@@samwallaceart288 I don't know, I think I'd do at least a few weeks of that perfect day, and just mix things up a little bit and start different conversations or do different activities so it's all a slight variation of a great day. But yeah, eventually anyone would go full Groundhog Day, trying out absolutely anything just to experience something different. I think Edge of Tomorrow is a much tougher situation though - repeating the battle hundreds of times until you're perfect at it isn't so terrible, but it's a real problem that your save point is hours before the battle. Every attempt requires you to sit through hours of the same old crap. And worse, the fate of the world is on the line so you can't give up on it, AND the location doesn't give you the option to mix things up and have a casual relaxing day before shooting yourself and getting back to work. So to clarify, the death of an Alpha causes the Omega to reset the day. So while Cage was infected with the Alpha's blood his death triggered the Omega's instinct to reset. However, after losing the Alpha's blood and killing the Omega he got bathed in its blood instead, gaining the ability to reset the loop himself. That allowed him to choose a different moment to go back to, back to before he made the foolish decision to to blackmail the general and was still somewhat respected. And since the mimics tied to that Omega were now dead with it he no longer needed to worry about being sent to the frontlines, so naturally it would be a better future. At least until another Omega comes along to start another round of fighting, but hopefully the Mimics learned from this failure to leave Earth well alone. 😂 In summary Cage went from being the detonator of a timebomb to being the bomb itself, though I also like your analogy of it being a more violent Groundhog Day.
