This just came up on my feed. I've been viewing and researching van builds for two years now and I believe this is the best, most thought out, functional, and well designed build of the many , many hundreds of van builds I have viewed. Fantastic!

@@kaylaschregardus4062 Compost toilets have trays at the bottom that catches the waste. The trays usually have some wood chips or cat litter to avoid the smell and absorb the moisture. You can empty the remains in a trash bag and empty into a public waste bin/ rest room or at a campsite...no, it's not a holding tank. I hope that helped.
One of the main drawbacks of van life to me is the lack of comfort in most vans that I have seen. I mean in terms of a couch or comfy chair. So, I really love the couch you have made. It looks comfortable and I think I could live in that! I also love the division of space, the hall shower, and that screen door. Very creative and very well done!

We are getting asked A LOT about van cost and van plans, so here are those answers: 1) We just hired someone to draw up van plans for our van, they will be available in 30 days or so, so stay tuned... we will announce when they are ready on RUclips, so make sure you subscribe. 2) It was a VERY hectic time when we were building our van... working on our house to get it ready to sell, working full time jobs, preparing to retire from those jobs, selling our home, building the van on weekends, and selling everything we own... and all on a deadline! So, we did not track the cost of our build as well as we should have... did not even do a great job of keeping receipts. But, we are going to back up and gather as much data as we can and do a video to let you guys know what it cost to build our van! Hope that helps!! 3) For other questions we are getting asked a lot, we will be putting together a Van Tour Q&A Video in the next week or two to answer all of those for you! What amazes me is the shower. I have seen a lot with a shower but usually is a tiny box.. This one is the most clever idea! Wow! Awesome. If i build a van one day i will definitely use some of your ideas!

yeah i was thinking it's the best build ever as soon as they reached the bathroom, but not only for that. I am afraid this conversion must have been very expensive though, i am looking forward to watching the cost video coming soon. But anyway that's up to each person, and in their case they are making a great use of the investment done.

@@olisk-jy9rz Have you seen the wiring in the diesel pushers? They are ALL a fargin nightmare! Crimp connectors, improper routing, etc. One would think they could do better for 200-600k!
They've cracked it! Having a good shower in a camper van is the most important thing in my opinion and this is the best one I've seen! The whole van is really well laid out as well, great job! 👍
The bathroom was already killer. You wonder how they could do anything even more creative than that, and then boom! Screen door. It all seems so obvious NOW. Thank goodness for this build. This van has so many things you didn't even know you'd want in a camper build. I feel like every company that steals this design owes them money for every van they sell.

This is the best van I've seen so far because it has everything! I love the full solar with good battery backup, along with a real shower and toilet setup. When I watch RUclips van tours without toilets or showers, I stop watching because they're simply not viable or practical. Yours definitely IS! I love it.
Crazy thought, but, do you think it would be possible to incorporate a small deep bath in a van your size? If I lived full time in a van home, a bath is a 'must have!' The air circulation 🎉 is fabulous. Roof fans, screen door, screen flaps at the back. So necessary when you’re living in there, steamy cooking, humid showering. LOVE IT.
Ive watched every van video I could find for the last 5 years and this is easily the overall winner for full time living....I also used your instruction for the recirculating shower and am using it currently....Every van build I saw I thought was just not functional enough for me full time so I built a much bigger truck, if I had seen your van before I pulled the trigger on mine I may have reconsidered.... :)
Hi I am waiting n looking forward to joining the van life is the Mercedes the best option because of its size I would like to have the kids sleep over if they ever want to so thts my concern. They just have sleep space for them
@@SnowAndCurt Only used it a few weeks and now I have a faulty UV sterilizer....My luck with Ebay sellers has not been good, many faulty products and sellers who disappear when you start having problems......I will win in the end though.
Recirculating shower...? Ooh. That was something I wanted. Actually, give me a full tub and a water heater and I'm there. I hate wasting water as it is. If I could recirculating the tub water and filter it, I definitely would. If it were cost efficient. I wish Mercedes was affordable. I know they're solid, but the other downside is parts are very expensive. I didn't find the driver's seats in most comfy at the RV show. And hopefully you'll find a guy who knows Mercedes when it breaks down.

Company's that build RVs have solved problems like rooms years ago. I guess it's about the crazy price but surprised more people don't watch those videos and ones taken at RV shows. Kurt and Snow have a nice sense of visual design. 😎
I recently saw a van where the shower and toilet is at the back of the van, so is separated from kitchen, living area. The bathroom faces the back. There's a distint separation from the rest of the living, kitchen space. But this van is pretty cool too.

I’ve seen many of these videos and many different van builds and this thing BY FAR is the nicest and most practical build I’ve seen! Both with the way you mapped the interior and with your exterior stuff like water system, etc. absolutely awesome!
Best van conversion I’ve seen on RUclips BY A LONG SHOT. The question I come out with is, how do the roof fans work if the entire roof seems to be covered with the solar panels? How do you pull air in or put air out if it’s covered up there?
The roof box is not air or water tight... it is designed to allow enough sir for the fans... And the height of the box is just enough for the fans to open. They work perfect with the box open or closed! Thanks for the kind words!

Somehow you guys think about all the things I would want in a van. Fridge, Shower and an all electric system is a must for me. It is honestly amazing all the tech you have got in your van plus an extra bed really amazing! The design and screen door are game changers! I’ve been casually watching van builds for a few years now to seriously watching them the last few weeks. From the Class B RV made vans to all the custom van companies I finally was able to tell my husband this was my favorite and I could see myself living in it. This is hands down one of the best van builds I've seen! It's beautiful and functional. So many vanlifers seem to act like bathing and restroom facilities aren't a big deal, but to me they definitely are. I'm glad to see vanlifers who incorporated this into their build.

It is FANTASTIC to see fat and older vanlifers with their amazing builds. It seems like the only people who make videos about their vans are fitness instructors and rock climbers. As if vanlife is ONLY for young, fit, athletes who've never woken up with a sore back in their lives. I ADORE this design, and the ingenuity with the double squeegee doors for the shower is utterly genius. It's clear, from the genius shower and the proper-sized refridgerator, that this isn't a van made to live out of, to only be driven between urban cities, this is a van made to be lived IN, to be capable of preparing for and taking you wherever you want.

This is the best van I've seen so far because it has everything! I love the full solar with good battery backup, along with a real shower and toilet setup. When I watch RUclips van tours without toilets or showers, I stop watching because they're simply not viable or practical. Yours definitely IS! I love it.

Because it's a car, you'll likely never get what you paid for it. Not even close. Most likely. But no matter if you get as much as possible out of it.

Have a look at Greg Virgoe. He has made a great and very detailed series of his van build.
The air circulation 🎉 is fabulous. Roof fans, screen door, screen flaps at the back. So necessary when you’re living in there, steamy cooking, humid showering. LOVE IT.

Ive watched every van video I could find for the last 5 years and this is easily the overall winner for full time living....I also used your instruction for the recirculating shower and am using it currently....Every van build I saw I thought was just not functional enough for me full time so I built a much bigger truck, if I had seen your van before I pulled the trigger on mine I may have reconsidered.... :)

Hi I am waiting n looking forward to joining the van life is the Mercedes the best option because of its size I would like to have the kids sleep over if they ever want to so thts my concern. They just have sleep space for them
We chose the Mercedes sprinter 170 extended because it was the biggest available!
@@SnowAndCurt Only used it a few weeks and now I have a faulty UV sterilizer....My luck with Ebay sellers has not been good, many faulty products and sellers who disappear when you start having problems......I will win in the end though.
Recirculating shower...? Ooh. That was something I wanted. Actually, give me a full tub and a water heater and I'm there. I hate wasting water as it is. If I could recirculating the tub water and filter it, I definitely would. If it were cost efficient.
I wish Mercedes was affordable. I know they're solid, but the other downside is parts are very expensive. I didn't find the driver's seats in most comfy at the RV show. And hopefully you'll find a guy who knows Mercedes when it breaks down.

Company's that build RVs have solved problems like rooms years ago. I guess it's about the crazy price but surprised more people don't watch those videos and ones taken at RV shows.

I recently saw a van where the shower and toilet is at the back of the van, so is separated from kitchen, living area. The bathroom faces the back. There's a distint separation from the rest of the living, kitchen space.
But this van is pretty cool too.

I’ve seen many of these videos and many different van builds and this thing BY FAR is the nicest and most practical build I’ve seen! Both with the way you mapped the interior and with your exterior stuff like water system, etc. absolutely awesome!

The question I come out with is, how do the roof fans work if the entire roof seems to be covered with the solar panels? How do you pull air in or put air out if it’s covered up there?
The roof box is not air or water tight... it is designed to allow enough sir for the fans... And the height of the box is just enough for the fans to open. They work perfect with the box open or closed! Thanks for the kind words!

Somehow you guys think about all the things I would want in a van. Fridge, Shower and an all electric system is a must for me. It is honestly amazing all the tech you have got in your van plus an extra bed really amazing! The design and screen door are game changers! I'll be copying all your ideas, but I don't think I can match the build quality. Well Done.

I’ve been casually watching van builds for a few years now to seriously watching them the last few weeks. From the Class B RV made vans to all the custom van companies I finally was able to tell my husband this was my favorite and I could see myself living in it.

This is hands down one of the best van builds I've seen! It's beautiful and functional. So many vanlifers seem to act like bathing and restroom facilities aren't a big deal, but to me they definitely are. I'm glad to see vanlifers who incorporated this into their build.

The amount of technical detail that went into your rig is astounding. I know whats behind those panels, and the fact that you were able to cram it all in in there is fabulous. I have never seen anything as detailed but still has that home feel such as your van. Nicely done!

It is FANTASTIC to see fat and older vanlifers with their amazing builds. It seems like the only people who make videos about their vans are fitness instructors and rock climbers. As if vanlife is ONLY for young, fit, athletes who've never woken up with a sore back in their lives. I ADORE this design, and the ingenuity with the double squeegee doors for the shower is utterly genius. It's clear, from the genius shower and the proper-sized refridgerator, that this isn't a van made to live out of, to only be driven between urban cities, this is a van made to be lived IN, to be capable of preparing for and taking you wherever you want.
