipped to you.

Thanks a ton for this video! I found it helpful. Folks, make sure you have two 10mm wrenches (not sockets) to get that middle bolt off the headlamp motor; thin/tight spot. I had to borrow from my neighbor.
It took me about 3 hours to do the passenger side gear (plus 1 hour of glue drying). The next one will definitely be faster.
    Thanks again!

Any advice on replacing the little white rubber stoppers? I tried buying an after market stopper but for some reason the shaft on the headlight arm keeps taking it apart, pushes it out, or ends up bypassing the rubber stop getting the shaft stuck on top of the rubber stop.

Usually a rattling noise means something is loose or slipping..and if the headlight stays down or keeps falling back down..normally its the gear thats stripped so itll give u a rattling noise everytime it tries to grab
