  • Buy the Viltrox 56mm f1.4 : amzn.to/3fodrba
    Probably not the best POV, but I wanted to go out and test the Viltrox 56mm f1.4 with the #CanonM50 for street photography before. making my review about the lens.
    Despite some minor issues, the lens is a great #streetphotography prime lens for the Canon EOS M mount and feels really well built and I'll be testing it in low light very soon.

    Thank for responding to our questions, that too in depth. Those tips were really helpful... Street photography is the first thing I'll try once this lockdown ends.

    love the photos, especially the colouring! (so jealous of anyone who can crouch down without falling over, & then get up without doing a full scale comedy performance!) 🤣🤣🤣

    I really appreciate this POV. I've been going back and forth the past couple weeks on whether I should get this lens or get the 50-200 zoom lens that canon makes for the EF-M mount. I do photoethnography as part of my university research, and so I'm often taking pictures of people in the midst of doing things. Though, I love the portrait effect this lens gets compared to the 50-200 lenses. Seeing how close/far you are from subjects to get certain shots is VERY helpful for me in deciding which lens works for my needs.

    For some odd reason I have the same exact lens but it will not focus anywhere near as far as yours does. I literally have to be within 2 feet of the subject. Any idea of what I’m doing wrong?

      High speed continuous mode. Hit the ‘Q’ at the top-right of the screen, you can select single shot, low speed continuous or high speed continuous

      What aperture is on your lens? There’s an aperture ring, make sure to put it on A (for auto)

  • @ryandhikanugraha7474
    @ryandhikanugraha7474 5 месяцев назад

    1.4 is a bokeh lens, if you want to test it then the resulting photos are human portraits or close ups of anything on the street. Because you are too far away when taking the photo, the distance of the object you display is less clear. You can move closer so that the quality of the bokeh lens is more pronounced.

    • @Tvennet
      @Tvennet  5 месяцев назад +1

      The 1.4 aperture is made for having a faster shutter speed, not only background blur.

    • @ryandhikanugraha7474
      @ryandhikanugraha7474 5 месяцев назад

      @@Tvennet true....
      but it's better if you buy a 1.4 lens, then what you should show off more are photos with 1.4 open wide quality.

    • @Tvennet
      @Tvennet  5 месяцев назад

      @ryandhikanugraha7474 which I did. And I told the truth: at 1.4 it’s not sharp, with a lot of chromatic aberration. There’s an entire video dedicated on the review of the lens 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@Tvennet that’s great man thanks, but yeah I’d prefer maybe the m50 photos because its dynamic range is different from other cameras… I believe. I’d like to see how much of a limit you can push and pull from highlights and shadows from the m50 photos.

      It’s from Amazon. It’s just a plastic bag with a little zip tie for the lens. They come in packs of two.

    Is f/1.4 that bad on this lens, that you stuck at f/2.0 for whole session?

    • @Tvennet
      @Tvennet  3 года назад

      I’m impressed someone actually noticed.
      At f1.4, it’s really super soft in fact. Like...the images are sharp but with some gloomy effect that it looked not really sharp...I’ll show in the review with a real example.

      You mean “looking like a full frame 50mm” ? If that’s what you’re looking for, then I’ll always go for a Sigma 30mm on Apsc cameras. For a budget alternative the canon 32 or the viltrox 33mm.
