Bob & Brad, have been watching you videos for 3 years now love it, very helpful with my TKA recovery Now my PT was too aggressive, demanding 30 reps of exercises ,although I was telling me it’s very painful burning, he wouldn’t care I injured my quad,it’s third day,it’s bruising now. So painful with any movement, flexing, walking. Do I need to go to ER? I am elderly also 5 wks post TKA with MI & stent
I used a butter knife the round handle part and oil and scrap the scar tissue. My quad tendinitis is in the chronic phase so there’s not a can do to stop the pain but my method allows me to lessen it and maintain mobility. You essentially have to loosen up those adhesions. Otherwise that tendon starts to resemble a cold old rubber band, which leads to snap city my friends.
Which massager are u using on the quadriceps tendon, in your video? Your $89.99 model? Or your $139.99 model? And, is your Amazon discount code good for all models? Btw...that discount code does NOT work. 😞
I’ve had hip impingement surgery and hip avulsion fracture surgery back in 2021, I did some physical therapy but my rectus femoris still seems to be weak. I’ve tried laser therapy, cupping and scrapping but it only gives me a temporary relief. It hurts when I sprint and squat. Left leg feels 100% and my right leg feels 70%.
Yes.This video is for Quadriceps Tendinosis only.😊 *Note: "Tendonitis" means inflammation of tendon in acute condition (recent injury) And, Tendinosis is the Cronic condition (which is from a long time. An injury in the tendon which is persisting and reuccring) So in this video Bob and Brad is exactly addressing that issue😊 Thank you.

The tendon is getting stronger. That's normal, especially after injuries because it got weaker. I've did bodybuilding for quite a few years and now i switched to football. My quad tendon hurts like hell sometimes, especially after long training sessions. Because i never did those moves. I'm used to squat heavy and do classic bodybuilding exercises, but never did quick change of directions. Just let it rest and work on it
I had minor tendonitis, went to pt just to get myself ready for a 5k. Two Mondays ago, pt had me do a quad stretch, squats etc. I’ve been limping ever since. I think I strained my quad. I have a tense feeling in my knee, had swelling, felt like bruising around my knee. Had an MRI, said minimal tendonitis. So I really think everything is caused by this quad. How long do you limp with a strain. It’s been two weeks and two days

I have tendonitis in my back thighs and my physical therapist, who specializes in sports injuries of the lower body, said that tendons dont like massage and I need to increase the threshold at which my tendons start to hurt. I have tried taking breaks from running, massaging with foam roller, putting on cold with raised legs. Nothing has worked for me and I've had this pain for a year already.
Spendvwith both feet about 2 t 3 feet from Wall and using your arm then lean your hip towards the wall stretching the hip am and piriformis along w glutes that eventually starts to heal the IT band. ThE IT is a tough tendon that probably doesn't stretch muchbwhichbis why we need to stretch massage the muscles attached to it from the hips glutes to the knee. I tried this the the first at wirk last night and I felt relief. Keep doing this w massage ice and and warmth in between and we'll be better til its ALL GONE!! 🙏🙋❤😊

Will work on the repaired leg once out of support cast,
Almost instant relief. Thanks guys
Glad it helped!
Wow this is good. So helpful. And thankfully I do have a top-tier massage gun. Never knew swimming could be so dangerous.
I've been dealing with this since 2015 from a military and never knew what was going on. Getting a MRI to make sure. I'm 27 and its too the point that I can't extend my leg more than 5 times without it my leg quiting on me and getting extreme pain.
Happening to me right now and I can't stand it. Woke up in the morning and hasn't went away. Stressing now.
Thank you so much for this video. I already feel better.
Last night when I finished running on the treadmill I felt this pain above my knee pain and I couldn’t bend my knee 100% because it’s painful. Gonna do this although I’ll appointment with a doctor in a few days
Is it okay now ?
Thank you guys so much for this awesome help. I am going to try this as soon as I get home. However, is this going to help me if I have feel pain in my vastus leteralus right where my knee start on my left side?
Bob & Brad, have been watching you videos for 3 years now love it, very helpful with my TKA recovery
Now my PT was too aggressive, demanding 30 reps of exercises ,although I was telling me it’s very painful burning, he wouldn’t care
I injured my quad,it’s third day,it’s bruising now. So painful with any movement, flexing, walking. Do I need to go to ER? I am elderly also 5 wks post TKA with MI & stent
Legends. Better than guy I saw today lmao.
This actually works thank you.
I used a butter knife the round handle part and oil and scrap the scar tissue. My quad tendinitis is in the chronic phase so there’s not a can do to stop the pain but my method allows me to lessen it and maintain mobility. You essentially have to loosen up those adhesions. Otherwise that tendon starts to resemble a cold old rubber band, which leads to snap city my friends.
thanku sir.. your voice is my positive affirmation ❤❤❤❤
Suffer for quite long time. I hope this helps🥺🙏🏻
whenever i do squats, lunges, etc. right above my knee starts to burn and it gets gradually more painful the more i do them. is this tendonitis?
Gonna try this with my massage gun. Ive been going too hard on leg press and squats
Which massager are u using on the quadriceps tendon, in your video? Your $89.99 model? Or your $139.99 model? And, is your Amazon discount code good for all models? Btw...that discount code does NOT work. 😞
Any tips on preventing reoccurance?
Gosto muito das explicações de vcs.. coloquem legendas em português nos vídeos. Assim mais pessoas poderão aprender com vcs. Obrigada! 👍
I checked your massage gun on amazon ( india) and it's so expensive!
So what basic thing should I look in a massage gun for quadriceps massage?
I just had a partial quadriceps tendon tear. Sucks. Thanks for the info.
In the same boat Jean. Just happened to me. May I ask how you recovered from it? Did you have surgery? I’m afraid my runnings days are over.
I still got a lump in my quad 5 years later lmao, find it hard to grow muscle on the leg and left leg without tear is noticably bigger.

Great job !
What about behind the knee pain? I'm assuming that is hammy related? Is there a massage for that?
Here are some videos that you might want to watch on this: www.youtube.com/@BobandBrad/search?query=behind%20the%20knee%20pain
ruined my quads 2 days before belt advancement testing smh I'm ready to start repairing
thanks this helped me with the hands
I’ve had hip impingement surgery and hip avulsion fracture surgery back in 2021, I did some physical therapy but my rectus femoris still seems to be weak. I’ve tried laser therapy, cupping and scrapping but it only gives me a temporary relief. It hurts when I sprint and squat. Left leg feels 100% and my right leg feels 70%.
Would this show up on an MRI?
Man I’ve had this for ten years now, I hope I can finally move on from it after a few months of this
Thanks guys
You are very welcome.
Thank you Bob & Brad! Are the treatments the same for quadricep “tendinosis?”
Yes.This video is for Quadriceps Tendinosis only.😊
*Note: "Tendonitis" means inflammation of tendon in acute condition (recent injury) And,
Tendinosis is the Cronic condition (which is from a long time. An injury in the tendon which is persisting and reuccring)
So in this video Bob and Brad is exactly addressing that issue😊
Thank you.
I’m in week 5 of ACL reconstruction surgery recovery and developed tendinitis in my quadricep on the affected leg, gotta say it hurts pretty bad whenever I move, feels like a sharp rip.
Just let it rest and work on it
get well soon bro
I had minor tendonitis, went to pt just to get myself ready for a 5k. Two Mondays ago, pt had me do a quad stretch, squats etc. I’ve been limping ever since. I think I strained my quad. I have a tense feeling in my knee, had swelling, felt like bruising around my knee. Had an MRI, said minimal tendonitis. So I really think everything is caused by this quad. How long do you limp with a strain. It’s been two weeks and two days
I'm still in pain after thee weeks. I seriously think I should make an appointment tomorrow for orthopedics
Yup felt I had tendonitis in both thighs..knees didn't hurt mid range to groin hurt..stress from walker..lifted handle bars up higher( drilled ) walk more upright..while watching u guys do ur info.i hung one leg over side of bed then other.then I hung both..I found sumthin interesting..hmm ..my right toe could touch the rug. when I tried my left toe ,couldn't.if I backed left foot up inch or two my left toe would touch rug ..hmm that's another fine mess u gotten me into Stanley ..😭 crying I'm sorry .. No now I remember knees did bother me..took gluclosamin..helped as did decades ago
Does this cause bad knee flexion
I have tendonitis in my back thighs and my physical therapist, who specializes in sports injuries of the lower body, said that tendons dont like massage and I need to increase the threshold at which my tendons start to hurt. I have tried taking breaks from running, massaging with foam roller, putting on cold with raised legs. Nothing has worked for me and I've had this pain for a year already.
Will this treatment work well for old scar tissue?
Do you guys have a video on how to tape Quadricep tendinopathy?
I like these guy. Thanks
We can also use a tennis ball on the floor?
Should a knee brace be used at all?
I tore my quad tendon in 2 places had surgery 3 months ago its a long journey.
Thanks for this! Seems to be helping. My leg is killing me from top of knee all the way to the side of my hip
Sounds like an IT band issue. Not quad tendon.
I have pain in inside of thigh and on knee cap 🥺🥺 how many days does it take to heal
