I've been dealing with RA for 15 years now. The #1 thing that has helped manage it is getting in the water and exercising, walking, and giving up white sugar, bread, rice, and pasta. I'm convinced this has helped me stay on the infant DMARD and off steroids.
Diet plays a huge part in management. Cut out added sugar minimize salt eat a whole food diet with lots of fruits and a wide variety of vegetables. I found that processed foods cause pain and I can't eat nightshade family or meat other than fish. Pay close attention to diet what bothers you will probably be specific to you. I really like the fact that you give simple stretches and exercises that can be done throughout the day. This approach is perfect for me. Due to my pain levels and all the activities related to the current holidays I’ve not been consistent. That said even the bit that I have been doing almost every day has already made a noticeable difference in my pain levels and flexibility. So a big Thank you to you both. 👍

Thanks fellas! Your videos are always helpful. I’m struggling with my RA, osteoarthritis and inflammation - which probably is largely dietary Brad!!! - so the a.m. routine is helpful. If you make an addendum, I also have previously broken facets on all thoracic and lumbar vertebrae that are arthritic so I’d love to see some morning stretches to carefully work on flexion and torsion without aggravating that area. Y’all are the best, really. Thank you!!

Thank you, but for me, there is one big snag, I need to race to the toilet as soon as I wake up, and then the dogs hear me and demand to be let out. But I will try to do some of the exercises when I’m up.

Dark chocolate with practically no sugar has antiinflammatory actions and elevates mood as well. Eat 1.6 ounces daily per Mayo clinic. Every day a holiday😊
How about excersizes for truckers? Ones that climb all over their trucks and load them for 8 hours then drive for 6!? Find a semi truck and show me what you got....I'm willing to use it as a gym ...since I do already. I do "situps" while driving and try to do " squats " also. For example I use my stomach and back to lean into steering wheel and back...I also lower my seat and just sit in the air until I get tired. Wait a few minutes and do it again.
How many times a week should should I go training to strengthen my knee muscles per week? What sort of recovery time do I need between sessions in the Gym??
It would depend on your body as well as the type of strengthening exercises you are doing. If there's weights involved, probably best to stay at least every other day.

Doing some during the night/glad of it cause/Lord knows I'm slacking during the day, chores getting alot of my energy "Hide the remote" get moving, when we worked we ran for the door daily, now we simply check to see if it's locked! Do you know if caffeine inhibits iron absorption?
Thanks for exercise routine. I have bone on bone in my knees and suffer with leg pain, tight calf and hamstring. I take magnesium, cycle swim and follow your exercises,roller etc. is it from the knees. I also have bursitis in the groin at the moment. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks
I'm getting a cortisone shot in hip. Just got my inc. Jan 3rd. Will get the shot hip arthritis cant walk without my cane IF I DONT GET MY SURGERY IN A FEW MONTHS 8M GONNA HAVE A FACE TO FACE CONVERSATION WITH AN AMTRAC. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN I CANT TALKING ABOUT. LIFES NOT LIVING WITH THIS PAIN
ask yr dr for some indomethacin, it's like strong ibuprofen. I was on it for years, only a low dose. Now I take high doses of omega three fatty acids, that helps. Good luck. I've had chronic pain from arthritis, degenerative spine disease and fibromyalgia for 30 years now. every day it's hell.
Don't say that, there is always something that can help. First, you need to take care of your mental status. Here is a link to our channel with all our hip videos on it.
