We always recommend cleaning it upon unpacking the rifle as there is a thin oil film in the inner barrel to protect brass from oxidisation while being on the sea shipment. Not brutal.....honest. but this isn't the only video for a review ANYONE should watch for a "solid" opinion. Search around.....there are more informative videos out there( on any product)
I actually was sent this gun as an influencer by Novritsch, mine is spot on. Also I wasn't paid I just got the gun to review. But I have affiliate links that if people use I can get a commission. As KM is a big infuencer maybe he gets a different deal with different terms. It is also very important to mention here that Novritsch doesn't tell influnecers what to say and doesn't vet our videos before they are put out. I can't say the same for other companies I have turned many of them down for just that reason. So for me mine works well and I have 10 hours of gameplay on it from two seperate outings. Played at 8 degrees and 10 degrees C and in rain. My footage will show how mine perfromed and people can judge for themselves from that. I will say however as it is Green gas I was expecting serious gas cool down but if you don't spam a trigger like crazy (what km did here) gas cool down in cold conditions is reduced. But maybe mine works better than his. This is the thing, I can onky say how mine performed, not how all others will. KM is right about the recoil its slow and unimpressive but this is meant to be a ruger 10/22 replica and as a real steel shooter having shot .22lr for years it has basically about the same recoil. So kind of true to its real steel counterpart. Personally if you want to use any GBBR in cold weather when you get below 10 degree C it can be hit and miss and FPS loss is guaranteed. Some more premium brands like the TM KM mentioned may handle this better indeed. So hpa is the best option if you want to have zero consistencyissues with a GBBR. I will probably hpa tap mine so I can shoot all year around I found it to be a fun gun. I think 99% of influencers would not sell out to say somthing that is crap, is actually good. The damage to their reputation is not worth that. All I will say is do your own research and judge for yourselves always before you buy. Fyi all I have heard one gripe from this gun is that the screw glue on the screws is excessive meaning disassembly can be hard but have not found it to be the case on mine.
But do you mention that you got the gun for free? And get asked to make vids? Also i dont think compagnies will send stuff to people who are negative about their products.

Interesting Video. I got an ssq-22 as well (no payment, just the rifle) and it does not work at all 😅 The bolt wont cycle after 1 to 2 shots. So based on your problems in the video I think they pushed the release way too soon. There are still too many issues with the gbbr. How are your screws? Did you tried opening the ssq-22?
They sent me two, I guess because they were worried one wouldn't work... I didn't open it, just ran a cleaning rod through the barrel to get rid of any possible dirt from factory (there was none)... I would have opened it to look at the hop but they collected them back as soon as told them I wasn't going to use it...
@@kickingmustang OK. I have the problem that the screws are too weak. After two or three times of opening you can see that the allen key looses grip - the screws are getting f***ed. And that is a huge Problem because how can you clean a gbbr when the screws are so quickly done 😅 That is a huge flaw!
Knowing as much as I do about these, I'm not surprised at how bad it's performance is. Hopefully I'll be able to make some good upgrades for it in the coming months to pull it up to the standard it should have.
We also got the SSQ22 sent to us and we've had an absolute blast over 2 weekends playing with it. Just like Foxgreen we've had the gun sent to us for free but we've never had any money offered and they have no say what makes it into the video. To be exact - we've always pointed out several flaws in almost all our review videos on Novritsch products and they have never blinked and keep sending us review units. For anyone wondering about the payment - Kicking Mustang is in the top 0.1% of airsoft RUclipsr space and 4-figure deal would be perfectly reasonable for his reach but 99% of other reviewers have significantly smaller audiences and are not getting paid a dime for their reviews. And yes, there is an affiliate program that pays 5% of refferal order but from our experience it's pocket change. Having someone affiliated, obvously should disclose that this is an affiliate link but that doesn't mean they are getting paid for those posts. For anyone wondering, this is actually not a KC-02 rebrand but most likely a reworked version of A1A Raptor (which is based on KC-02 but is not the same). Out of the box the SSQ22 is definitely an upgrade compared to a stock KC-02 since it uses VSR buckings, VSR barrel with an improved TDC wheel and a piston that doesn't break during first game. From our experience the accuracy has been really good, almost on par with a fully upgraded SSG10 / SSG24. You have to give benefit of the doubt that it could be a faulty unit before going on and blasting the company. In no way they are perfect and they do have their fair share of QC issues.
On par with a fully upgraded ssg10? 😅 All Nov rifles are terrible and need to be fully upgraded so rather than buy a massively expensive shell then spend a lot of money fully upgrading just buy a cheapish shell and spend money fully upgrading therefore you'll end up with a better rifle than the so called out of the box high performance Nov claims all his rifles have!

@@DomENjoy based on your comments, I would guess you haven't watched a single video by us ;P And yes, it was consistently hitting around 60-70m targets at 1.5J which is limit in our country for all guns, including sniper rifles. Consistency towards last few meters was slightly less than what a tuned SSG10 at the same power output would reach.

I don't like fake reviews either, but I don't think you should have made this video. You accepted a prerelease sample that novritsch sent to you for the sole purpose of making an advertisement. You later retracted your acceptance and sent the sample back. All of this is ok. The part that is not okay is you took advantage of this opportunity and made a different video and released it before novritsch intended for videos to be dispersed. It's a good think to make negative videos, but I think you are in the wrong with this one. If you waited for the release date or purchased one yourself, I would be in your favor. Just not this time stang.

Haven't really been a fan of your content but I can appreciate the honesty considering it was supposed to be a sponsorship. Was quite interested in the gun but now I'll just get a KC-02 and upgrade it myself
What? I have one. Never jamed once. But one time the foam in the silencer moved after I dropped the gun and than the foam caust a jam in the silencer. I feel sorry for you, because it sucks to have an unreliable product. I am glad my SSX23 and 303s (I have two) work fine. But generally speaking, I would always prefer AEGs or HPA. The cooldown sucks and the temperature dependency also.
So here's my issue. The reason Nov products became a must buy was for out of the box performance. It was always. Buy it, load it, have fun. If I wanted to tweak and play around with internals. I'd have bought the ASG or Evike MK23. When I emailed Novritsch Co. About my jamming issues. Their solution was to buy the new and improved magazines and top down center plate. In contrast, when I had issues with my Wolverine Bolt M, they sent me replacement o-rings for free because new products aren't supposed to fail. Consumers are not beta testers. I've since learned to wait a year before buying Nov products because the first run quality is junk and they leave early adopters footing the bill for fixed parts
We need more honesty on RUclips a out products. So thank you for doing this. I personally have run Novritches ssg90 for over an gear now as my primary replika and it just works, so I trust him, but this doesn't look to good. Hopefully they fix this and send new parts for free out to those who buy this, like Silverback did with the tac-41's feeding ramp.
I dont know.. for exaple i get SSP5 like others influencers and i still playiing with it becouse is really good pistol for that price … but as for this ggb I don't know what to think, I have to test it myself. Maybe our opinions agree, maybe not

I have 5 Novritsch guns (2 AEPs and 3NBBs) and I had to send only one back, because one HopUp TDC wheel didn't went well. I am very happy with them. More than with other brands. But I have no interest in GBBs. I kinda expected the Unreliability of the GBB rifle. The GBB system in general is to inconsistent compared to AEGs and HPAs.

This was great. Game plays are not reviews. Nice to have someone take the (boring) time to actually review rather than just play. Shows the consistency or inconsistency of the gun was well as accuracy and other positives or negatives (ex. gas mags leaking). You can't get the in-depth info from watching an edited game play video.
Maybe you stop deleting others comments... My sample have also problems with power and the hopup adjustement screw is too short. Can only hop 0.36g at max pressure.

Fair play to you for refusing the contract as the product was substandard. I like the fact that Novritsch are developing new designs outside the conventional box, but they seem to have put themselves on a pedestal after the success of their pistols, which early isn't reflected in this RIF. Nice one KM!
Can you explain what is new design on rebranding existing stuff? And buying mapleleaf stocks for a2 and a3 is not new design. Plus heavy upgraded highcapas are existing for since ever.
Best giggle factor in GBB recoil- the GHK PDW. Had one back in the day. Those two dummy short stroke pistons above the barrel were spring loaded and made the world's most satisfying "pink" noise on every shot. Had to be the most reliable GBB rifle I ever used. I don't recall it ever having an issue.
Thanks for not selling out on poor quality for money. I purchased the novritsch l96 copy. Out of the box a whole joule higher than allowed. Tuned it down. Had similar consistency to what you just showed and jammed often. From a bolty. I threw it off a building. I wouldn't bully someone by reselling it.

Congratulations on the technical and accurate review. The big truth is, unlike other Novritsch products that come ready to use, this one seems to require some work or an update (if possible), to become effective... and that means more money, in a product that already It has a considerable price. In my country, we suffer from this type of paid advertising (nothing against fair sponsorships) that induces the crush of products that are beautiful on the outside and that promise to be innovative, but prove to be absolutely ineffective. it may just be me, but I don't assume this review was recorded more than half a year ago. And that can also be seen in the clothing that kicking-mustang wears. I myself live in the Netherlands and we have the same climate here as in the UK, so the temperature will be around 10-15 degrees Celsius. what finally struck me is that kicking mustang shoots here with green gas. (see 7:35 ) Which is totally not recommended for this temperature. I myself would have chosen red gas or black gas for this time a year. The very best at these temperatures would be HPA, but they are still developing the adapter for that. So i find this a very useless review because the weapon is not used as a GBBR should be used.
What about the grenade? I don’t use any in my games as of now, but like the idea of a reusable instead of single use. Obviously, if you can’t find it after you throw it, it is, essentially single use. I’ve found camo mags that I’ve dropped in the woods so hoping that wouldn’t be too much of an issue. In your very experienced opinion on the matter, worth a go or does the fact that you didn’t say anything at all about them speak loudly enough?
good review. but as a gbb user normal gas isnt the best with the current weather. propane is the best as it is more stable with alot less cooldown affect. you are using standard green gas witch is for tm pistols not a dmr as it needs the punch to keep the fps stable. i think with using all gasses available and doing a proper review of it it would show it in a better light
Thank you for your honesty KM, it is not very often you find people that tell the truth about a product. As for Novritsch I was a faithful supporter with the SSG24, buying not one but two of them, then came the discontinuation notice and to be honest it pissed me off, the speeches before the release of the SSG24 of being the only sniper rifle you will ever need and the hype around it was justified, but just like that the SSG10 replaces it, along come all the other products. Unfortunately Novritsch has become a product supplier instead of the sniper we used to follow. I am not a fan of GBB, I prefer bolt action and AEG, I have had too many GBB give me huge problems in the 14 years I have been playing airsoft, that been said, I do understand why you like GBB.

All TM is not available unless you import it and well our post office is under liquidation, all the post offices in my area have shut their doors, courier costs way too much so yeah screwed. Even your products from Empire Airsoft are a problem to get into this country.
Like the review but I think you should try it with co2 mags if it's cooler where you shot it the temp drops the more you shoot it as temp drops so does pressure/fps
That's the problem with GBB not hardwired to a tank. That's why i didn't go for the ssx303 i don't wanna carry a mini tank and wanted something more consistent.
I really appreciate your honest review. I wasnt looking to buy one to begin with but was curious about it as its listed on their website but I havent heard any hype about it. As you said the magazines pressure drops significantly and thats no good especially as the accuracy isnt consistant to begin with. I agree with you to not take the cash.On another side I have the ssx303 from novsritch . I think I got superb service . Novsritch and his team are at least trying hard to innovate in airsoft.The fact he sent you the rifle to test it is good news. Some companies wouldn't event go that far in terms of testing. I mean you could have done an honest review and play a bit with it and then say the truth like you just did.
As always you give a full review and test the product. And give an honest review. This is more than a lot of content creators do. Most reviews are just overview with other creators. Keep it up! As you mention paying a content creator to show stuff is ok but they have to tell us they are getting payed. Also i find reviews from creators who are getting payed hard to beleave. But if a creator uses a item in lets say a gameplay vid and gets payed but doesnt promote how great the item is im less worried.
A dirty barrel straight out the box does not sound a good endorsement-or likely true lol.i watched a few vids of same rifle by a few over the moon sorts who couldnt sound more pleased with it,which considering had not actualy fired it yet (supposedly) i found abit suss, and mustangs review both sounded more legit and accurate comparatively,so am glad i watched it. Am new to airsoft and still using an m4 variant i bought for 100 bucks 5 months ago,so am at the damn i wish i paid more for a decent accurate rifle stage and looking for accuracy and range over looks, and am so happy i watched mustangs vid while considering the Novritsch so that i can now discount it from my top 5 likely next rifle-thanks mustang! :) (on a side note,any respect may have as a vlogger would go out the window if took the money and pushed a sub standard product, so long term if intending stay respected, you defo did right thing turning it down imho as taking it and reccomending something your not happy with long term would lose you a lot more than you'd have made from accepting it))

Yes you did the right thing bc at the end of the day players old and new do take interest in products based off of your feel for the gun. Rather have an unbiased review to help when new products do come out bc lets face it this sport isn't cheap and that tends to turn some away.
I love every product I have purchased from Novritsch! I'm a little confuse, they sent it to you Pree release, why not offer some corrective criticism., or ask for another one to test! Obviously, it needs some tweaks! Thats the point sending it to you!!!!!!
having owned a kc02 and with over $500 usd in upgrades, the ssq22's performance is well within the normal for the platform, which is to say its subpar. if they're compatible i'd recommend trying one of the many hpa magwell adapters available to the platform to give it better fps consistency and maybe more kick, but even then it wont be worth it when you could buy any aeg and get better performance
Mustang you should have used this with the recommended amo. Novritch made this to shoot different bbs. Also you kinda should have used this on a none windy day and used black Gass for more consistency.
Mate it was a right decision, this gun is weird especially for this price a bad performance even my stock well mb 44xx for 130 bucks could outplay this one

And this is why I watch this channel. I've been burned by too many influencers. Have an SSX23 that jams constantly so I never use it.
I nearly got caught with that too, luckily a TM MK23 went on sale and I scooped that up.
What? I have one. Never jamed once. But one time the foam in the silencer moved after I dropped the gun and than the foam caust a jam in the silencer. I feel sorry for you, because it sucks to have an unreliable product. I am glad my SSX23 and 303s (I have two) work fine. But generally speaking, I would always prefer AEGs or HPA. The cooldown sucks and the temperature dependency also.
Did you try notching out the mags? Mine had the issue but notching out the mag feed lips with a knife sorted the issue.
So here's my issue. The reason Nov products became a must buy was for out of the box performance. It was always. Buy it, load it, have fun. If I wanted to tweak and play around with internals. I'd have bought the ASG or Evike MK23. When I emailed Novritsch Co. About my jamming issues. Their solution was to buy the new and improved magazines and top down center plate. In contrast, when I had issues with my Wolverine Bolt M, they sent me replacement o-rings for free because new products aren't supposed to fail. Consumers are not beta testers. I've since learned to wait a year before buying Nov products because the first run quality is junk and they leave early adopters footing the bill for fixed parts
We need more honesty on RUclips a out products. So thank you for doing this. I personally have run Novritches ssg90 for over an gear now as my primary replika and it just works, so I trust him, but this doesn't look to good.
Hopefully they fix this and send new parts for free out to those who buy this, like Silverback did with the tac-41's feeding ramp.
I dont know.. for exaple i get SSP5 like others influencers and i still playiing with it becouse is really good pistol for that price …
but as for this ggb I don't know what to think, I have to test it myself. Maybe our opinions agree, maybe not

I have 5 Novritsch guns (2 AEPs and 3NBBs) and I had to send only one back, because one HopUp TDC wheel didn't went well. I am very happy with them. More than with other brands. But I have no interest in GBBs. I kinda expected the Unreliability of the GBB rifle. The GBB system in general is to inconsistent compared to AEGs and HPAs.

This was great. Game plays are not reviews. Nice to have someone take the (boring) time to actually review rather than just play. Shows the consistency or inconsistency of the gun was well as accuracy and other positives or negatives (ex. gas mags leaking). You can't get the in-depth info from watching an edited game play video.
Maybe you stop deleting others comments... My sample have also problems with power and the hopup adjustement screw is too short. Can only hop 0.36g at max pressure.

Fair play to you for refusing the contract as the product was substandard. I like the fact that Novritsch are developing new designs outside the conventional box, but they seem to have put themselves on a pedestal after the success of their pistols, which early isn't reflected in this RIF. Nice one KM!
Can you explain what is new design on rebranding existing stuff? And buying mapleleaf stocks for a2 and a3 is not new design. Plus heavy upgraded highcapas are existing for since ever.

Best giggle factor in GBB recoil- the GHK PDW. Had one back in the day. Those two dummy short stroke pistons above the barrel were spring loaded and made the world's most satisfying "pink" noise on every shot. Had to be the most reliable GBB rifle I ever used. I don't recall it ever having an issue.

Thanks for not selling out on poor quality for money. I purchased the novritsch l96 copy. Out of the box a whole joule higher than allowed. Tuned it down. Had similar consistency to what you just showed and jammed often. From a bolty. I threw it off a building. I wouldn't bully someone by reselling it.

Congratulations on the technical and accurate review. The big truth is, unlike other Novritsch products that come ready to use, this one seems to require some work or an update (if possible), to become effective... and that means more money, in a product that already It has a considerable price. In my country, we suffer from this type of paid advertising (nothing against fair sponsorships) that induces the crush of products that are beautiful on the outside and that promise to be innovative, but prove to be absolutely ineffective. it may just be me, but I don't assume this review was recorded more than half a year ago. And that can also be seen in the clothing that kicking-mustang wears. I myself live in the Netherlands and we have the same climate here as in the UK, so the temperature will be around 10-15 degrees Celsius. what finally struck me is that kicking mustang shoots here with green gas. (see 7:35 ) Which is totally not recommended for this temperature. I myself would have chosen red gas or black gas for this time a year. The very best at these temperatures would be HPA, but they are still developing the adapter for that. So i find this a very useless review because the weapon is not used as a GBBR should be used.

What about the grenade? I don’t use any in my games as of now, but like the idea of a reusable instead of single use. Obviously, if you can’t find it after you throw it, it is, essentially single use. I’ve found camo mags that I’ve dropped in the woods so hoping that wouldn’t be too much of an issue. In your very experienced opinion on the matter, worth a go or does the fact that you didn’t say anything at all about them speak loudly enough?

but as a gbb user normal gas isnt the best with the current weather. propane is the best as it is more stable with alot less cooldown affect. you are using standard green gas witch is for tm pistols not a dmr as it needs the punch to keep the fps stable. i think with using all gasses available and doing a proper review of it it would show it in a better light
Thank you for your honesty KM, it is not very often you find people that tell the truth about a product. As for Novritsch I was a faithful supporter with the SSG24, buying not one but two of them, then came the discontinuation notice and to be honest it pissed me off, the speeches before the release of the SSG24 of being the only sniper rifle you will ever need and the hype around it was justified, but just like that the SSG10 replaces it, along come all the other products. Unfortunately Novritsch has become a product supplier instead of the sniper we used to follow.
I am not a fan of GBB, I prefer bolt action and AEG, I have had too many GBB give me huge problems in the 14 years I have been playing airsoft, that been said, I do understand why you like GBB.
Have you tried TM MWS or the new AKM? So good.

All TM is not available unless you import it and well our post office is under liquidation, all the post offices in my area have shut their doors, courier costs way too much so yeah screwed. Even your products from Empire Airsoft are a problem to get into this country.

Like the review but I think you should try it with co2 mags if it's cooler where you shot it the temp drops the more you shoot it as temp drops so does pressure/fps
That's the problem with GBB not hardwired to a tank. That's why i didn't go for the ssx303 i don't wanna carry a mini tank and wanted something more consistent.
I really appreciate your honest review. I wasnt looking to buy one to begin with but was curious about it as its listed on their website but I havent heard any hype about it. As you said the magazines pressure drops significantly and thats no good especially as the accuracy isnt consistant to begin with. Hopefully Novritch takes your constructive criticism and makes those inprovements to it. cheers!
I agree with you to not take the cash.On another side I have the ssx303 from novsritch . I think I got superb service . Novsritch and his team are at least trying hard to innovate in airsoft.The fact he sent you the rifle to test it is good news. Some companies wouldn't event go that far in terms of testing. I mean you could have done an honest review and play a bit with it and then say the truth like you just did.

As you mention paying a content creator to show stuff is ok but they have to tell us they are getting payed.
Also i find reviews from creators who are getting payed hard to beleave.
But if a creator uses a item in lets say a gameplay vid and gets payed but doesnt promote how great the item is im less worried.
A dirty barrel straight out the box does not sound a good endorsement-or likely true lol.i watched a few vids of same rifle by a few over the moon sorts who couldnt sound more pleased with it,which considering had not actualy fired it yet (supposedly) i found abit suss, and mustangs review both sounded more legit and accurate comparatively,so am glad i watched it. Am new to airsoft and still using an m4 variant i bought for 100 bucks 5 months ago,so am at the damn i wish i paid more for a decent accurate rifle stage and looking for accuracy and range over looks, and am so happy i watched mustangs vid while considering the Novritsch so that i can now discount it from my top 5 likely next rifle-thanks mustang! :) (on a side note,any respect may have as a vlogger would go out the window if took the money and pushed a sub standard product, so long term if intending stay respected, you defo did right thing turning it down imho as taking it and reccomending something your not happy with long term would lose you a lot more than you'd have made from accepting it))
I would wait to see what they do with the rifle before they start selling them, or what "gen2" parts come out. Also wondering if you did clean the barrel before shooting this? I think you did the right thing to not take the cash and upload this.

having owned a kc02 and with over $500 usd in upgrades, the ssq22's performance is well within the normal for the platform, which is to say its subpar. if they're compatible i'd recommend trying one of the many hpa magwell adapters available to the platform to give it better fps consistency and maybe more kick, but even then it wont be worth it when you could buy any aeg and get better performance

Can you turn this gun into HPA by changing the mags?
Mustang you should have used this with the recommended amo. Novritch made this to shoot different bbs. Also you kinda should have used this on a none windy day and used black Gass for more consistency.
