Brand new to Crypto and was very intrigued by the low cost of these and if they are worth it. It looks like people bought them all up and I don't see any under 700 dollars.
Curious to see what your profit numbers are after running this for about a month. And how does the modded ones compare to the stock one?
Not sure how accurate those calculator sites are, but one I looked at said it only generates 50 cents a day after electricity costs? That seems very low and not accurate.

Honestly profits are pretty low on these now. Goldshell dropped out miners on Kaspa network to go with Iceriver, Bitmain, and a few others. Network has become saturated. expect around a 90 cents USD earnings per day on these in the current climate pre electric. If you pay more than 500 for one of these, that is a very long ROI, and the hashrate keeps climbing. FYI, a stock does like 200ghs on 100w, a decent overclocked pro runs around 265-300ghs for around 50w increase.

23:20 This is not true, I used the 9x9x5 heatsinks. The 6x6x5 heatsinks are always out of stock, but the 9x9x5 sinks work actually better and do fit, they just hang over the edge of the mosfets. The 9x9x5 actually have better thermal dissipation because there's more copper to radiate heat.

i thought over 8mm would touch to be honest, but good to know. Yeah, more surface area always equals more heat dissipation. so smash as much copper on there as you can. Love it

i have a couple lemons of my group....2 of the 6 perform poorly on overclocks, bad silicon. they heat up quicker. I really am thinking of pulling apart and putting bigger heatsinks on now...i blame you

I used 7x7x6 Aluminum heatsinks, as they were more readily available to me. No issues with fitment, and they came with 3m adhesive pre-applied (no mess). Good to know that 9x9 will work too.
Technically speaking, aluminum dissipates heat faster than copper (the heat leaves the aluminum faster by way of airflow) and is actually ideal for this application. Copper transfers heat from the cip to the heatsink faster, but that heat sticks around in the heatsink mass for longer. I'm not sure if one will necessarily outperform the other due to this, but the aluminum definitely works!

Kas hashrate just keeps climbing. up to 230phs as of this moment. 1.68 th/s getting me only 72 kas per day or $8.64 in USD before electric as we speak. crazy growth
