As a nail tech the reason is to remove as much oil and dirt from the nail plate. If they don’t use some sort of astringent to clean the nails there is a possibility your nails will lift and not last as long. It’s the same way you would clean a surface before sticking something to it. They should apply some sort of replenishing treatment at the end such as cuticle oil ect. You should use cuticle oil everyday as a rule to keep nails and cuticles in tip top condition. 👌🏼💅

My concealer doesn’t crease when I use the primer I recommend it highly .. It’s 5 dlls comes in several varieties and it’s moisturizing for the undereye as it gently fills in any wrinkles and leaves the eye area a completely smooth canvas .. I then use a thin layer of Flower Beauty Light Illusion powder with a damp sponge and gently roll over my concealer to set 😍I order it online at Ulta ..

One of my favorite setting sprays is Bella Jade Botanicals, makeup setting spray. Zero alcohol, the ingredient list is water, rooibos leaf, white tea leaf, green tea, MSM, DMAE, sodium pca, and 2 preservatives at the end. All organic. Its so good!
OMG thank you for this video! I have been using that hack with the Charlotte Tilbury spray and it looks beautiful, but has been drying out my under eyes and my skin so badly. I am going to try the hourglass spray - I didn’t know there were any sprays without alcohol!
Unfortunately I have been doing this trick for some time and do notice my under eyes are dryer...I also use "Loreal sublime self tan spray" on my face for several years and I think that is drying my undereye as well 😬 but usually take a Qtip and wipe around the eye so most is removed...I will stop both these bad habits today!💗
Great info as always! I like to use the Avene thermal water spray as a setting spray. It really does a nice job of setting and getting away of any “powderiness” while being good for your skin at the same time! Have a great Christmas!

I thank you for contributing to my in skin care knowledge. I use ….Osmosis powder foundation. I’ve just started using the colorscience 3 in 1, It’s amazing and I don’t need concealer at all. Finally I’ve found something that doesn’t age my under eyes. It doesn’t dry out or crease and looks so good all day and I just lightly powder with my Pat McGrath under eye powder

I'm a tequila girl too, but that martini looks amazing! I never do concealer under my eyes - I'm 41 but I don' thave any discoloration under my eyes fortunately so there's nothing to conceal. I've tried doing it to see if maybe I'm missing out on something, but I find it just looks crusty on me.
Not to mention that setting sprays actually increase transepidermal water loss from the skin- so you have the alcohol and that combined that lead to dried out skin!
Glad to see a powder that doesn't have cornstarch in it. I'm allergic to corn products. Gives me red blotches & welts not pretty anywhere especially undereyes

Do you find certain under eye moisturizers cause it to crease worse? I moisturize twice daily and my under eyes are always so dry looking. No concealer works for me, they always make me look worse.
If you need it, then use them. This is more about not applying setting sprays to that area. You could also try a color corrector first, and then a concealer.
merry christmas..really wished you would have done an up close demonstration with concealer & setting spray & wear test with one eye the correct way & one eye the incorrect way, so we could actually see it..didn't really learn much

I love it when you said skin first then makeup it’s so true. I just turned 48 and about 2 years ago I got extra serious about my skin. I mean I’ve always been a sunscreen retin a junkie ever since I was 18 but when I got into doing my skin even more often I just use oil and my favorite tinted sunscreen by la roche porsay . I did check my settings spray and I the pixi glo mist doesn’t have alcohol and my skin always feels glows and moisturized. So maybe the glow ones are ok or maybe I just got lucky with my brand

So true. I put a tiny amount of concealer on occasionally but I try and stay away from makeup as much as I can cause i notice it clogs my pores etc.
