All Might telling Deku to stop crying isn't in the sub. Just one of the many better lines in the dub.

Actualy it makes sense for him to say it cause he does infact state later that Izuku cries too much. He just says it sooner in The Dub
all the good lines gained from the dub are negated by all the shitty lines the dub changes.
I've seen both the sub and the dub. The dub is better, Especially for people who speak English and don't speak Japanese. This guy's parents would have quit the show by now if it was in Japanese.

He's a pretty critical and sarcastic guy. He is definitely not the type of guy to get emotional, that comes with 20 years as a Police Officer and 5 years as a Major Crimes Police Investigator. Hopefully he'll get on board the train! Thank you for subscribing too!
yeah, I'm kind of the same with the cliche'd anime whiny protagonists, but I love how much Deku changes and actually becomes bad ass, can't wait to see his reaction to the season two Deku.
He's a tough guy but i feel like he'll be impressed by the emotional depth of the show

Just discovered these vids, and I gotta say they are great. I always wondered how parents would react to anime, and I believe they can enjoy it if they take their time. Since they have been around longer, they might think they have seen it all, and brush off anime. So, thanks to your parents and you for uploading these.
Also, not sure if your parents are Star Wars fans, but the creator of My Hero Academia is one, and he names cities after Star Wars planets sometimes. And Im sure Midoriya carrying All Might during his training was a nod towards how Luke, during his training, carried Yoda.
And thank you for watching! Yeah, it's more of a "cultural shock" than anything else. You're pretty much right though, on everything else.

The next episode should be up today at around 1200-1300 Hours(EST), if not then a little later. From my point of view, it's more interesting than anything else. I'm not a big anime fan, I mean I like it but I'm very picky. And yeah, she'll always root for the underdog lol.

Does the version that they watch have the translation for the Japanese characters on the screen (I.E. the title screen, the ‘“didn’t actualy talk” joke). I noticed the one in this video didn’t have it. I think it would be easier for your parents to understand if it did.

For some reason Vrv.co(which is where I'm streaming this from) doesn't display the Japanese translations. I'm looking to just buy the entire thing from Amazon or something at this point. It's seriously starting to piss me off. If you have any recommendations on where to buy this from, lemme' know.

Watching them watch my hero mad me realise there was foreshadowing in the third ep towards the connection of ofa holders and afo why would All Mights shirt lift up to show his ingury in the episode if it wasn't to forshadow afo and that by giving him that power it foreshadows that Izuku will have to fight someone that might A take his life or B hurt him serverly when they fight.
I like the metaphor the Beach has for Deku.

Yeah, he's not the most animated type of person. Once he starts getting into something, he actually starts getting more involved. Which means he's actually liking the show enough to have an open opinion on.

And I think Deku calls him Kacchan cause his first name is Katsuki and you take the "Ka" from is and add "chan" and then it just became a nickname. That just my guess though. Probably a different reason for it.
Ok this seriously pisses me off. Why do they NEVER Ad at least some subs in the dub to The texts that gets attention in The show. EVERY FREAKING TIME you even get a Full screen of japanese for impact & I 'm always left thinking "Cool guess this is mega important.... too bad I cant fucking read it" seriously what is it with that shit?! =_=
Apparently Vrv.co does it. It pisses me off too because hell if I know Japanese, I barely watch the stuff to begin with. I'm switching to Funimation's actual BluRay as soon as it gets here. Hopefully that'll give them some context.
