    • @GreaterGoodMining
      @GreaterGoodMining  3 месяца назад +1

      I would worry about something shorting out with that method, and you're adding an extra point of failure by thermal gluing two separate things together. It could be done though

    • @GreaterGoodMining

      Try to find copper heatsinks with the same footprint size and they should work too. The key is to dissipate the heat from the mosfets and have good concentrated airflow over them. I am going to be using PBFARMERS overclocks going forward because I want to get better at dialing in my own overclocks. Each machine is different because of silicon lottery. So it's best to dial in overclocks specifically for you machine and environment!

      For a newbie, starting off with $800 budget, wanting to learn about mining, what would you recommend?
      Thanks.

    • @GreaterGoodMining
      @GreaterGoodMining  3 месяца назад

      @05glisedan That's exciting, welcome to the crazy world of mining! The KS0 Pro is a great little miner to learn on because it is very easy to set up. I have full set up videos for the KS0 Pro if you decide to get one. The only problem with ASIC's is that you're locked into just that one algorithm and the hashrate is going up fast and rewards are dropping fast for Kaspa. It is harder to learn how to build a GPU rig, but it will be more versatile in the long run. The problem is it would be difficult to build a full GPU rig on an $800 budget and it might take a long time to ROI. I have an older video that's shows you the basics of how to build a GPU rig too. You could start by building the rig and focus on getting one really good GPU and then add more of those GPU's as the budget allows etc. Not financial advice, but if you're willing to put in the time to learn and you want flexibility in what coins to mine, I would choose to build a GPU rig. That's what I learned to mine on! Hope this helps!
