Changing the paste helped mine out big time...I find they keep around 400-425 gh/s more steadily. They dont swing up and down as much. But they do run at the same temps, just seems more stable.
HaHa thanks! I have to admit I was really hoping one of them would stand out and get batter hashrate. Oh well, perhaps another FAFO session is in order
@@D1g1tal_H1ppy sounds like the overclocks are a bit tricky this time around. As soon as they are available, I'll be doing FAFO sessions and videos on them!
I can do that too. I think running them overnight and checking the 3 hour average at the pool was a pretty good start. It really didn't seem to make a difference unfortunately
I have used copper shims + kapton tape + nail polish to protect everything but I had to put fans to 0% or the temps go lower than 60ºC and hashrate goes down to 320-340
I've already done that in previous videos. So far it seems like my Ultras are happier with no fan on top and the internal fans set to 50%. When I have them like that I usually get over 400gh
Yeah these things definitely prefer to run hot. The auto fan settings didn't seem to work as well for me so I just went ahead and set them to 40 for this testing. I also wanted the fan to lock in at a consistent rate for all 3 machines for testing purposes. Because if the fans are set to auto it kind of defeats the purpose of trying out the usb fan etc
@@GreaterGoodMining nope it kept the ip but I can no taccess the gui and the monitoring tool can see it but cant connect. i spoke with tswift and he said it can be fixed for a price and gave me a link to a dev but lol my telegram has some kind of ban on it where i cant message new people. I dont even use it so no idea how i got this issue lol
@k1e1v1i1n ohh I gotcha, so you tired to overclock it and it bricked because you tried to reset it while the init file was loaded into it without loading up the reset file? I can't help you unfortunately, you'll have e to go through whatever contact he gave you
Iceriver need heat no idea why , I can cool him 43c 35c and hashrate is 340gh after turne of fan spin to heat whole box to 57c 44c hashrate go up 409gh average 395gh after few hours , ridiculous need heat to work faster , heat = degradation electronic 😂😂 my second device will arrive but better buy 2x ka box pro 1.6th it works way stability way better
The heat seems to allow more efficiency in the chips. Heated metal allows electrons to flow more freely with less resistance. We miners don't like the heat, but unfortunately it is a part of mining! :] I do wish these things werent so picky though!!

Have you tried to FAFO with your KS0 Ultra yet? What results are you getting?!
@@GreaterGoodMining what’s FAFO?
@@NizmoMiner lol it mean "F*ck around and find out"
@@GreaterGoodMining lmfao 😂😂😂😂

you know for a fact I did the FAFO day 1 lmao. dont remove the hash boards hahaha

Thanks for doing the testing on the ultra. I was going to mod mine but it looks like I don't need to do it yet.
Yeah i think you're better off skipping mods for now. The one I left stock with fans at 40% seems to be the happiest of them all! lol
Really nice comparison, thanks for the greater good work :)

Informative and entertaining 🙂💯
@sadiesometimes1141 thanks for watching 👀 😀
Going to need to give updates several days / a week after

Yeah these things are picky and like warmer temps for sure
Thanks for the awesome video, I think I’ll leave mine alone for now.
@christopherrandle3085 yeah for now they seem happiest stock
Hey boss , can you run copper heat sink machine fans at 25-30 percent. You should exceed 400mhs and do a chip temp report ?
I've already done that in previous videos. So far it seems like my Ultras are happier with no fan on top and the internal fans set to 50%. When I have them like that I usually get over 400gh
Epic video
Thanks! I wish one of them would have stood out as the winner but it was worth a shot and I wanted to share the results with everyone :]
Did the Farmer Firmware works on this ultra?
Not yet
Which size copper mods are the correct ones?
The link to the exact ones are in the description of the video 😉
SUPER MECHAAA Kychuuu 🤣
Suupppaa mecha kaaaiju! Lolol
🤣🤣🤣
maibe try watercooling , should equalize the temps and you might be able to keep it closer to optimal temperature
I'm hearing that the new firmware should keep the temps in the range it needs to be in. I'll be trying out the firmware soon to verify.
Without setting the fan the chips stay at 75°

OK so I am one of the unlucky ones my ultra is no longer responding (no gui) I can still see it on the network anyone know how to flash it via usb ?
It probably just switched IP Addresses. Use the monitor tool and hit the ip report button to see if it changed.set static IP
