How much money do you need for parts to build a V10 for S8 ?

Finally all I needed has arrived for the V10 engine. Start putting it back together and straight away the WRONG part ... But luckily OEM parts saved the day again. Managed to build it in a few days and it's ready to be sent to the USA. Question is how much does it cost ?

No labor is a very generous offering on your behalf. It’s crazy that in the USA no one was willing or capable of doing this job . This says a lot about your company and work ethic.
It says alot about american mechanics. Engines made in usa are easy to work on and they always strguggle with European cars

There's plenty of euro shops in USA that can do it.

depends on if the van you're buying the parts out of has "free candy" on the side of it...🤔 If you want it done right and care what goes in a particular location...a lot. Definitely a neat process to watch. What type of oil do you prefer - Resource Conserving (RC) or non-RC (stays in grade better at higher temps

great mechanic indeed…you’re one of the few using plastic gauge, a very nice way to check the tolerances…please, let’s know how this engine will run from usa.
I'm loving this build, it's so great to see you help a guy keep his dream motor alive for the next 10 years fingers crossed.
As these big engine parts become less available maybe now is the time to do this work while it is still possible to get the parts?

Audi has designed this engine to fit the size of their V8 otherwise it would have been too long to fit the interior of the engine bay. The problem is that the cylinders are overheating slowly the cylinders become oval … Pros now use ceramic oil with high lubrication specs and increased properties to diffuse heat.

Hi guys hope you are doing well if I may ask what is the name of the torque wrench which you are using.
My brother and i are in the USA and having trouble finding valve cover gaskets for his 2011 S6 Canada spec. I was only able to locate 1 bank but the other bank is only avalible with the valve cover for
$1200 US. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love the videos keep it up.

Dude, I'm scared everytime you talk about this engine and the costs. After last video I went to buy 10 sparks and 10 coils for my S8 just to fell better about the engine. Maybe I'll do the oil too.

Have we had the rotating assembly balanced? V-10 high RPM and all.
No , stock engine , if we change part for forged ( different weight ) than it’s going for balancing

Not sure I would be running such large crank tolerance. Yes they are within spec but yours are more as if bedded in spec. Once ran in will be wee bit loose.
@ 0.39 of a mill, which is only 0.01 thousandth of an inch, a bug dick width. its not going to be a problem, plus he uses slightly thicker oil than recommended, which will keep it lubed well

Here is no point to put same connecting rod in place
This is an Audi Engine. NOT a Lamborghini Engine.
They now share many of the same engines R8 and Hurricane I believe share now.
