This bus really reflects her darling personality. I would have given up the closet and made a bathroom for me but would not made any other changes
Yes even a wet bath and a Drop down TV at the end of the bed or one of those that rises up out of a cubby nook by a remote control.
Agreed I don’t understand people who have a build with no bathroom. That would be essential if I were looking for one
You think a shower and toilet could fit in that little closet?!
But realize a bathroom has a lot of empty space whereas the closet is stuffed. Lots of vanlifers end up removing bathroom/shower or repurposing. She could always incorporate a potty elsewhere in the van.
A wet bath would be ideal for something this small.
Her bus interior looked calming with those light wood colour and lighter paint. Felt clean line and not clutter at all. most of all, love her way of doing her own way, and accepting the mistakes and just be herself. No, we don't have to wait for someone to move on. You go girl!💪
I really appreciate her honesty about where she made mistakes, would change things, struggled, and things she thrifted
It's very nice but what about a bathroom and shower ?
Add a small restroom and you're set ! Beautiful Bus Camper !
I love how she used so many reclaimed materials from ingenious places! And for a beautiful result. Happy travels!
cute little rig but i think id like some restroom facilities
I think the leather tab drawer pulls are so smart, especially in such a narrow space. OMG, Paint sticks? I'd have never thought of it!
I would turn the closet into bath and this would be perfect for me
I'd definitely go for more cabinets on top so that I could fit in a shower and toilet
Fr make the couch smaller and put a bathroom in
Great job!!!! I couldn´t live without a shower and without a toilet. But the rest of the bus is PEPRFECT. Congratulations!
I love the light, clean look of this build.
She is so resourceful. The lock mechanism and the overall look from sourced material looks amazing.

Semi-retired welder-fabricator here.
I like the sight-lines front-to-rear.
The closet creates intimacy in the bed area, and its horizontal lines direct the eye into the greater space.
Visually very appealing!
.
And minimal cabinets above waist-level increase the sense of visual and visceral openness [applause].
.
With nearly two decades full-time live-aboard in our ExpeditionVehicle -- after a half-century of camping in lesser rigs -- we evolved toward many of similar design decisions.
.
Maggie,
We think you are a natural at this.
Everybody in the office and shop is looking forward to your next build!
I'm not sure I could do without shower or toilet...public rest rooms are not my thing & I always try to avoid them..
I kept thinking if it were just one bank of windows longer a small bathroom could have been fit in. Other then that it's really nice though.
I was hoping her drawers in front of the bed was a cassette toilet, or some other kind but no and she doesn't even address it. Being a "woman of a certain age" (quote from doctors) I need access to a toilet at all odd times of day and night.
@@creatingitonedayatatime yeah..I agree..being a women who gets up twice a night I wouldn't want to be without one....THERES BEARS IN THEM THERE WOODS!!
I agree, at least a toilet would be nice
the soft colors and feminine textures are gorgeous. I'd feel very at home in that van.
FUNCTIONAL & BEAUTIFULLY WELL DONE! 😱
Thank you for watching!
I love this 😀 please be careful!
Mistakes? Meh. I LOVE the creativity that goes into these conversions.
For such large space no toilet and shower???
I love how simple and clean the interior design is, it has a super relaxing/calming aesthetic. Nice work!!
The bus is lovely but her personality is the best ❤️ She seems so nice! I love all the effort she put into the conversion.
Looks so open and airy. One of my favorite bus build.
All the negative nancies can take a hike! Beautiful bus! Beautiful and sweet young girl pretty genius at recycling and decorating! I love the build, colors chosen and layout! And Love that dress! Thank you for sharing all your hard work and creativity that went into your skoolie! Many Blessings and stay safe! 💜
Hello Teresa, hope you don't mind us being friends okay 🌹
First time I see a real and honest built ideas and suggestions. Thanks
For not having the skills, I think you did a great job! Your place is very nice. I like how resourceful you were about getting the supplies you wanted. Using an old rug, thrown out velvet, fabric for curtains, and cabinets. You put your stamp on it. And you have a great can do attitude. Thank you for sharing your van with us.
I love the light colors you used . It makes you bus look like a home. I'm loving the ceiling wood , its sooo nice. Good job on your build.
I didn’t hear you mention anything about your shower or toilet. The bus is so adorable!
I ENJOY RECLAIMING! 👍
She did great!
I'm a 54yr old female and this something I've been looking to do..but I'm limited in money and health.I really want to do this bad. I've been collecting furniture and materials that can be refurbished and used for a multitude of applications. I've been dragging my feet thinking this is impossible..but young lady you've inspired me..looking at your tenacity and workmanship with no experience, oh less not forget the repurposing..you amaze and inspire me. Stay safe ,be careful and mindful of your surroundings..lot of love and joy your way!🥰🥰
what's up with all the awful and disrespectful comments? she did a good job learning things from scratch. yes, there's room for improvement, but why all the nasty comments!?
Hi Maggie, loved your video and that you did your bus conversion mostly by yourself, learning along the way. I'm an old retired General Contractor and Building Official and love to see young people who show initiative and drive to create for themselves. Sadly, those traits are rare these days, so it is really refreshing to see, when I can find examples like yours. Good luck with your future travels.
Maggie, your statement at 14:45-15:10 is 100% accurate. Do your dreams, if you wait on someone else, you shortchange yourself. And it IS empowering!❣
She's so adorable. I can see a lot of strength in her small frame. I wonder why she didn't opt for a shower and toilet. That would've been my starting point. Safe travels young lady.
Beautifull just missing a bathroom , peronaly i would have rather have a bathroom then a closet.
I've watched a number of videos on converting buses and vans and the women always install a closet and the men install a shower or bathroom.
I can never understand the no bathroom or at least a toilet
Please keep those gorgeous curtains!! Use your love for seeing to make magnetic window covers just for nighttime with reflectix or whatever you choose. Those curtains you have just add to the beautiful decor.
All you people whining about her not having a bathroom and shower - a lot, maybe most people, that do this are using gym memberships, etc. for that.
Awesome bus build especially coming from not having any experience. Very clean and bright and perfect for you. Great job!!
I love how you made a sofa cushion out of that rug.
🤔…….No shower or toilet. But it is her first build, and I think you did an amazing job putting this bus together. Especially the storage you created in your bus. However, I get the feeling that this may be your first, but not your last build. You’re so smart and innovative. I also love how you were able to salvage different items in your build! I know you’re very proud of what you have created, but I believe years down the road, with the knowledge you’ve gained, you will build another camper with more improvements. Great job!!! 😉
Really great build! Cozy and bright. I would feel scared to not have any blackout curtains though. Also, a bathroom would be great.
Pretty amazing how much recycled materials went into this bus. Great job, Maggie!
She did an awesome job and a lot of her items are repurposed . I would of gone with a max fan instead of a sky light but once she has something to hold it open it will give more airflow . I have no doubt with upgrading her solar panels to what she wants and making darker curtains her bus will become everything she needs . Job well done !
Great build! Light & airy. 👍 ❤from Ohio
🖤
As a woman (who is a little pretty handy, but also not a professional), her tenacity and resourcefulness (IKEA bedframe and speakers) through the build is inspiring. I’m impressed by how everything came out and how modest and refreshing she is. Even though she’s pointing out some of the mistakes she made, everything looks so professional and thoughtful (particularly the lock latch and the curtains), and she encourages you to learn from those mistakes! This gives me so much hope and motivation to keep striving to do similar projects.
Why mention sex?
This is a nice rig irregardless of sex.
“aS a WoMaN” stfu
Very nice but I personally would need a bathroom and shower
You did an awesome job. You should feel empowered. I wish I were just a few years younger and my health was better.
Live the dream girl and have fun.
You tried to say follow the professionals in the sweetest way,but YOU did it girl,& now you gained so much skill through experience!!😊👏🏽
She's not mentioning toilet and bath so important for me
I think she opted out so she must use public bathrooms possibly gym showers or beach showers or friends and family. Bathrooms are always important she should of mentioned what she does for that def agree
I still like it tho! Just bring 2 buckets.
Sameee
@@garyprater8139 LOL 😅😂
Same!! It so cute though but needs at least a bathroom. But she said she was mostly on her own.
Cute rig. Your sewing skills are nice
Nice, but not even a hint at bathroom facilities - no toilet, no shower?
Where would you put one?
Everywhere is a bathroom on the road.
@@peterlogan2105 Wait until you are in your 60s and you have maybe 2.5 seconds to get to the bathroom before it's too late...then tell me that.
Absolutely May be true for a man but security for women on the road. At least a pop up and bucket…
I put a porta potty in mine.
I love your story and your determination.
YOU ROCK.
Keep up the fight
Absolutely gorgeous! Perfect flower child, prairie, Japanese aesthetic.
You did a terrific job on your bus. It looks fabulous!!
Have fun out there!
Be safe, stay well, and God bless
Glad things turned out great for you. I'm also even more glad that you were not a victim to a bad relationship that ended fatal
I truly like your build. Ideal. You did a great job. I particularly like the front seat cover and the door locks.
She knows French seams! That's a super seam. Cool.
Gorgeous build. Thank goodness you broke up...you are living your dream. Blessings. RIP Gabby.
Maggie your bus is beautiful! I love the colors you used. Wonderful clean lines and uncluttered. Great job! Thanks for sharing this with us Isaac.
Thank you for watching 💗
So beautiful, yet resourceful 👏🏼 she did an amazing job 👏🏼 girl power 🙌🏼
She did an awesome job!
Adorable. So is the bus!
It's so light and airy well thought out. Nice design touches. That bunk is cool 😎
💗
So all the work is good, and knowing where to improve is better. But all of that is obvious. This gal is as cute as any button I've ever seen.
Hell, cuter
Apparently she doesn't shower though lol
Loved this bus build. Maggie did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing Issac.
🙏💗
One of the things I really admire about this bus conversion is the amount of bargain purchases and repurposed parts and materials. Winning ! 👍🏻
Looks beautiful and great job young lady
Beautiful ... but where is the toilet & shower.
Well done Maggie! Your colors and creative nature have served you well. I love your little home!
Your bus build is so cute! I love it!
Agreed
You obviously have a spark inside you, nicely done. It's so awesome that when you and your pard went separate ways, you didn't give up. More than that with no experience you made a beautiful, functional, Home! Nicely done.
You’re such a breath of fresh air. You did an amazing job,
Hello Sandra, hope you don't mind us being friends okay 🌹
Very nice build. Looks profesionally done to me, well done Maggie
Yes, definitely looks all pro.
Love the style. She reminds me of a young Sally Field.
"I've got my propane down here for my kitchen trashcan."
Sounds like a badass trash can.
This bus is awesome and absolutely beautiful 😍. I'm super impressed she built this mostly by herself. Good for her👍 Another amazing bus tour for sure. Thx, Isaac😄
Thank you so much Des I appreciate you 🙏💗
I love all the repurposimg she has done.
I love how much is reclaimed from this!
I love how custom it was a very tiny home for a very tiny person that was so cute it melted my heart thank you so much for sharing❤
awesome use of space and 'fluidity". I am considering a schoolie and I love the ideas that people use on these schoolie projects!!!! Kudos!!
The paint stir stick floor 😳🤯turned out great. This is a beautiful build.
Ahhh I love Maggies bus.. So perfect for her :) and the design is just so so beautiful!
Ugh, love you guys 😭💛
Lovely. You did a great job.
Absolutely love this bus/home it's very lovely!
I actually thought that the closet was going to be The bathroom! So was extremely shocked when it was a closet! Which is cool..... But would rather it be a place to potty....maybe even a shower 🚿too!! Other than that the bus/home is perfect!! Absolutely perfect!!
And you go girl! How much more adorable could you be! So awesome keep following your dreams!
Cheers!
AWESOME BUS! BEAUTIFUL! ALL THE WOOD IS PERFECT. COZY. AND IM SO IMPRESSED WITH ALL THE THINGS YOU RECYCLED AND YOUR SEWING SKILLS! LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DID!
Maggie you're glowing!! I can't wait to see the finished thing in person so I will content myself with this tour. So nice to see all your hard work come together so wonderfully. Love ya and miss ya!
Love you so dang much, dude! I’ll have to come visit to show you in person. And thank you!! It really has been a dream come true 😭 Sending so so so much love to you 💛💛
@@maggiealdworth7660 Wow you're an amazing little woman! inspiring and motivational. I believe I feel In love check out one of my festivals come enjoy so music with us.
❤❤ you have a 4 window shortie like me. These are so hard to find and so it's so great to see yours. I love the floor and the door as well. So so beautiful and so much work. well done!!!
Thank you so much! And hooray for being bus twins!! 💛
Definitely keeping the paint stirring sticks in mind when I get my first van! floors look great!
You are an inspiration.thanks Maggie
Thats really a wonderful accomplishment. The lock was a great idea. The first video of the inside I thought was a camera trick because I was amazed how everything fit into that small space.
You did a beautiful job. I love your color scheme I love that blush and white and natural wood it's very very attractive very light and spacious. Your sewing skills are apparent and you did a wonderful job on those curtains and your seat cover and I just think you've got everything you need in there and it's really really nice job. Have adventures & 🐝 safe.
First, I am so impressed with your build! Second, I love your grammar use, because so many people don’t know the difference between run and ran. 😉 Third, I love how innovative and creative you were with your choices!
This goes to show even girls can build! I love how beautiful your bus turned out and how you figured it out!
Super clean bus
Maggie you go girl, I am so proud of you building your bus and you are still working on the road a lot of young people go on the road with a savings and I think that’s unrealistic to do , they make me nervous choosing not to work.
Such a smart young lady. Cute skoolie creation; but gotta have an indoor toilet/place to wash up. Stay safe.
Doing without a bathroom
must've been tough for people
during the draconian lockdowns. Especially since the
gyms were closed. I would definitely give some serious thought to the basic necessities, if I ever find the
skoolie of my dreams. 🚿🚽
Still it's a sweet little bus and
a sweet girl. Stay safe!
I'd switch that wardrobe for a shower/toilet. And slide out the fridge. But then I like to have cider handy. :P
Such a cute fit out. Definitely suits your personality. Great job
She and her bus are SUPER CUTE
Wow, this girl is super talented! Love her bus ❤
Beautiful job ❗️
