    Thanks 4 the info, so far my first day testing it on 2 ks0 pro, my safe OC values are 250 Mhz (45 % increase from 550 Mhz base clock) and 28 mV, between 280 and 300 GH/s, no plates, fan at 100 %, 120 mm blowing towards the unit and a big fan blowing from the ethernet plate to the other side. Will 3d print a case soon but so far tems are between 47 and 51 on the chip, 52 on the exhaust and 29 on the intake. Board temps between 70 and 80. 230 v PSU. No readings yet on wattage.

    What is the reason for changing thermal paste on the down side? If I put this ks0 pro inside the refrigerator for mining. What harm could it have?

    • @LukewarmMiner
      @LukewarmMiner  3 месяца назад +1

      Poor thermal paste quality/application from the factory, anywhere from 5-20C difference in temp. Putting it in the fridge is not really advisable as the limit temperature wise really is the power stage/vrm.

    I have the updated pbfarmer software. I can see 3 board temps: intake, exhaust, and power stage. What is the power stage and what is a good temperature range for it? Mine is constantly in the mid to upper 70s and every once in a while it will spike to 85 and then go back to the mid to upper 70s. The other temps seem good (intake 25 and exhaust 47) and all of the chip temps are around 40

      At the time of release, tswift was still charging $20-40 for the overclock if memory serves me well. Pressure from PBfarmer releasing his firmware without mac address lock or paid service pushed them to remove any cost.

    a helium miner, costs 100usd used, and on a decent setup makes around 2 usd a day, 5w consumption, and people struggle so much with these that in 2 months are paper weights due to network diff not to speak about how much these cost. People make dumb choices in crypto..

    • @LukewarmMiner
      @LukewarmMiner  5 месяцев назад +3

      I doubt you are making $2/day. You are right, people should diversify, but remember to have a “decent” setup you need to: buy an 5-8dbi antenna($40), with lmr400 cable ($40) mounted to your roof($20) in a area with the right density of hotspots. I am rank 20k on hotspots gobally, so top 5 percent. I am earning .85/day. If you’re counting crankk, thats another 200-300 in licenses to make $2/day. Starting to look like the price of a ks0 pro for a used device.
      And thats with RECENT PRICE APPRECIATION, from $1.78 to 7.80ish. The last year or so we were in the .08-.20/day when i was ranked 13k.
      So really don’t know why you call it a ‘dumb choice’ when if you pay attention to heliuum foundation the biggest push is mobile, not iot. IoT will end up dying unless they find contracts.
      Go look in my post history, i had a video up on the Panther X2

    • @car.gems.
      @car.gems. 5 месяцев назад +1

      i have 2 hotspots at home, one making 1000 iot, other around 750. Simple setups, with 5m rg8 cable, one is a sensecap the other is a cotx. Anyway we are still far from the 50usd hnt price. And at the end of the day is a 100dollar raspberry pi. Not a 750 usd machine that gets useless as dfficulty rises

    by summer the ks0 pro's wont make profit. you will make more selling the miner to anyone still dumb enough to buy 1. You will be luck to pay for the upgraded parts needed. The Bitmain k3 is destroying these. Hashrate through the roof

      @@IIKings211 if you think its going to go up that much your far better off just buying Kas now @ $0.10 than running a ks0pro. By May these will be landfill. The rewards get cut each month reducing the amount of Kas you will mine and the hashrate is constatly increasing also reducing your mining reward.

      I can post my numbers if you would like me to here, I'm also active in the Kaspa Discord. Currently sitting at 320GH at 32mV Offset. 1% Dev fee going towards the Kaspa Development fund is better than paying 300 Kaspa for the same but as a canned tune with more voltage?
