@@ChristopherBrown-mq1lg thank you! Oh ya I really lucked out finding that one! Plus I think I polished it too and that really gave it a nice shine and deepened up the color.
I just found your channel and am amaized at your colection. It must have taken many years to acquire this beautiful rare colection. Like your 1964, I too have one that I love. Its an immaculate early 1965 mighty dump. in almost perfect condition that i purched 10 years ago. I also have something that you may have never seen. Back in 1969-70, Tonka sold a flat of Mighty equipment including an earthmover, loader, and dump truck, also included was a Tonka hard hat, all for $19.98 I built the identical flat and over the years acquired all 1970 equipment for it. Each one is in excellent condition, I even found a rare 1970 hardhat to complete the flat. This thing is truely awsome and it may be the only one in existance.
@@keglover-x4i hi thanks for watching! I appreciate it! Believe it or not I only began collecting less than 2 years ago. It was never my intention but then I fell in love with the toys and the collector community and just kept going. Then I began helping others identify their toys with the catalogs I acquired and that’s when I started this channel one year ago. It’s been so fun and I’m still in awe over the amount of people who watch my videos. Just last week someone shared a mint in box construction set from 1972 with a mighty dump, loader, hard hat and load master. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Completely untouched. I’m always amazed at the toys that turn up that have just been forgotten by time. Crazy!
@@RABSTRAINS yes!!!! That’s so much! I can’t believe it! There are a bunch more garbage truck versions for me to find still. The older ones and the 78 can bring a pretty good buck. I’m always trying to sniff out a good deal hahaha some day
@@keglover-x4i cool! The ones that say “Earth Mover” are actually pretty hard to find. They are from 74 and 75 the last years of production for the scraper
This is not the one I have. My set can be seen in the 1970 Tonka Lookbook, botton of page, No. 4000 Mighty Tonka Construction Set, It consists of a 28" long scraper, dump truck, loader, and hard hat , all on a construction platform that I have reproduced along with all 1970 equipment , each in excellent condition. It sold back then for $19.98 (also in the1969 Look Book ) I,m extremely proud of this rare set. I,ve never seen another one. I,m 72 and have operated heavy equipment , large dump trucks, and semi trucks over the years. I,m totally amaised at your collection of only two years. Beautiful !
Awsome ... thanks for your reply. I am amaized that there is a factory untouched construction set out there ! Would it be possible to include a picture of that set on your next vid ? Us Tonka heads love this stuff.
@@jaredn5804 I’ve never really looked into it. The metal may be different behind the bumpers. I’ll have to look into that. I’ve seen some pretty cool customs so I’d say anything is possible. Not sure if it’s a simple swap out but I’m sure it can be done one way or another.
@@mightytonkamadness I would be more willing to get into the newer turbines if I could swap out the grills for the older style. That's why I was wondering. Love the yellow flatbed!
The Red Mixer looks super clean for its age 👍 Great Video!
