Well done, I subscribed! I like how the rear axle holes are oblong in shape from the factory to allow the axles to move up and down and give the truck some suspension.
thank u i have no idea what retrobright is......but i still have that winshield.i will look online what is it i know use peroxide or uv lights will do something, but it will take long time
@@DANYMITERESTORATION I myself haven't really tried it yet due to the fact I really don't have anything like that to try it out. Some guys get bleaching cream and use that instead if hydrogen peroxide and it works great. I am chopping at the bit to try it too. Btw you can only get the cream at beauty supply stores not normal retail stores I found out looking for a supplier.
@@DANYMITERESTORATION You can use similar techniques on the white wheel inserts if they are discolored as well. It's better than painting them. But if they rotten, obviously nothing is going to help. They have to be replaced. And I've seen people using polishing wheels on parts like the windshield as well. I think it's a little more abrasive than simple rubbing polish on. But take a look at other restorers do, and you can learn some more tricks of the trade.
Gregory - those are so bad that would be otherwise left for trash and I like that we give them another life - may be noc collectible but definitely ready to be played with:) I appreciate you having a look and your kind comments.
Looks good just in opinion I powder coat mine heavy 60-80 grit and stay away from it while blasting and it smooths out just as good if not better than body filler and sanding
Thank you Marty - every new restoration I learn something new and aim to improve. Most importantly I love to bring things back from trash. I appreciate your comment and subscription!
Definitely on this one - not possible to repair. Inmost cases I try to bleach it under UV, I also tried 12% peroxide but it does not always work. I am always curious if there is more to do on these to try to save as much as possible.
@@DANYMITERESTORATION I've heard of that UV method. Sounds cool to me but I guess nothing to 100%. When you say UV do you mean artificial cuz I've heard some people using natural sunlight.
@@michaelparylak5649 Actually that is very interesting - I always use artificial but it is sunny in PA now and I will give it a try. Trying to find a method that works best is worth trying it. Thank you for the tip.

No problem I saw somebody doing with the ivory piano keys. Old toy piano. Seem to work pretty good from a video perspective.
@@michaelparylak5649 I am going to try to look for it - this is one of my pet peeves - will keep trying:)
