When I get bogged down with the complexities of my project car, I watch one of your videos and get a different perspective on my situation. Thanks, for that.
I just finished my brake booster vacuum pump installation after watching your video on the subject, twice. It only took me four nights after work all week.
Just did mine on my 95. Has the single headlight setup and all I had to remove wad the bezel around the headlight. Was able to reach in and take out all the bolts. Thanks for the video
Nice instructional clip. I performed this operation several years ago, and started having random issues with the right side. I could rotate the gear manually and it would catch. However, last night neither one would open and had no noise and the headlights were on. Gonna have to dig into it today.
Hey man, I just wanted to leave a comment. I appreciate how you go into detail on the service of the vehicles you work. I really like the 81 Z28 by the way. Thanks for posting!
Very good video I have the same color TA your working in in the video I'm unsure of your year mine is a 1995. You did a very thorough job and explained it very well thank you, I am now a new subscriber.
Mine just recently started doing it on the passenger side, I got two kits from Hawk Motorsports to do both lights since one went bad. I've never done anything like this before and I'm nervous about screwing it up. I want to thank you for your video, it's better than most of the others I've seen. I also need to replace my 22 year old alternator as well, I just got an upgraded KG3 one from a truck at LKQ, I'm going to see if you have any videos about replacing that too.
Thank you and good luck..sorry no alternator replacement specific videos, but I have other videos where I had to take the alternator off for other reasons..dont forget to subscribe
My 99 was a little different... The wire harness plug was slid in onto a peg... And the 3rd bolt holding the electric motor mount was really difficult to get at... Only 1 tooth was broken... But that was enough!
Awsome vid Klowny, came at the best time bro my pass side in my 98 FORMULA need replaced you make it look easy, all the other backs cry in about the bottom bolt removal

Do you have a parts list and/or another video about your projector assemblies? Do you find the projector to be much better than your high beam setup? Or is it more for the look?
Looks like LMC Truck housing with an LED bulb. I have LMC truck housings for both my high and low beam. Pretend you have a 1989-1991 blazer when ordering. the housings are identical in size. The low beam ones have a chrome cap too, so you can do a direct halogen to LED bulb conversion.
Hey I have a question! I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure that my pop up headlights aren’t supposed to be loose? Like when I touch/lift the pop up headlight, I can move it slightly and I remember it being not able to do that. Am I right or wrong but is their a way to make it ‘stiff’ again?
So the brass is strong enough to keep from being damaged like the original plastic gear was damaged? Will see if I can find one of these repair kits for my '96 Saturn.
My headlight has some slack in it. While up I can move it up and down about a 1/4 of a inch. It also rest on the bumper some. Any idea whats causing this? They move up and down like normal but the lid hits the hood so I have to pop the hood every time I raise them.
How did you get an aftermarket circle bulb. I bought a V6 Firebird only for the T-Tops and it had a weird blue that looked almost chrome from the factory. Like to upgrade parts. Already spent 2300 since I bought it. Typical GM for me. I do love the car though. But I'm a Ford person for only reasons I get over 300k to 470k miles on them.
OK Clowney I don’t want to have to do this myself it’s too complicated and I’m worried I’m gonna screw it up where can I take my vehicle to have this done because most mechanics don’t want to do this and how much should it cost?
When you do the manually counterclockwise turns. Mine doesn’t go up, I can sit there and twist forever. But when I try on my passenger side it works, is there another way I can get to it to raise the headlight.
Is there any way I can get the rounded headlights off of someone to put in my 95 trans am? All the body kits a find use the rounded headlight doors but I have the squared ones
you know if you are wanting to fix the problem and don't want to spend the $ because you want to sell the car or don't have the $ for the brass gears you can do a 180 degree flip on the plastic gear. It can give you a few years until you need to change the gear.
@@yamahaguy1732 ya! There is a bar in the shape of an L that popes the headlight up and down. It needs to hit the other side to turn off and wasn't reaching it
@@kingofpop1386 I changed out the gear on one of mine today it works good I put the arm on in the wrong angle and it wasn’t working then I got to looking at the other one and realized 😂 but now I found out I need another gear cause the passenger side also makes that obnoxious noise

Fun fact: the gear only turns 180 degrees. If you don't have a brass replacement gear, just rotate the plastic gear 180 degrees.
