- This is just part 2 of my OC guide, this goes a small bit more indepth with the process of overclocking your KS0, KS0 Pro, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS3M, KS3 miners. I am using the PBFarmer firmware with my personal KS0 Pro.
I HAVE A POOL NOW! lukewarmmining...
*EDIT* mV limit is 47mV
Sorry for Shit quality, Currently running on 3 hours of sleep last couple days
Also going over some upcoming features on the PBFarmer Firmare, answer your questions. Speaking of, if you have any, feel free to leave a comment or reach out to me on discord :)

To clarify a couple things... What everyone calls 'mosfets' is really a 'power stage', which contains a driver, and high and low side mosfets. The driver temp is what is being measured here (which includes a positive offset of 75), and has a suggested max operating temp of 125C, and an OT threshold of 130C (the high side mosfet could be ~150C at that point).
What IR seems to have disabled are the OCP and OVP protections - though I can't confirm that 100%, nor explain why they would do this.
The man the myth the legend, Dev PBFarmer
So it's possible to OC a little bit with the stock PSU that came with the KS0 Pro? I know it's not ideal but I'd like to try it out before I spend $40-50 on another PSU.
Is it possible? Yes. Only do it if you have a watt meter
Yes, I did it for a bit. I got up to about 220 Gh/s then stopped there and waited for the larger PSU to arrive. I had external fans blowing through the miner as well as on the PSU to be safe(r).
Bro, how to get safety 250-260ghz on ks0 pro?)
that all i need,
Stock everything? Push it up 100-150mhz and hope it stays stable with no voltage
I need some more help, which specific file are you updating on the KS0 Pro? I can't get any of mine to take pb!
Interesting, easiest thing would be to hmu over in the KAS discord
Question regarding airflow --- Which side is recommended to push air through the miner? The power side of the ethernet prot side? Is one side better than or more effective than the other? Thanks!
So, there is some debate on this (potentially going to squash this in an upcoming video), logically you would blow from the Ethernet side as the power stages are facing that side, allowing for cool air to be blown over it. For whatever reason, TS and others claimed that you need to cool from the power side. This does the make sense as the power stages are blocked by the chokes behind it, so they would not get adequate cooling.
I plan on testing this later today 😉
@@LukewarmMiner TY I would be interested in your results. I do plan on using 2 fans. One to push air in and the other to assist by pulling air out.
nice
Very nice
Is it possible to lower voltage for most efficient settings too?
Or is that what the base setting is aiming for already?
Yes, i find stability first and work my way down😊
yes, you can undervolt (and underclock). whether or not the machine will function properly with less voltage at stock clocks will of course vary from machine-to-machine
The latest version has power stage temp. Is that the temp that needs to be under 120 c? Mine showing 70 c….
Yes! Honestly keep it at 100, 125 is what it says but we have seen them burst into flames
I have a question about Kaspa KS0 Pro Overlock Settings.
My Chips, voltage and clocks are running great during the overclock. Even my Board Temp(in) is running at a great temp. The problem I am having is my "Board Temp(Out) is running around 79 (Sometimes get up to 81/82) degrees. Why would this board be the only thing running hot, when everything else is below 55 Degrees?
Is it the pads?
does it work on KS3M?
One of the most informative and useful explanations I've heard. We need more like this. Also, I've tried both and I think the PBFarmer OC software is definitely the best. Now to get someone to talk to you. Well that's another topic. LOL. Thanks. I will be watching your other video and doing the physical work after all. I do have the stronger power supply and the large fan as well as the ventilated sides with a fan blowing from intake to exhaust side. I wonder how far I can push her without damaging her while I wait for the equipment and shroud to maximize cooling.
which settings would you recommend for 340G? I have done 275mz and 32 mv as you previously recommended to me in another video and its stable at 300g but i would like to push it a little bit further
Push as far as you feel comfy. 40mv maybe?
But can you overclock it to 340gh
Yes
yo i do 36 mV and it drop down to 0hashrate, what should i do
seems like whatever settings i use i can only get to 250 on my pro then drops to 230 after a few hours, temps are at 80. do i Just have a lemon? I have 3 external fans added(one of the side, and an intake and exhaust)
Hmm, whatare your vrms at?
@@LukewarmMiner ive tried everything up to 32
Hello
Thanks for the video….
Do you have any experience of the optimum temperatures for the KS0 Pro with the board and the power amplifier?
Boards like running hotter but i keep mine under 80, updated info is 125 max sustained on power stage. Keep below 100 if possible but utu
@@LukewarmMinerThanks for the answer….
Ok… my temperatures are about 40 ℃ and 25 ℃ at about 320GH/s on board and 55-60 ℃ at Power Stage.
Should I reduce the fan speed to get the temperature higher at Power Stage or the colder, the better?
In part 1 you mentioned max 80 on exhaust temp, although you feel safe at around 65. You still think running max 80 stable is ok to where i can push my OC values?
Check chip temps, biggest issue is power stage temps
@@LukewarmMiner ok, so chip temp below 65?
Good job 👍
Thanks 👍
I was getting a .79% rejection rate is that normal? I see you are also getting some rejection
Lower is better, i woild consider that ok but ad some mv snd see if the rejected shares start to go away
