One of the first tricks I was taught was to use lip balm blot, line my lips, lipstick, blot, using that tissue as a buffer dust your lips with powder through the tissue, then apply another coat of lipstick

The first concealer “hack” works fine with alternative sponges, I’ve done this for a good couple of years! As I mature I am finding different ways to apply makeup and this is a technique that’s worked for me well. I’ve used the Nyx black sponge, the Huda sponge, the Rephr, even a couple of random unknown ones. I also use a brush to do it. It’s a dense concealer brush. I’ve done this with Huda beauty boss spray initially. I’ve done it with elf stay all night, urban decay etc. it must be a proper setting spray though, one with alcohol in the ingredients at the beginning ideally as those are the sprays that’ll get your makeup to last. The one size is literally hairspray I’m convinced of it 😂.

Hi just checking about the hack a

I feel like she used a lot of the setting spray on the sponge. Is that how much you use?

    • @Beauty-mad
      @Beauty-mad 7 дней назад +1

@@jessicarroman no, I use a couple of sprays, maybe 3 and wave it a couple of times to ensure it’s not wet, but rather just damp. So it doesn’t disrupt the concealer etc.

@@toohak6273 yes as long as it’s a proper setting spray not a facial mist or hydrating spray etc.

The last hack using concealer in the brow is just genius! If you go a bit too dark, this works so well, instead of wiping it off and starting over again. Love this video.

The best foundation applicators are the Silicone ones. No mess No fuss. Easy to wash, just run it under hot water with some handwash, dabb it dry with a towel and in the make- up bag it goes. What I love about the Silicone applicator's is that they carry NO bacteria at all.

I couldn't of asked for a better, well explained video. You've just save me a lot of money. I used a very cheap rose oil in a full coverage foundation, which always went crapey, it works it works!!! But also used setting spray in sponge. I think it all just worked out for me. I actually looked like me again. I thought I had aged a decade.

I’m going to do this tomorrow with my NARS radiant concealer and my CT setting spray.
Then I’ll try it again the day after with the same NARS concealer but with Barry M’s dewy setting spray - to see what the results are.
    Worth a try.
I set my foundation with a damp sponge of CT setting spray on lines on my face to stop the foundation from collecting there and settling in the lines. It works a treat. FYI - I use Paw Paw sponges and it all works.
Love your make up tips and tricks Nina.

I apply my make up with make up brushes and I find them better than beauty blenders too. It requires some technique to not get brush marks (little strokes instead of dragging your make up with the brush, for example), but the result is just as good with half the amount of product, because beauty blender soaks most of it.

I think the real techniques one is waaaaay better than the bb one. Hack to not waste ur foundation/concealer is stipple ur foundation with a flat top kabuki brush spray ur face with a setting spray give it 30 secs and go over ur face with the beauty sponge gives u a stunning finish. And ur base will not budge.

Rather than standing in the hot shower to get steamer to make your makeup look nice, why not just use face steamer? It’s much easier and also you don’t have to put it right up to your face and you can control how much steam it is released and how long you want to do it.

these are some of the most useful and ingenious hacks that I have heard! thank you so much! i would love for you to talk about BALANCE in your overall makeup look. for a while i have struggled to like lipstick on me. my mother thinks i need more color as i have light skin and almost white hair. the trouble is most lipsticks look too much for me as i am a petite person with dramatic hair, dark eyes, strong nose and full lips. i never wear eyeshadow as it makes me look too made up so only do my brows and lashes, skin tint and blush. recently i have gotten into lipsticks in lightest pink or peach which i think might be my answer. i notice in this video that you are wearing a lovely light pink. this color gives me more color without making me look like a clown. am i on the right track? no one seems to address balance. thanks ahead of time. i love your videos and your quiet demeanor.

Can you use a damp sponge to apply powder blush as well?

I'm surprised the 'Powdered Donut Lips' isn't a trend to walk around with now lol 😅

Great hacks! I had a thought about using the steam from the shower to soften your makeup look. Would a facial steamer work as well?

Yes! Or a clothes steamer works well too. I wear a shower cap to prevent hair from frizz. I have combo skin and I find the steam really helps especially when I use a matte long wear foundation. 😊

Nina pls do a tutorial for hyperpigmentation. I have melasma on my brown indian skin (a dull brown-grey patch) and no amount of pink/peach/orange color correction helps

She did a video with a Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer that covers hyperpigmentation, if I recall correctly.

@@valeriemittereder7429unfortunately it did not work for me. Could be that the color I picked up was not right but the grayish Brown pigmentation still peaked through

Omg I've done the shower trick...before you mentioned it in this video. I've done it to get a natural glowy look to my makeup but still keep it in place. Haha 🥰🤣
