I've wanted to get this in my hands for some time as I think it has a lot of positives. This mess kit includes a plate, bowl, spoon / knife, fork that combines into the eco switch spork, and tether.
It is made from certified food-grade recycled materials featuring a locking lid and leak-resistant seal. It weighs in at 9 ounces or 255 grams and is made of BPA-free, recycled polypropylene and silicone. It is also dishwasher-safe and microwavable.

I've been thinking about picking up the 4 piece mess kit. Looks to be about the same size w/out the silicone seal and the clips and it has a double ended spoon/fork combo instead of the separate fork & poon. I'm not sure if it would be big enough to fix DIY backpacking meals in like a pack of mashed potato and spam/jerky or a knorr rice/pasta pack. Haven't seen one in a store yet. Just online.
I wonder if that is the previous version. I've watch a bunch of reviews from years ago and it often looked like it was similar but made with different materials and a different spork setup...
@@AndyParrishOutdoors the 4 piece set is not an eco model, so probably a previous version.
I like that they added the locks. I have an older one with just the tether, but found the tether doesn't apply enough pressure for it to actually be spill resistant.
Edit: Some feed back on the actual video. I think you should get a dedicated filming light. Your lighting shifts a lot, and it's hard to see the details on the mess kit when you're holding it because it's a dark colour and in shadow the whole time.
Yeah, I noticed that on the reviews of the older model. It seems like a solid way to address that issue.
But.....is it bear proof? Lol. Jokes aside, it looks like a nice, solid kit.
